Part of the police chase scene, towards the end of the movie, was shot in August of 1987 around Union Station in Washington DC. Some of the background people were real visitors at the train station.
The movie's working title was "Beauty and Denise" during filming in 1987. It was titled "The Cover Girl and the Cop" when it aired on NBC in 1989.
