John Wick star, and still the most underrated action icon fighting the good fight, Scott Adkins will bring his particular set of skills to World War II later this year. Adkins, who is well-known to action fans thanks to his roles in the likes of the Undisputed franchise, Accident Man, Avengement, and One Shot, has finally seen his star rise thanks to his scene-stealing part as Killa Harkan, the head of the German Table, in John Wick: Chapter 4. Now, he’s fighting for his life as a prisoner of war.
New details have now emerged about the project, with the war action thriller changing its title from Death March to Prisoner of War. The movie was picked up for distribution by Well Go USA at the end of last year, with Prisoner of War having now been given a September release window (via Action-Flix).

Leading indie distributor Well Go USA has picked up North American rights to “Death March,” an upcoming WWII action film starring and conceived by action star Scott Adkins.
In Adkins’ story, scripted by Marc Clebanoff, a British airman washes ashore after being ejected from his plane and becomes a prisoner in a Japanese-run Pow camp. While waiting to join the infamous Bataan death march, the airman is tortured by the camp commander and is forced to fight for his life against an array of skilled Japanese warriors. Adkins portrays the airman. Veteran actor Peter Shinkoda plays the camp commander.
Under the direction of Louis Mandylor, the film has recently wrapped production in the Subic Bay and Bataan region of the Philippines. Release plans have not yet been finalized.
Additional cast members include: Michael Copon, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (“The Equalizer 2”), Michael Rene Walton (“Reptile”), Gary Cairns, Shane Kosugi (“Nine Deaths of the Ninja...

Quick Links Candy-Colored Combat Deliberate Swordplay in VR Pvp is Paramount Awakening The Blade Final Thoughts & Review Score
Broken Edge wants to be VR’s end-all be-all 1v1 sword-fighting game, and its one-of-a-kind approach to combat is a strong sell. This new ported version arrives to the PlayStation VR2 with an additional playable character, but otherwise seems comparable to its previous VR platforms, with some limited training gameplay that sets things up for the main event of its online Pvp. While its scant singleplayer content and limited bells and whistles may strain first impressions, Broken Edge primarily succeeds thanks to its limited comparable competition in the space and idiosyncratic gameplay, which is certainly not cut out for all-comers.
Developer Trebuchet have released a few different VR games ahead of Broken Edge, and their experience in this niche is apparent in their most recent release. The game plays very well on Sony's console,...

There is a spot in my heart reserved for American Ninja. I'm not sure exactly when I first saw the 1985 movie that dared to cast Michael Dudikoff as an American ninja, but it was sometime during the late '80s, amid what can only be described as my “ninja phase” that involved the consumption of every movie, book, television series, comic book and action figure with the word “ninja” in its title. Nine Deaths of the Ninja? Saw it. Revenge of the Ninja? Saw it in theaters. (Twice.) Ninja Magazine? Bought it, ripped out the pages, and pasted them all over my bedroom walls. Even so, I don't harbor any misconceptions about the quality of American Ninja nor its prospects for inclusion in the National Film Registry. It is -- to put it kindly...

Much like yesterday's "Clash of the Titans" trailer, this new "Ninja Assassin" clip has nothing to do with comics—though I'm sure I could find a connection if I really tried. What it does have, however, is a bunch of bad-ass ninja-on-ninja action. Along with Korean pop sensation Rain in a starring role, "Ninja assassin" also features one of the greatest ninja-movie actors of all time: Sho Kosugi ("Enter the Ninja," "Revenge of the Ninja," "Nine Deaths of the Ninja").
"Ninja Assassin" is directed by James McTeigue ("V For Vendetta"—see, there's a comic connection!) and hits theaters November 25.
