The fifth and final season of The Boys is expected to debut sometime next year, but the world of Supes will return in just a few weeks with Gen V season 2. Although the show will be telling its own story, The Boys creator Eric Kripke told Entertainment Weekly that the second season will “carry the torch” between the events of the penultimate and final seasons of the main series. “There’s a lot in Gen V that really helps set up the climax of this final confrontation in The Boys,” Kripke said. In fact, one popular fan theory, which has even been hinted at in the trailers, is that Marie...

Tristan Rogers, who starred as Robert Scorpio on “General Hospital,” has died of lung cancer. He was 79.
Roger’s longtime manager, Meryl Soodak, confirmed the actor died Friday morning to ABC 7 Eyewitness News, and said he had never been a smoker.
Soodak told the outlet that Rogers’ portrayal of Scorpio in the soap opera “meant everything to him.” She added, “He loved being Scorpio, and he created that role from nothing. He was supposed to work a day, and he ended up making it into something huge. He was just a genuinely loyal, kind human being, and he loved his family.”
Following the news of his death, “General Hospital” showrunner Frank Valentini shared a statement with Variety.

FandomWire’s Ransom Canyon review places the series as a hearty neo-Western tale of love, land, and legacy. The show debuted on Netflix on April 17, 2025, and quietly became a sleeper hit, even ranking in the platform’s Top 10 in over 75 countries within days of its premiere.
This high-stakes tale of power struggles, unresolved love stories, and multi-layered characters took fans by surprise by proving its potential in the Western TV landscape. While initially, the show was compared to Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, we believe it’s safe to say a separate fanbase has emerged, leading to Ransom Canyon’s renewal for Season 2. While a return to the dusty red cliffs has been confirmed, let’s get into when we can expect the show to hit our screens and what we can look forward to in Season 2.

Colombian animation is hitting a fresh stride, driven by a mix of social storytelling, ancestral mythologies and new talent, plus determined governmental support.. That energy is on show at the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (Bam) in its Animation strand, set to be unveiled over July 14-18.
Common are stories spotlighting Afro-Colombian identity and Indigenous worldviews, like “Berenice y los Moravitas,” where an eight-year-old girl discovers her divine warrior heritage and “Verde,” a rotoscoped drama set in Colombia’s mangrove villages caught between violence and tradition.
Other projects tackle subjects from gender fluidity in “Negrites” to eco-activism in anarchic comedy “Sacha.” There also seem to be many with cats — both wild and domestic.
A strong presence at international co-production forums has been key to this momentum. Several titles have already paraded through top industry platforms such as Annecy’s MIFA, the Quirino Co-Pro Forum and Ventana Sur’s Animation! section, positioning Colombian...

Mihal Brezis and Oded Binnun’s fearlessly original and smart Dead Language (a highlight in the Viewpoints programme of the 24th edition of the Tribeca Festival), evolving out of their Oscar-nominated short, Aya, begins in the arrival area of an airport, where Aya, instead of picking up her husband Aviad pretends to be the driver for the unwitting Mr. Esben (Ulrich Thompsen of Thomas Vinterberg’s Festen), who is in Jerusalem on a business trip as a lighting designer.

None of the cops on Chicago Pd are millionaires. They are working people, and they risk their lives on a regular basis to make sure that Windy City civilians are safe with little to show for it. Cash is tight for Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati), in particular, which is why the events of the episode "Black Ice" were such a nice change of pace.
Ruzek and Burgess are not only struggling to plan their upcoming wedding, but to provide for their daughter and Ruzek's father as well. It's not easy, and the pressure of these external circumstances can be felt whenever they are onscreen. Fortunately, Ruzek's father, Bob (Jack Coleman), made the situation a bit easier.

Mangaka Riyoko Ikeda’s seminal creation, The Rose of Versailles, a historical romance set in the backdrop of the last decades of the French monarchy, will forever be regarded as a game-changer in the shoujo subgenre, especially even back in the 70s, how the series was able to break the shackles of gender conformity to address feminist perspective, freedom of choice through the ideals that inspired revolution. From having a longstanding cultural impact on generations of otakus to introducing one of the most remarkable female characters in manga literature, The Rose of Versailles has proved to be a timeless work of fiction that never undercuts the dread of reality. However, after going through Netflix’s latest anime movie adaptation of 14 volumes of the manga series, I think the most ardent fans will agree that the choice of medium was not suitable in the least. The narrative feels quite rushed, and characters,...

