While the anime fandom has been busy hyping Solo Leveling and the like, one of shonen anime's most unique series is revving up its engines to prepare for its premiere. It's been 5 years since the final episode of Fire Force Season 2 aired and fans have been in a purgatory of their own as they waited for any information about the series' return. News finally broke about Fire Force Season 3 late in 2024, and recent confirmation regarding its release date and time were announced as well.
Fire Force follows its protagonist Shinra in a dystopian Tokyo, where humanity is plagued by a strange phenomenon known only as spontaneous human combustion. Ordinary people suddenly ignite and transform into inflamed monstrous beings called Infernals. In order to defend humanity from these fiery demons, specialized units known as the Special Fire Force fight them with their pyro-kinetic powers. With Fire Force Season 3 being the shonen anime's final season,...

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir has plenty of colorful heroes and villains. The anime wouldn't be a superhero series if each of these memorable characters didn't come with their own unique abilities. However, some characters may have powers that stand out as stronger than the rest. These abilities can easily create chaos or undo it by simply saying a word.
There are few attacks in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir that would directly harm people. Instead, the abilities are used to make people more powerful or to trap and capture. Others allow the wielder complete access to time itself. Plenty of powers stand out in this animated show, but these are the best the series offers.

The first trailer for Marvel Studios' "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" just dropped, kicking off Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The highly-anticipated trailer offers us a glimpse of the film's 1960s retro-futurist setting, in which Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) are seen navigating several superhero-related challenges. These four do-gooders are not just allies working together but something akin to a family, and each one of them has undergone a life-altering transformation after a certain incident that is alluded to for a few seconds. Before the trailer dives into the team's superhero shenanigans, however, we are treated to a sweet moment between Ben/The Thing and the humanoid experimental robot H.E.R.B.I.E, who are seen cooking dinner together at the Baxter Building.

Diablo 4 Season 7 has only been out for a little over a week, and would you believe it, we already have multiple game-breaking bugs. This time, there’s a new bug with Decay Augmentation, one of the new Witchcraft Powers that got introduced with the update. The specifics aren’t clear yet but the bug is letting players dish out trillions of damage.
New season, new bugs, same Blizzard. Image Credit: Blizzard Entertainment
And it’s no surprise that Spiritborn players are capitalizing on this first. Streamers and leaderboard climbers are already using this bug to clear Pit Tier 150. One Spiritborn player has even cleared it in two minutes, a time that is obviously due to the buff because the player clearly hides their damage numbers to hide the fact that it’s a bug exploit.
Diablo 4 can’t escape the bugs and glitches At this point, it’s a feature.

Fire Force is a fantastic shonen that is separated into two amazing seasons. However, the anime's third season will debut in April 2025. Although the trailers for this highly anticipated season mostly recap the series' previous seasons, there are several significant reveals. For instance, the trailer reaffirms a possible connection between Fire Force and Soul Eater. The trailer and a recent vision disclose that Adolla and the world of Soul Eater share the same moon.
Fire Force is one of the most popular recently released shonen. It is relatively popular despite some minor hangups. However, the third season's trailer teases that the Fire Force world might not be as unique as the audience once believed. The trailer reveals that the third season will be separated into multiple parts. Overall, Fire Force's Season 3 trailer has three major revelations that will drastically affect the anime.

World of Warcraft will finally be breaking the mold of yet another giant island continent in the next two expansions of the Worldsoul Saga. Blizzard will instead be turning its attention to not just progressing the overarching story of the three-part saga, but to revisiting influential zones and stories that have, thus far, been left in the past. WoW: Midnight will mark its first attempt at old zone modernization since Cataclysm, with players returning to Quel'Thalas, the home of the Horde's Blood Elves found in the northern section of the Eastern Kingdoms.
Quel'Thalas was introduced to WoW in its first expansion, The Burning Crusade. Its early introduction speaks to its lore prevalence, but also brought with it countless technical limitations that persist to this day. Even despite its papier-mâché backbone, Silvermoon City was crafted with a truly distinct and memorable aesthetic. A return to Quel'Thalas all but guarantees a reworking...

As Azeroth celebrates 20 years of World of Warcraft, it has been fun to reflect on the various evolutions that the game has experienced over the decades. The very landscape of the zones has been altered through the destruction caused by Deathwing in Cataclysm, and entire new islands have been revealed during eras such as Mists of Pandaria. Through a total of ten expansions in those 20 years, a whole history has been created, and it continues to evolve and grow even today.
The current expansion, WoW: The War Within, is the first part of an epic three-part arc of expansions that will bring together an incredible amount of lore from Azeroth's history. WoW: Midnight, the second portion of this saga, will be releasing in the summer of 2025, and is adding a new feature of player housing to the game. However, looking back at the past twenty years, a lot has already happened in this Mmorpg.

