Reacher Season 4 Reveals the 16-Year-Old Book It Will Adapt
Image
A new tease for the fourth season of Reacherhas been revealed by Lee Child, the author of the original book series that the hit Prime Video show is based on. Fans of the books me also see the update as a tease for which book is inspiring the plot of Season 4.

A new image was shared on Instagram by the official account for Child on X. The photo shows what seems to be a script for Reacher Season 4 on the seat of a subway car, though the author only stated in the caption, "Reacher S4..." It could be a coincidence that the script is on a subway car, or this more likely could be a clue that Season 4 will be based on 2009's Gone Tomorrow, one of Child's Jack Reacher novels that begins with the character traveling on a subway in New York City when the action begins. Image
The Reacher universe is expanding on Prime Video with the upcoming spinoff Neagley. Maria Sten's Frances Neagley will headline the spinoff, although fans can expect an appearance from Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher.

Since October 2024, when the Reacher spinoff was greenlit by Prime Video, fans have been wondering if Ritchson would make a cameo as Jack Reacher. While no official casting announcement has been made, Ritchson is now confirmed to appear in Neagley, with his cameo spoiled by the MLB of all people. After Ritchson was spotted filming a scene with Sten a few days ago in the stands at an actual Cubs game, the official X account for the MLB shared a couple of photos of the two actors in the stands. At this time, it remains to be seen if Ritchson's Neagley cameo will extend beyond this scene.

Alan Ritchson Crushed His Reacher Audition Despite Amazon Promising The Role To Someone Else
Image
Reacher star Alan Ritchson recalls "crushing" his lengthy audition and winning the lead role in the show, despite Amazon having promised it to someone else. Based on Lee Child's Jack Reacher novel series, the hit Prime Video adaptation premiered in 2022, following Ritchson as the titular former military police officer as he travels from town to town taking down criminals. Reacher recently returned for season 3, earning some of the show's most positive reviews yet with its adaptation of Child's Persuader novel, propelling Ritchson to yet new heights as a leading man.

In a recent video for Wired in which he answers questions suggested by Google's autocomplete search feature, Ritchson reveals that he wasn't actually the original choice to star in Reacher and that another actor had been promised the part. Though Ritchson doesn't reveal the name of the other actor in question, he explains that he was ultimately...

The following contains spoilers for Reacher Season 3, Episode 4, "Dominique," now streaming on Prime Video.

However, as with many Reacher stories, he is mixing some personal affairs into this professional job. “Alan was born to play Reacher”: Jack Reacher Author Reveals Why Tom Cruise Was a Horrible Choice as Alan Ritchson Returns for Season 3
Image
Book readers would’ve let a huge sigh of relief out when Alan Ritchson was cast in the role of Jack Reacher in Prime Video’s Reacher. An earlier film version of Lee Child’s book series starred Tom Cruise as the titular character, Fans of the books still frown upon the casting in Jack Reacher and its sequel despite Cruise’s solid performance.

The reason for the hatred was that Cruise did not match the physique of the character that Child had developed for his stories. Even Child admitted that Ritchson was a better Reacher than Cruise, despite closely working with the latter in the films

'Reacher' Season 3 Lands Rare Score on Rotten Tomatoes
Image
Jack Reacher returns with his third season, which is due to begin on Prime Video from today, and Alan Ritchson’s man-mountain drifter has come back fighting. The first reviews for the hit action series has now started to emerge, and things are looking seriously impressive for the latest adventure.

Reacher Season 3 now stands a perfect score of 100% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, suggesting that this is the best series of the show yet. Reacher has been a big hit with both critics and audiences alike, with Season 1 landing a score of 92% (91% on the Popcornmeter), which Season 2 achieved 98% from critics, but only 76% from audiences. Certainly, based on the response to Season 3 so far, it’s looking likely that the two groups will find themselves equally enamored with Reacher’s escapades once again.

MovieWeb’s own Greg Archer loved Reacher’s latest outing, calling Season 3 “edgy, gritty, and suspenseful in all the right places,...

Kevin Costner movies: 17 greatest films ranked worst to best
Image
In recent years, Kevin Costner has been seen less on the big screens and more on his television series “Yellowstone.” Westerns have been good to Costner at the movies, with his most successful winning him two Oscars as producer and director of “Dances with Wolves” in 1990.

