Thanks to its premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, Babygirl made waves ahead of its theatrical release and it helps that it boasts an all-star cast. Directed by Halina Reijn (Bodies Bodies Bodies), the Nicole Kidman-led erotic thriller centers on Romy, a high-powered CEO who finds herself entangled in a high-stakes affair with her much younger intern, Samuel (Harris Dickinson). Although Romy is mostly satisfied with her long-time marriage to Jacob (Antonio Banderas), something is missing when it comes to desire and sex. Hailed as one of the best erotic thrillers in years, Babygirl explores complex power dynamics.
Not only does the film feature an age-gap romance, but Babygirl plays with the characters' positions of power. While Kidman's Romy is in charge in the workplace, the ever-confident Samuel takes control elsewhere. The character-driven narrative easily makes Babygirl one of Nicole Kidman's best movies, though it also leaves ample room for Dickinson,...

Nicole Kidman, is that you?
Instead of her usual impressively youthful appearance, the 49-year-old Oscar winner looks nearly unrecognizable as she dons a curly grey wig on the set of Australian crime drama Top of the Lake.
Wearing a puffy black jacket and Ugg boots to combat Sydney's coldest day in 20 years, Kidman was spotted making her way to the hair and makeup truck for a touch-up – it takes a lot of makeup to make Kidman look elderly!

Nicole Kidman has signed on to star in the second season of television thriller "Top of the Lake".
Nicole is reteaming with her The Portrait of a Lady director, Jane Campion, for Top of the Lake: China Girl, after the BBC confirmed her casting following months of rumors. The news was announced as the actress arrived in Sydney to begin filming with series star Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss.
Nicole's appearance in the show will be the Moulin Rouge star's first television production in Australia since 1989 for miniseries Bangkok Hilton.

Together with the release of Lee Daniel’s The Paperboy and the unleashing of Charlotte Bless upon the world, we take a look back at half a dozen equally extraordinary Kidman performances.
Though we had a plethora of roles to choose from, these six stood head and shoulders above the rest, each sharing a common thread of magic that allowed these complex even unlikeable characters veracity and charm.
Katrina Stanton, Bangkok Hilton (1989)
Although her turn in Dead Calm was the performance that grabbed the attention of the movie going world (and the heart of Tom Cruise), television drama Bangkok Hilton – released the same year – revealed far more range in the emotional vocabulary of the talented auburn newcomer.

Katie Holmes was an actress once – surely, you remember. This was before she turned into a dead-eyed, cult-dodging, Stepford wife, famous only for putting designer heels on her precocious tot and pacing the streets of Manhattan as she plotted her escape.
A fresh-faced Katie Holmes in Dawsons Creek
And with exquisite timing, we have a reminder of her talents, as her film Jack and Jill – the Hilarious Adam Sandler vehicle – goes on DVD release today. Like several of her projects since becoming Mrs Cruise, its cinema audience reception amounted to one big Mr Babbage-sounding raspberry, although the more curious Katie-watchers may well tip DVD sales over a more respectable line this week.
However, people “close” to the “actress” are hoping that Holmes, like Nicole Kidman before her, will enjoy a revitalised career now that she has escaped the grip of what her reps are insisting was a “suffocating” “controlling” personal life,...

Nicole Kidman is a 43-year-old wife and mother of four who also happens to be one of the biggest movie stars in the world and one of the most respected actresses of her generation. Therefore, as you can imagine, it was a great privilege and thrill for me to be granted a half-hour one-on-one interview with her last Saturday — the day between the Critics Choice and the Golden Globe awards, both of which she attended as a best actress nominee for her performance as a mother grieving over the death of her child in the critically-acclaimed low-budget indie “Rabbit Hole” (Lionsgate, 12/17, PG-13, trailer) — and pick her brain about a wide-range of topics. We met on the second floor of Siren Studios, a sparsely decorated building used by professional photographers for photoshoots like the one that Kidman was to be a subject of following our conversation. The corner where we sat...