Plans for the next live-action Dungeons & Dragons adaptation have been on hold ever since Paramount made the mistake of canceling their D&d show, and there are plenty of theories about what the next steps for the property will be. While a lot of the theorizing is based in broad strokes, like wondering which of D&d's many settings the show will be set in, or how meta a show should be, there's another important consideration to be made who the villains should be.
Good villians define games of Dungeons & Dragons, so much so that some of the most iconic characters in D&d history are villains like the lich Vecna, who has tormented adventurers in multiple editions. Another undead villain of yore has gotten far less attention from D&d fans in recent years, but now is the perfect time for the Knight of the Black Rose to rise again.

Magic: The Gathering is among the world's most recognizable tabletop gaming brands, stretching its legacy across three decades. Yet, its excellent manga has only recently gotten localized in North America. Destroy All Humans. They Can't Be Regenerated. Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace introduced viewers to Yaddle, the first new member of Yoda's mysterious species to appear on-screen. Yoda made his debut in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back, and it's always been clear George Lucas intended to keep his origins a secret; Lucasfilm even went so far as to pulp the entire print run for a trading card showing Yoda-like beings worshiping an idol, likely at Lucas' insistence. But all that changed in 1999, when viewers were delighted to see a new member of Yoda's race on-screen.
Jedi Master Yaddle is a member of the Jedi Council, which immediately singled her out as one of the wisest of the Jedi. Although Yaddle did originally have a line of dialogue in the scene where Anakin Skywalker stood before the Council, this was unfortunately cut, and its nature has never been revealed. World of Warcraft: The War Within is the tenth expansion for the Mmorpg, but it's the first addition in well over a decade that reminds me why I fell in love with the game to begin with. After multiple expansions that were lackluster at best, I gave up on expecting that the magic of WoW's first years would be recaptured. Now, 16 years later, I finally found the expansion I was waiting for in The War Within.
The War Within revolves around Xal'atath and Alleria, who both have a connection to the Void. Alleria wants to resist the Void within her, but Xal'atath tries to tempt her to embrace it while she works to rebuild the Black Empire, which would remove the threat Alleria poses. Meanwhile, Xal'atath has the Dark Heart in her possession, and she's finally freed from the blade she was sealed in, so it's not surprising that she's...

Players can claim Epic-tier gear weekly in WoW's The War Within via Special Assignment quests. Special Assignments require completing timed world quests for loot, with limits on gear rewards. Seasoned Adventurer's Caches offer high-tier gear, making the new Special Assignments worthwhile.
World of Warcraft players can claim a stash of Epic-tier items every week in a new series of special quests introduced by The War Within. The War Within is the tenth expansion pack to be released for WoW, set in Khaz Algar, a subterranean supercontinent within Azeroth. Players will take on some of the toughest content in WoW yet, with a raised level cap and new Hero Talents to help them along.
But levels up to 80 and Hero Talents can only pull so much weight. In order to hold their own, players will need a solid stash of high-tier gear, especially if they have multiple alts across different classes and specializations.

Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Elden Ring has enough content and elements in the game to explore. In spite of the fact that the game was released almost two years ago, it still has a range of secrets waiting to be uncovered. Be it new caves, illusory walls, or secret bosses, players have plenty of things to find in FromSoftware’s masterpiece.
Elden Ring
Notably, some of the secrets cannot be found by playing the game alone. Seems like Elden Ring also has some hidden cut content buried deep within its files. These were recently dug out by a YouTuber and data miner.

The YouTuber ‘Sekiro Dubi’ had previously uncovered an alternate opening within Elden Ring’s files. This time, upon more digging, they have found some unused maps and assets in the game. Earlier, Dubi had discovered a lot of hidden assets stacked away in the game’s files.

As horror fans, we are constantly seeking out the new and the different. Because the genre is marked by so much sameness—sequels, franchises, remakes, copies of copies—it can sometimes be a challenge to find those horror films that truly carve out their own space. They don’t even have to be great movies, necessarily; many times, “different” is enough to make us happy.
With that in mind, here are 10 horror movies currently available on the terrific streaming service Shudder that are, if nothing else, different from almost anything else you’ll watch this October. They vary in quality from title to title, but what even the roughest among them lacks in technical polish, it more than makes up for in sheer maniac insanity. After you’ve cycled through all your favorites this October, why not add a little Wtf to your lineup?
