Weak Direction...

Taxi Chor Directed By Sushil Vyas is An Action Crime Drama. Script is Well Written But Screenplay & Direction Are Weak. Editing is Worst. Action & Dialogues Are Just Fine.

Rajesh(Mithun Chakraborty) is A Crook, He Deals in Stealing Of Taxi & Selling. He Lives With His Mother & Elder Brother Inspector Brijesh(Brijesh Tripathi). At Other End Of The City Reetesh(Mithun Chakraborty) Lookalike Of Rajesh is A Singer. He & Ruby(Zarina Wahab) Are In Love.

Meanwhile Brijesh is Appointed To Solve The Case Where Rajesh is Prime Suspect. Rajesh Changes His Name To Rakesh And Works For Anthony(Madan Puri). Reetesh Gets Arrested And Has To Face The Law.

Acting By Mithun Is Very Natural. Brijesh Tripathi, Sulochana Latkar & Madan Puri Did Well. Zarina Wahab Has Only Few Scenes.

Music is Below Average By Bappi Lahiri. "Vaada Hai Kya" By Kishore Kumar is Better Track Than Others.

Mithun da man

Inspector Masti Mahajan is new in town, and he's quite different from his predecessors. His main mission is to nab the dreaded gang of Taxi Chors. Through the movie his dark and chequered past as a taxi driver is revealed and the painful circumstances that led Masti to switch professions- the theft of his beloved taxi, Chetak, and the rape of his sister, Doli. However, the call of duty conflicts with his easy-going nature. With nothing but bitter memories to awaken his inner cheetah, we watch as Mithunda's character evolves from easy-going inspector to self-possessed vigilante of justice, 'taxi chhod', who's not afraid to step outside the law to set things straight. His crusade is abruptly halted when he develops a love interest in Pinky a.k.a Shakalaka, the sister of Taxido, the mastermind of the Taxi Chors. Another spoke is thrown in his wheel when, through a beautifully choreographed fight scene, Masti discovers a strategically placed 'HORN OK PLEASE' tattoo indicative of the fact that Taxido is kin. Through the length of the movie, the viewer is taken through a roller-coaster of emotions and action all in Mithunda's inimitable flamboyant ishtyle. Bappi Lahari's soundtrack is a melodious addendum to this cinematic masterpiece.