Costner almost had a career that ended before it really started. After very small roles in a number of big films such as Ron Howard’s “Night Shift” and the Jessica Lange vehicle “Frances” Costner then got what could have been a star-making role. However, his role as a suicide victim in flashback scenes for “The Big Chill” was cut by director Lawrence Kasdan. The same director wou would later make it up to Costner by casting him in a showy role in the film “Silverado.”

That western launched him into a terrific run during the 1980s and 1990s, with headlining movies such as “The Untouchables,...

Reacher Confirms Season 3 Will Continue A Problematic Trend After Roscoe's Exit
Image
Willa Fitzgerald's Reacher exit as Roscoe Conklin brought the show's inaugural run to a natural finish, but the moment also served as a catalyst for an unfortunate trend that has now been confirmed to continue into the coming season. Reacher season 3 is set to be an adaptation of Persuader, which is the seventh in Lee Child's long line of Jack Reacher novels. As was the case with the Reacher season 2 cast, the new season will introduce several new characters while leaving most of the old ones behind. However, it's not this trend that is the problem.

Reacher season 2's explosive ending saw Alan Ritchson's title character resume his life as a lone wanderer and part ways with the 110th Special Investigations Unit. Although Maria Sten's Frances Neagley will appear in Reacher season 3, the show's semi-anthological approach means the upcoming story will be largely unrelated to seasons 1 and 2. That being said,...

‘The Substance’ Streaming: Where to Watch the Gory Thriller Starring Demi Moore

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission.

Plenty of films satirize Hollywood, dating back to 1950’s Sunset Boulevard and beyond, but few are as giddily gruesome as The Substance. The film stars Demi Moore as an actress who’s been deemed past her prime and pushed out of Hollywood, so she signs up for a regimen that promises to make a younger version of her (played by Margaret Qualley). Adam Driver’s Sci-Fi Thriller Getting New Streaming Home Nearly 2 Years After $60M Disappointment
Image
As much as Adam Driver's career has reached some impressive highs, it has been met with some notable lows. On the one hand, Driver has been a part of some major moneymakers over the past decade. All three of his Star Wars movies made over $1 billion, with Star Wars: The Force Awakens making just shy of $2.1 billion. On the other hand, however, Driver has played roles in films that have lost boatloads of money. Most infamously, he played the lead in Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis, which made a mere $13.8 million on an $120 million budget.

The same disparity applies to the critical reception of Driver's films as well. The actor has been a part of indie darlings like Frances Ha and Inside Llewyn Davis that have earned Certified Fresh Rotten Tomatoes scores of over 90%. His work has been praised in similarly high-scoring movies like Paterson and Marriage Story. On the other hand,...

Adam Driver Sci-Fi Movie With 36% Rt Score Is Leaving Netflix Very Soon
Image
Adam Driver has had an idiosyncratic career. He is simultaneously a beloved independent film actor who has also taken on controversial mainstream roles. Perhaps his most ire-inspiring role was playing Kylo Ren in the newer Star Wars movie, whose last installment, Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker, dismayed many fans. At the same time, however, Driver is a scene-stealer in movies like Inside Llewyn Davis and Frances Ha, which came out before his foray into a galaxy far, far away.

Driver's films have also gained notoriety in meme culture, and this year is no exception. The actor led the ensemble of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis, a dystopian sci-fi fantasy romp that was met with divisive responses. While some critics appreciated his performance, lines from the film, especially his delivery of "go back to the club." Before Megalopolis, Driver's Marriage Story character was among his most-memed works outside of Star Wars,...

With the month winding down, we picked the three best movies leaving Netflix in November 2024. We highly recommend watching these movies before they leave in a few days.

At the end of every month, Netflix usually loses the streaming rights to at least a handful of licensed movies. Some of these movies are the most popular movies on Netflix, but more often than not, it's older films.

Let's get the list started with Two Weeks Notice -- which you don't have to watch these movies; it's more like five days notice -- starring Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant!

Teri Garr Was a Comedic Genius Ahead of Her Time

In the 1982 comedy classic Tootsie, Teri Garr plays Sandy Lester, a struggling actress and close friend of Dustin Hoffman’s Michael Dorsey. Between her chosen profession and her many bad choices in men, she has been conditioned to be life’s doormat. In an early scene, she vents that she was trapped in Michael’s bathroom for a half-hour during a party while no one noticed, then admits that, yes, everyone seems to be having a good time. Later, when Michael stands her up for a dinner date, she somehow winds up apologizing to him.

