Adam Baldwin and Roy Scheider in Cohen & Tate (1988)

Goofs

Cohen & Tate

Edit

Factual errors

In the final scene, Cohen stops his badly damaged car in a downtown area. It is immediately surrounded by the many police cruisers that were giving chase. Dozens of officers leave these vehicles, pull their weapons, and take aim at Cohen. But none of them gives him any kind of command. In a real situation, at least one officer would immediately order Cohen to drop his weapon and follow other necessary instructions.

Revealing mistakes

During the nighttime driving scenes, many round white glares from freeway lights are visible through the side windows of Cohen and Tate's car. However, even though the vehicle is traveling at freeway speeds, these lights barely move.
A Bell 206 JetRanger is used as a police helicopter during the finale - the Houston Police Department operated the Hughes 300 (light duty observation) and 500. Schweizer Aircraft (later Sikorsky) continues to build the Hughes 300 and the 500 was rebranded as the MD500 (McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, now MD Helicopters since 1999 after Boeing divested the McDonnell Douglas civilian line of helicopters after the Boeing/McDonnell Douglas merger in 1997).

Crew or equipment visible

At 1:01:33, during the nighttime foot-chase & escape on the busy freeway, film crew/safety personnel are seen crouching next to the jersey barrier, on an un-watered lane, alongside fire extinguishing equipment.
