Jim Varney in Le père Noël est en prison (1988)

Trivia

Le père Noël est en prison

Edit
John Cherry the director of this movie and of most of the other Ernest movies said he thought this was the best of the Ernest movies.
The "Orlando Children's Museum" featured in this movie was actually the Orlando Science Center, which has since moved to a new location. The building is now used for city's annual Shakespeare Festival and other theater performances.
The reindeer in the film were flown from Northern Ontario, Canada to the film's production in Orlando, Florida. During filming, production ran into trouble when on the reindeer's first day on the set, in 95° heat, their antlers began to shed, literally falling off exposing bloody nubs. Reindeer makeup was called in, prop antlers were considered but the reindeer weren't having it. Ultimately, the reindeer scenes were rescheduled and re-shot in Nashville, Tennessee two months later.
This is the second time Ernest dresses up as Auntie Nelda. He would play her for most of the series up to Ernest Goes to Africa (1997).
The only Ernest movie in which Vern "appears." unless Ernest on splash mountain the 1989 made for TV Ernest movie counts as an Ernest movie.