Reacher Season 4 Renewed Before Season 3's 2025 Release
Image
Reacher season 4 has been confirmed at Prime Video. The second installment of the Alan Ritchson-led adaptation of Lee Child novels cemented the series' massive success, as it became the No. 1 title of the year for Prime Video in terms of total viewers across all series and films globally. As a result, Prime Video is moving forward with a spinoff focused on Maria Sten's Frances Neagley. But it's given an early confirmation that Jack Reacher himself isn't going too far.

Prime Video has confirmed that Reacher will return for season 4. The news comes ahead of the third installment's premiere, which is now confirmed to be released in 2025. More details about season 4 are so far unknown. However, even in the absence of first images and a trailer, a lot is already known about Reacher season 3.

Saoirse Ronan on track to be lucky 13th double Oscar nominee

Saoirse Ronan is getting some of the best reviews of her career for “The Outrun,” an intense drama about a woman battling her addiction to alcohol. 3 Years Later, Im Surprisingly Glad Kathy Bates Was Replaced In American Horror Story's 80% Rt Season
Image
In February 2020, Ryan Murphy announced the cast for American Horror Story: Double Feature, but some changes happened when it was time for filming. The line-up included well-loved veterans of the show such as Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Finn Wittrock, and Kathy Bates. However, due to the impact of Covid-19 and lockdown procedures, the season didn't premier until August 2021. Despite the long list of popular returning actors in the season, there was one actor who was noticeably absent from the season, Kathy Bates.

It soon became clear that the role Kathy Bates was originally supposed to play had been taken over by AHS veteran Frances Conroy. All we were told about Bates' character was that she would share a crazed, intimate scene with Macaulay Culkin's character, Mickey. Once I saw that scene acted out with Frances Conroy, it was made clear that she had taken over the character.

Ghostlight Is a Tiny Indie Film That's Already Frontrunner for 2024's Best
Image
Ghostlight, made on an almost non-existent budget, is generating buzz as one of the best movies of 2024. The film features incredible performances from a cast with real-life family connections. Critics and early viewers are raving about Ghostlight, praising its emotional depth and storytelling.

While many flock to theaters for the latest blockbuster spectacle, the indie film has carved out a special place in the hearts of many cinema fans. Recent stand-outs like Lady Bird, The Florida Project, and Frances Ha have made just as big an impact as any big-budget fodder. The wonderful thing about many of these movies is that they come out of nowhere, generating buzz on the festival circuit and slowly finding themselves mentioned among the best films of the year discussions despite having minimal budget and marketing behind them.

This makes Kelly O'Sullivan and Alex Thompson's recent hit on a nearly non-existent budget a pleasant...

Zack Snyder Reveals What Influenced His Biggest Failure to Date
Image
Anybody who has watched even one Zack Snyder film will tell you that the director approaches his work in a very particular and, to put it mildly, unusual way. Snyder leaves you with mixed feelings; some see him as a visionary, while others see him as a failure. Although he has directed some of the most famous comic book films ever, he has also produced a number of absolute failures.

Snyder has a very personal approach to his movies. It is gritty and dark, but it can also be campy and exaggerated, which is difficult to achieve given that campy and gritty are rarely compatible. While some of his works are well-received, others are panned, as the recent example of Rebel Moon illustrates.

But, aside from Rebel Moon, Zack Snyder has another epic failure in his filmography, a film that he himself views as a misunderstood masterpiece, while almost everyone...

‘His Three Daughters’ Trailer: Natasha Lyonne Reunites with Sisters Carrie Coon and Elizabeth Olsen
Image
Natasha Lyonne, Carrie Coon, and Elizabeth Olsen are coming home to their respective indie roots for grieving family drama “His Three Daughters.” The trio play the eponymous siblings for the Netflix film, which debuted at TIFF 2023. Coon stars as responsible sister Katie, who is tasked with carrying out her ailing father’s (Jay O. Sanders) end-of-life wishes. Olsen is her sister Christina who embraces the spiritual realm to cope with losing her dad, while Lyonne’s Rachel opts to smoke pot and disassociate.

Welcome back to Oscars Playback, in which Gold Derby editors and Experts Christopher Rosen and Joyce Eng revisit Oscar ceremonies and winners of yesteryear. This week, we cover the 55th Academy Awards in 1983, honoring the films of 1982.

