Apple TV+ Thriller, Before, Gets First Look & Stars Iconic Comedian Billy Crystal in Surprising Role
Image
Apple TV+ has now shared a first look at Before, revealing the first images of legendary comedian and star When Harry Met Sally... and City Slickers, Billy Crystal, in a very different kind of role. Before promises to be an atmospheric, character-driven psychological thriller and stars multi-award-winning actor, comedian and filmmaker Billy Crystal in the lead.

Before stars Crystal as Eli, a child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn (Light), encounters a troubled young boy, Noah (Jupe), who seems to have a haunting connection to Elis past. As Eli attempts to help Noah, their mysterious bond deepens.

You can check out the newly released images of Before below. And they certainly paint a much darker, more sinister atmosphere than were used to seeing Crystal in.

The ten-episode series is executive produced by Crystal, Oscar Award-winner Eric Roth and creator Sarah Thorp and will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday,...

Henry Winkler remembers the Tom Hanks feud that got him fired from Turner & Hooch
Image
Last Updated on June 10, 2024

Both Tom Hanks and Henry Winkler seem like just about the hardest guys in the business to feud with – and so they had it out with themselves! Not even two weeks into filming 1988’s Turner & Hooch, Winkler was fired from directing the film because he and Hanks just couldn’t jive. Don’t worry, Winkler and the French Mastiff got along just fine.

Appearing on the How to Fail podcast (via the New York Post), Henry Winkler remembered, “I did 11 weeks of preparation.I knew this dog. This slobbery mastiff and I became friends. The star did not become my friend.” When prompted if he actually meant Tom Hanks and not the pooch, Beasley, Winkler responded, “I probably do.”

Winkler was able to pinpoint the exact moment that his fate was sealed on Turner & Hooch, selling out Hanks to an eager fan. “We were in Carmel,...

'Royal Pains': Where was Henry Winkler pre-Eddie Lawson?
Henry Winkler joins the cast of USA's "Royal Pains" on Thursday (June 10) in the recurring role of Hank (Mark Feurstein) and Evan's (Paulo Costanzo) scam artist dad, Eddie Lawson.

We're definitely excited to see Henry "the Fonz" Winkler in USA's hit show -- and we're not the only ones. TV son Mark Feurstein recently told Zap2it's Korbi TV, "I love having the Fonz as my dad.... I worshipped the Fonz growing up."

Even after over a quarter century has passed since Winkler played the role of Arthur Fonzarelli, many (like his "Royal Pains" co-star) still know him as "the Fonz." Perhaps that's because most folks don't know what exactly he's been up to since his iconic role on "Happy Days." So ... we thought we'd take a closer look into Winkler's post-"Happy Days" (1974 - 1984), pre-"Royal Pains" (2010) days to answer the burning question: where in the world was Winkler for the past 26 years?...
