Tuxedo Mask Has More in Common With the Anime's Most Infamous Villain Than Sailor Moon Fans Care to Admit
Image
Tuxedo Mask is Sailor Moon's endgame love interest. He's her debonair ally, her damsel-in-distress, her protector, and, eventually, her husband. Tuxedo Mask has a toxic romantic rival, the Black Moon Clan villain, Prince Demande. Where Tuxedo Mask is considered a classic and beloved anime love interest, Prince Demande is an infamous villain who sparks a lot of fan discourse.

Prince Demande obsesses over Sailor Moon, though she does not return his affections. Naoko Takeuchi blends popular romance tropes, like love triangles, with strong thematic character work. Tuxedo Mask and Prince Demande are character foils who explore the different sides of love and romance.

Tuxedo Mask Presents Himself As Sailor Moon's Ally Right Away The Masked Do-Gooder Feels Drawn to Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon meets Tuxedo Mask in her first terrifying battle with a Dark Kingdom youma. He arrives at Sailor Moon's side religiously, whenever there's evil afoot, and especially if she is frightened.

Something here just isn’t making sense. There’s a new report that suggests the Trump Hotel truck bomber might have actually been a dedicated Donald Trump fan. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Trump Hotel Truck Bomber Was A ‘Dedicated Trump Fan?’

The family member added that Livelsberger possessed the expertise to level an entire hotel if that had been his intention. He says nothing here makes sense.

Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some comments included, “It’s not as if Livelsberger worked at burger king. He was active...

While fans of each character will argue with some bias, there’s no doubt that each of them has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Image
The Fizzle Bomber's identity is an unexpected twist, revealing a complex connection between past and future selves in Predestination's ending. Ethan Hawke's captivating performance and the film's thematic exploration of fate make Predestination a standout sci-fi noir with time travel elements. The clever narrative structure and mind-bending plot twists keep audiences engaged, despite the film's box office reception.

The Predestination movie ending explained the Fizzle Bomber's identity, the mind-bending time-travel elements, and so much more. Directed by the German-Australian brothers Michael and Peter Spierig, this 2014 sci-fi action thriller is in a long lineage of time travel movies, and, like the best of them, it offers an original twist on a classic story device. In the film, Ethan Hawke stars as Agent Doe, a New York City detective, but not of the NYPD. Doe's jurisdiction concerns time, not city blocks, and his hunt for a terrorist known as...

The Motörhead camp launched The Löst Tapes series in 2021, restoring previously unreleased Motörhead concert recordings sourced from cassette tapes discovered in the archives of the late Lemmy Kilmister.

“[Cassettes] were a standard part of every tour … Motörhead were certainly no exception, recording show after show,” read the press release for the box set. “They contain gold, pure aural gold, and had for many years sat hundreds of feet underground in a small cave Lemmy owned, guarded by small, hairy centurions in Roman armor with small spears and bad attitudes. Only the magic password would release them, and thankfully, Lem had scribbled it...

Sonic's New Power Combo is His Most Destructive Ever
Image
Warning: contains spoilers for Sonic the Hedgehog #61!Undoubtedly, Sonic the Hedgehog's most powerful combo originally involved Amy Rose whacking a spin-dashing Sonic with her piko hammer at their target, the force of which would cause more damage than a normal spin dash. Called the Croquette Bomber, the first time Sonic and Amy employed this attack in Idw's universe was devastating, but a new combo just completely put the Croquette Bomber to shame.

After finally escaping from Dr. Eggman's Eggperial City, Sonic decides that the best course of action would be to put the entire city out of commission rather than allow Eggman to repair it for later use, which the hedgehog goes about by employing the help of Blaze the Cat, Amy Rose and Tails along with the series' best dynamic duo Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf. Together, Sonic is able to spin dash into and destroy the...

"Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots"
Mattel Films and Universal Pictures continue developing a live-action "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots" movie, based on the Mattel tabletop game, starring Vin Diesel, to be produced by Samantha Vincent ("The Fast and the Furious"):

The original two-player action toy designed by Marvin Glass and Associates was first manufactured by the Marx toy company in 1964.

The game features two dueling robot boxers, 'Red Rocker' and 'Blue Bomber', mechanically manipulated by the players. Each player takes control of one of the two robots both of which are standing on a platform molded in bright yellow high-impact polystyrene plastic, representing a boxing ring.

By pushing plunger buttons on a pair of joysticks at the base of the platform, players make their robot punch at their opponent's robot. If a robot's head is hit with sufficient force at a suitable angle, the head will make a sound overextending away from the shoulders,...

Motörhead Tease ‘No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith’ Reissue With Unreleased Live Version of ‘The Hammer’
Image
Motörhead have dropped a previously unreleased live version of “The Hammer,” which will appear on the upcoming 40th anniversary reissue of their first live album, No Sleep ’Til Hammersmith, out June 25th.