There was no suspense as to what would win heading into the ceremony. “Gandhi” dominated from top to bottom, winning eight awards from its leading 11 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director for Richard Attenborough and Best Actor for Ben Kingsley. The biopic did not have a Best Actress contender, but even if it did, there was no beating Meryl Streep, who prevailed for “Sophie’s Choice.” She was such a lock that even fellow nominee Debra Winger‘s parents were rooting for Streep.

‘Ghostlight’ Review: An Illuminating Look at Performance, Theatrical and Otherwise
Image
Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson imbue the paradoxes of performing arts so deeply into their film Ghostlight that it even extends to the title. In a poetic sense, the light stand that illuminates an unpopulated theater isn’t for human eyes. It’s to appease or rebuff spirits, depending on who’s asked. But in a practical sense, the ghost light exists to help the living—mostly to avoid a fate like falling into the orchestra pit and joining the dead.

Life subsumes legend for O’Sullivan and Thompson in a worthy follow-up to their previous collaboration on the small-scale humanist triumph, 2020’s Saint Frances. Their ambition broadens significantly in Ghostlight, though their firm footing in sincerity and simplicity isn’t diminished in the slightest. The creative and life partners deliver a moving apologia for the value of theater by exploring its central contradiction: a performance is an act of honesty,...

Podtalk: Alex Thompson & Kelly O’Sullivan on Their Film ‘Ghostlight’
Image
Chicago – Two of the finest filmmakers who have roots in Chicago (college) are Alex Thompson and Kelly O’Sullivan. After Kelly wrote the acclaimed “Saint Frances” with Alex directing, their second film is a co-directing effort that is a brilliant meditation on finding one’s self after loss, and doing it through … acting.

Dan (Keith Kupferer) is a middle-aged construction worker grieving a family tragedy, and has cut himself off from his devoted wife Sharon (Tara Mallen) and talented but troubled daughter Daisy (Katherine Mallen Kupferer), Through an accidental circumstance, Dan finds comfort and community in a misfit company of amateur actors. While performing for the first time in a low-rent production of a Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy, Dan is forced to confront his buried emotions.

Jessica Lange: ‘I’ve Never Really Felt Like I Belong Anywhere’ — Certainly Not Hollywood
Image
Jessica Lange plays the type of women you best keep your guard up around. Step carefully, or she could hurt you with a turn of phrase so gutting because it locates all your insecurities. But that’s also because these women are broken, too, and played with the rare cocktail of vulnerability, resolve, and brio that the two-time Oscar winner is known for on stage and screen.

In Paula Vogel’s (“How I Learned to Drive”) “Mother Play,” a “play in five evictions” now on Broadway as part of Second Stage Theater, Lange is Phyllis, a hardheaded, chain-smoking, martini-swilling matriarch and — oh, when hasn’t Lange played a hardheaded, chain-smoking, martini-swilling matriarch, or at least a complicated woman with a gamut of dependency and emotional issues? Stage roles in Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie” or “A Streetcar Named Desire,” and Eugene O’Neill’s “Long Day’s Journey Into Night” put...

‘To Live, to Die, to Live Again’ Review: Gaël Morel’s ’90s-Set AIDS Drama Seems a Throwback Before Pointing to a Brighter Future
Image
Nobody really makes AIDS dramas anymore, which seems as good a reason as any to make one now. The disease that, forty-odd years ago, decimated a generation of queer people and prompted a prejudice-driven global panic hasn’t gone away — least of all in various developing countries, where it isn’t popularly defined by gender or sexuality, and death rates are still high. But its narrative has changed. For many, advances in antiretroviral and preventative drugs have stripped HIV of its aura of terror, making it something to be lived with, not a ticking clock to the end. With little posturing or overtly groundbreaking intent, French writer-director Gaël Morel unusually and sensitively bridges these eras of HIV/AIDS in his gentle romantic melodrama “To Live, To Die, To Live Again” — beginning in a distinctly Nineties register of mainstream queer cinema, before looking ahead to the 21st century.

“I stopped reading Spider-Man”: Even Adam Driver Hated Marvel Comics After Spider-Man Made a Deal With the Devil in One More Day
Image
Adam Driver has had a very interesting career in the industry starting with her supporting roles in the 2010s. After his on-screen debut in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, the actor continued improving himself with his supporting performances in Girls, Lincoln, Frances Ha, and Inside Lleywn Davis. The actor has now become a great leading man in dramas as well as blockbusters.

