One of the last films made and financed by the Childrens Film Foundation. Their films were often shown as B features preceding the main feature and as 'Saturday Morning Matinee' films.
Director John Krish was primarily a documentary maker and spent much of WWII working alongside the legendary documentary director Humphrey Jennings at the Crown Film Unit .

Filming took place during the schools summer holidays (July - August 1981). Shooting took approximately 30 days.