This version of “The Hammer” — which Motörhead tear through in all their ragged, raw and pulverizing glory — comes from their March 30th, 1981 concert concert at Newcastle City hall in Newcastle, England. While a handful of tracks from that show made it on to the original No Sleep ’Til Hammersmith, the new reissue marks the first time the concert...

Zack Snyder’s Original Vision for Justice League Faded Long Before His Exit
Image
As Zack Snyder’s Justice League prepares to showcase the director’s true vision of the 2017 film long-sought by a vocal segment of the fandom, behind-the-scenes details have emerged about the director’s exit from the theatrical film, providing interesting context to its upcoming debut on HBO Max. It seems that the official—devastatingly heartbreaking—explanation for Snyder’s departure from the film actually overshadowed some behind-the-scenes strife.

Picture this for a Justice League plotline: Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) falls in love with a recently widowed Lois Lane (Amy Adams). While the notion of a Batman/Lois Lane romance is not entirely unheard of in the annals of DC Comics, it might seem awkward for a film franchise that was still taking its first steps. Nevertheless, this was a major angle that Snyder intended to inject into the film, as revealed in a lengthy Vanity Fair exposé. Of course, the romance,...

‘Recorder: The Marion Stokes Project’ Film Review: Compelling Portrait of a Nation Through the Lens of an Unknown Citizen
“People always ask why,” Michael Metelits admits at the start of this meticulously composed, emotionally haunting documentary about his mother, Marion Stokes.

“Why did she do it?”

The “it” is simple: over the course of 30 years, Stokes recorded TV news around the clock on multiple channels, in multiple rooms, until she amassed an archive of 70,000 VHS tapes. But the “why”? That’s not so easy. There will be as many opinions as there were people who observed her life — and now, with “Recorder: The Marion Stokes Project,” that includes us.

Also Read: How Tegna Is Finding a Second Life for Old News Coverage With Podcasts Like 'Bomber'

In fact, it was mutability itself that first inspired Stokes. As a fiercely private black woman in politics in the mid-20th century, she brought perspectives that were rarely shared by anyone she met, let alone the white men with whom she most often worked.

Motorhead’s ‘1979’: How One Year Turned The Band Into Punk-Metal Gods
Jerry Calà and Bud Spencer in Capitaine Malabar dit La bombe (1982)
In 1979, Motörhead became the one band headbangers and punks could agree upon. The two records they put out that year, Overkill and Bomber, smacked of gritty, unpredictable, throbbing riffs and frontman Lemmy Kilmister sounded as if he had been huffing macadam and was coughing it up kernel by kernel. It was the best of metal, punk, and Capital-r Rock & Roll sledgehammered into half-hour wallops. The lyrics ranged from lubricious (“Damage Case”) to ludicrous (“Over the Top”), and yet Lemmy was also the king of metal maxims: “The only way to...

Jim Carrey in The Mask (1994)
Hear Motorhead Frontman Lemmy Kilmister’s Lost Country Duet ‘The Mask’
Jim Carrey in The Mask (1994)
Lemmy Kilmister started writing the outlaw country song “The Mask” in 1979 — the same year he put out the screaming, hard-rock albums Overkill and Bomber with his band Motörhead — but didn’t finish it until three decades later. Now, a decade after that – and a couple of years after his death – the song is finally seeing the light of day.

Kilmister completed the song in 2009 with country singer Lynda Kay, who plays herself on the Amazon Prime series Goliath. The recording was thought to be lost but was recently rediscovered. It...

‘Nxt: UK’ Review (Jan 30th 2019)
Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Nxt, but in Europe. Is that specific enough?

Match #1: “Bomber” Dave Mastiff def. “Primate” Jay Melrose The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

Jay Melrose opened the latest episode of Nxt UK by unleashing an animalistic effort against the still-undefeated monster Dave Mastiff. When he attempted to lift the “Bomber” onto his shoulder, however, his poor judgment proved to be his undoing. And after completely flattening the “Primate,” Mastiff finished him off with the Cannonball into the corner.

My Take: 2 out of 5 – This was done before you could even begin to miss it.

Match #2: Walter def. Jack Starz The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

After making his presence known at Nxt UK TakeOver: Blackpool, the intense, towering, old-world throwback competitor that is Walter debuted against the unfortunate Jack Starz.

Also, we have women fighting to become the first Nxt: UK Women’s Champion. Any-way, here comes Michael Shannon.

Match #1: Dakota Kai def. Nina Samuels – Nxt UK Women’s Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

The Nxt UK Women’s Championship Tournament kicked off in Birmingham, as Dakota Kai took on Nina Samuels. From the start, Samuels used her height and power to gain the advantage, as she worked to weaken Kai’s lower back in order to prevent Kai from getting on a roll with her signature kicks. Samuels’ assault included a series of submission maneuvers, a dropkick to Kai’s back and an excruciating tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