Adam Driver as Neil in Gayby | Wolfe Releasing

One of his most entertaining supporting roles was in the 2012 rom-com Gayby, where he played the role of Neil, the co-worker of Matthew Wilkas’s character. Neil is a comic book enthusiast, and he shares the sentiments of many Marvel fans who hated the infamous Spider-Man storyline One More Day and how it ruined many arcs up to that point.

Ghostlight Trailer: Sundance and SXSW Favorite From Saint Frances Team Arrives This June
Image
One of our early favorites of 2024, Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson’s Saint Frances follow-up Ghostlight premiered at Sundance and stopped by SXSW before coming to theaters next month from IFC Films. Ahead of the June 14 theatrical release, the first trailer has now arrived.

Here’s the synopsis: “When melancholic construction worker Dan finds himself drifting from his wife and daughter, he discovers community and purpose in a local theater’s production of Romeo and Juliet. As the drama onstage starts to mirror his own life, he and his family are forced to confront a personal loss.”

John Fink said in his review, “A masterfully crafted work with nearly no false notes, Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson’s Ghostlight is a tender drama bearing profound moments of humor and small triumphs. The smartly constructed script by O’Sullivan buries the lede, revealing new narrative information with each layer as...

Jessica Lange Blasts Corporate Hollywood: 'The Industry Now Is Not About the Creative Process'
Image
Jessica Lange criticizes Hollywood for prioritizing corporate profits over creativity, expressing dismay at the industry's shift. Lange praises foreign films for their artistic depth, highlighting the French legal drama Anatomy of a Fall as a favorite. Jessica Lange reflects on her career experiences with filmmakers like Sydney Pollack and Costa-Gavras, expressing concerns about industry changes.

Jessica Lange is not pleased with the Hollywood film industry's prioritization of profit over creative expression. During a recent interview with Vulture, the award-winning actress, whose acclaimed career spans back over four decades, slammed the industry's shift towards a "corporate world." She told the publication:

"Were living in a corporate world, and it certainly has rolled over into the film industry. So much of the industry now is not about the creative process. I mean, obviously this is not across the board, but there are many instances where I feel like the artistic impulse is...

How Had I Never Seen..."Blue Sky"?
Image
by Nick Taylor

If you had approached me on the street and asked if I was a Jessica Lange fan, I would have answered with an emphatic “duh!” But since you clicked on this link, I'm coming to you through your screen to tell you this informatioin. Having originally met Lange in high school via the actress-heavy ordeal that is American Horror Story, watching her communicate an actual character amidst so much lurid, proudly threadbare plotting was revelatory to witness. Lange served Ryan Murphy’s baroque and sentimental grotesqueries with leonine force. Even as subsequent seasons leaned too heavily on her characters as pillars to be toppled, and it became all too easy to project Lange’s distaste towards her surroundings into her vainglorious Supreme and dissatisfied ringleader, she gives a hell of a good show, finding ways to keep herself amused and visibly gratified (or maybe relieved) to play off her talented co-stars.

I Saw the TV Glow Soundtrack Arrives May 10; Listen to yeule’s Broken Social Scene Cover
Image
It’s hard to imagine we’ll get a better soundtrack this year than that for Jane Schoenbruen’s I Saw the TV Glow. Bringing together yeule, Frances Quinlan, Florist, King Woman, Caroline Polachek, Bartees Strange, Jay Som, The Weather Station, L’Rain, Drab Majesty, Sloppy Jane, and more, with Twin Peaks Roadhouse-esque musical performances in the movie, A24 has now announced a May 10 release for the soundtrack, a week after the film’s limited release and a week prior to its wide release. Timed with the announcement, they’ve now unveiled yeule’s cover of Broken Social Scene’s “Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl,” a key motif throughout the film.

I said in my review, “Utterly hypnotic in rhythm from its very first scenes, we hear a haunting motif that will return: Yeule’s cover of Broken Social Scene’s “Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl” as...

Kathryn Newton “Begged” Greta Gerwig for a Role in ‘Barbie’
Image
Kathryn Newton is about to hit the big screen once more in next week's Lisa Frankenstein. It's the kind of role the actor has been building towards after parts in films like Freaky, Lady Bird, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but there's one project she laments missing out on, and that's last year's biggest movie, Barbie, helmed by her Lady Bird director, Greta Gerwig. Speaking with Collider's Perri Nemiroff on an episode of Collider Ladies Night, Newton was asked about her time collaborating with Gerwig, and revealed that she had been obsessed with Gerwig for some time and asked in desperation for a part in Lady Bird after seeing Frances Ha.

