You might have to wait a while to get an appointment with Lindsey Ferrentino — her diary is looking pretty packed.
The playwright and screenwriter has become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand creatives and is, at this very moment, writing a staggering five films for Netflix, including an adaptation of a book by celebrated fantasy author Rebecca Yarros.
The Florida-born Ferrentino, 36, sat down for coffee with THR in sunny central London to discuss her extensive slate of projects on the horizon. On Thursday, her newest production, The Fear of 13, opens on the city’s West End with Adrien Brody in the lead. It tells the true story of Nick Yarris, who spent 22 years on death row before his exoneration.
The show is based on a 2015 documentary by filmmaker David Sington. Adapted for the stage by Ferrentino, tickets at the 251-seat Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden sold out in two hours.

The sci-fi horror A Quiet Place franchise is heading to New York with its latest entry, A Quiet Place: Day One, which is set to reach theatres on June 28th – and with that release date just a few weeks away, Empire has published an interview with director Michael Sarnoski, who earned a lot of positive attention with his feature directorial debut Pig (watch it Here) a few years ago, in which he discusses what it was like to enter the world that was created by John Krasinski, the director of A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place: Part II.
Sarnoski said, “When [Krasinski] first brought me onto the project, his directive was, ‘Can you bring some of that Pig touch to the A Quiet Place universe?’ What he wanted was to see someone else play in the sandbox that he had created. Finding those differences was exciting. It wasn’t something that we leaned away from.

Kevin Hart wiped away tears on stage as he looked up from the bronze bust on a pedestal to the trio of comedy legends who had come to witness his professional highlight.
In the VIP balcony of the Kennedy Center opera house, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle sat side by side, watching Hart accept the Mark Twain Prize for lifetime achievement in comedy Sunday night.
“I didn’t start doing what I was doing to get awards,” Hart said. “I just fell in love with the idea of comedy.”
Hart rose from the open mics and comedy clubs of his native Philadelphia to become one of his country’s most recognizable performers — honing a signature style that combines his diminutive height, expressive face and motormouth delivery into an arena-packing stand-up act. He became the latest recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in a raucous ceremony...

Blame it on the shoes. Jennifer Lopez took a little tumble at the American Music Awards on Sunday night during her performance of "Louboutins." But she like totally meant to trip! "Did I trip a little bit? I don't even remember," Lopez, joked on Monday morning during an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Kiis FM. "Yeah, I meant to do that. That was part of the choreography." While she was joking about it being apart of the choreography, she actually had a good sense of humor about the whole thing. "The measure of things isn't what happens when...