Sundance 2024 Review: Ghostlight, William Shakespeare, Family Therapist
Image
Coming-of-age stories are practically a sub-genre of their own. Coming-of-middle-age stories, however, tend to be, if not few and far between, then far more rare. That’s likely due to studio perceptions of what does and doesn’t sell: young adult-oriented films, yes, non-adult-oriented films, no. Ghostlight, Kelly O'Sullivan and Alex Thompson’s follow-up to 2019’s Independent Spirit Award-nominated Saint Frances, functions, at least in part, as a coming-of-middle story for its remarkably unremarkable central character, Dan Mueller (Keith Kupferer), a man torn by loss, grief, and outdated notions of masculinity. When we first meet Dan, a construction worker in a brightly colored vest and hard hat, he’s directing traffic on a busy Chicago street. From his faraway look, however, it’s evident Dan has other, potentially life-altering things in...

Oscars: Will this year’s Best Actress lineup include any lone nominees?
Image
Of the 272 films that have earned lone acting Oscar nominations – meaning they were each recognized in one performance category and nowhere else – a whopping 101 (or 37.1%) accomplished the feat thanks to lead actresses. Whereas just 60 examples have occurred in the Best Actor category, the corresponding female one reached that benchmark in 1991 and is on track to double it less than two decades from now. Its triple digit total has now been intact for one full year, having directly resulted from the simultaneous nominations of Ana de Armas (“Blonde”) and Andrea Riseborough (“To Leslie”).

Although an Oscar bid was generally expected to follow de Armas’s 2023 BAFTA, Golden Globe, and SAG Award nominations, Riseborough very memorably came out of nowhere, having defied precedent by benefiting from an enthusiastic grassroots campaign. While most of the earlier lone Best Actress contenders belong in de Armas’s camp, many align with Riseborough in having pulled off major surprises.

Ghostlight review – charming tale of DIY Shakespeare theater

Sundance film festival: Triangle of Sadness star Dolly De Leon steals scenes in an endearing story of a real family wrapped up in a lo-fi staging of Romeo and Juliet

The film-makers Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson know their way around the peaks and valleys of the everyday. Their breakout 2019 feature Saint Frances, written and starring O’Sullivan, sublimated what could be big strokes of drama – abortion, postpartum depression, getting older, lost time – into the unremarkable (on the outside) relationship between an aimless 34-year-old and her six-year-old nannying charge. The daily humors and challenges in one woman’s life were not particularly dramatic or arresting, but rendered with such curiosity and acceptance as to feel radical.

Ghostlight, the duo’s new feature premiering at the Sundance film festival, traffics in a similar leveling of mundanity and insight. (It’s also written by O’Sullivan.) There’s an appealing naturalness to the project,...

10 Directors Who Would Be Perfect For Bond 26
Image
Greta Gerwig's perspective as a female director would bring much-needed change to the Bond franchise, addressing its treatment of women. Chloé Zhao's unique style blurs the line between documentary and feature, creating a thought-provoking atmosphere that would be a valuable addition to Bond. Danny Boyle's original vision for No Time To Die, set in Russia during the Cold War, would be a perfect fit for Bond 26 and introduce an interesting period piece twist.

The promise of the next film in the Bond franchise, Bond 26, has sparked many rumors about who will be involved in the creative team, particularly who will be the next director. Now that Christopher Nolan has confirmed he won’t be directing, the favorite and front-runner for the next Bond director has disappeared. Fortunately, there are plenty of other directors who are up to the challenge of taking on the franchise.

1 Reacher & Neagley Scene Drops A Massive Roscoe Insult In Season 2
Image
Warning: spoilers ahead for Reacher season 2, episodes 1-3.

Neagley's conversation with Reacher in season 2 snubs Roscoe and downplays their past romance, focusing instead on his attraction to Dixon. The omission of Roscoe from the conversation implies that their relationship was just a fling, disregarding the genuine feelings they had for each other in season 1. Season 2 prioritizes Reacher's connection with Dixon to make her seem like his one-true-love and minimize the importance of past romantic connections.

Roscoe isn't around in Reacher season 2, but if she was, she would be justified in feeling a little insulted after a heart-to-heart scene between Reacher and Neagley. Willa Fitzgerald's Roscoe was a main member of the Reacher cast in season 1, but due to the format of Lee Child's books and the nomadic nature of Alan Ritchson's protagonist, Reacher season 2 features an entirely new crop of supporting characters. Maria Sten's Frances Neagley is the only exception.