Jason Beghe is the face of Chicago Pd. Other characters have been crucial to the show's lasting appeal, but it's impossible to conceive of the show without Beghe's grizzled performance as Hank Voight. He's also been on hand for most of Chicago Pd's most notable episodes.
It's always fun to compare one's personal favorite episodes to the ones chosen by the actors who appear in them. The selections they make are typically unexpected, and this was very much the case when Beghe was asked to pinpoint the episode that most stood out to him over the last 12 seasons. We figured he'd pick a Voight heavy story, but he did the complete opposite.

The Ugly Stepsister is a retelling of the classic Cinderella tale with a horror twist. Directed by Emilie Blichfeldt and starring Lea Myren, Thea Sofie Loch Næss, Ane Dahl Torp, and Flo Fagerli, this Norwegian film uses the fairy tale as a vehicle to examine themes of self-esteem, harmful beauty standards, and girlhood. The 2025 release also joins the ranks of recent body horror pictures like The Substance and Grafted.
The film follows Elvira (Lea Myren) and Alma (Flo Fagerli) as their mother, Rebekka (Ane Dahl Torp), tries to secure a good life for her family by way of Agnes/Cinderella’s (Thea Sofie Loch Næss) father. The eldest stepsister, Elvira, is not only infatuated with the Prince, but is then invited to the ball where he will choose his wife. Under her mothers guidance, she undergoes a rigorous beautification process to compete against the other girls, and especially Agnes, for the Prince’s hand.

Chicago Pd has alternated, sometimes inconsistently, between its veteran characters and its new characters in season 12. There are pros and cons to both sides, but the last two episodes have done a surprisingly effective job at getting us reinvested in junior officers Kiana Cook (Toya Turner) and Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar).
It's been a bit since they have gotten a chance to take center stage, and delve into their complicated relationship. Cook and Torres worked closely in the episode "Name Image Likeness," and the actress who plays the former, Toya Turner spoke with TV Line about the future of their partnership within the Iu. To the surprise of absolutely no one, it's going to be complicated.

Chicago Pd has been occasionally frustrating in season 12. The show has introduced fascinating character arcs for several of its veteran presences, but the emphasis on case of the week stories has led to some of these arcs being pushed on to the back burner. There are times where the underlying feelings of the Iu members are not even referenced.
We do, somewhat, understand. There's been some excellent standalone stories in season 12, as well as a crossover event and an ongoing conflict with Chief Deputy Charlie Reid (Shawn Hatosy). We are excited to what happens with the villain, but we're relieved to have confirmation that the season 12 finale will place the emphasis on character over story.

Elon Musk has taken a lot of heat for his business and political decisions (from buying Twitter to supporting President Donald Trump to performing a Nazi-like salute at the inauguration), but his love life has also led to much interest.
Before he was cozying up to Trump, Elon was cozying up to alternative singer Grimes. The former couple have three children, and their relationship has had quite a few twists and turns, but they seem to be done for good.
Elon’s three marriages and other relationships have made headlines. Musk also has a large brood of children, and he’s been open about why he’s decided to father many kids.

Venita Aspen exists well outside the realm of One Chicago. She's risen to fame as a cast member on the reality series Southern Comfort, but she's a huge fan of the procedural franchise. Well, at least, a huge fan of one of the stars. Aspen recently went on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and revealed she has a crush on one of Chicago Pd's main actors.
"There is a man that is on NBC that I have my eye on," Aspen asserted. "He’s a Chicago Pd star." This obviously drew the interest of the crowd, and the reality provided some additional information. “I just found him a couple of weeks ago and I think he’s handsome," she added. "I slid in his DMs and I said, 'It’s so funny we work for the same network but we never ran into each other.'"

A lot has changed in 12 seasons. Chicago Pd has seen a lot of faces come and go, and the ones that have stuck around have become all the stronger for it. Something we didn't think about too much in seasons prior, however, was the rank of most Iu members.
Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) is a lieutenant, which makes sense given his seniority and the fact that he runs the Iu. Then Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) got promoted to detective, making her the only Iu member who is not merely an officer. Which make us sit back, reconsider, and realize that there are some other Pd members who are primed for a promotion in the near future.

We have been critical of Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) in the past. Well, we've been critical of the way Chicago Pd writers have used Torres. The character and the actor who plays him has a lot of potential, but it feels like the writers are still unsure of how to implement him in the show.
Torres will finally become a crucial player during the final leg of season 12, but it won't be for the reasons one might expect. The officer has been striving to prove himself a worthy member of the Iu, and has tried his hardest to move past his professional mistakes. Well, that is not going to happen. Instead, Torres will become more important because of his mistakes.

Chicago Pd takes a different approach to ensemble storytelling than its One Chicago peers. Instead of spreading the wealth, and weaving in two-three different stories an episode, Pd prefers to narrow the focus to a single character and develop them over the course of an hour.
It's obviously proven effective. The show is in its 12th season, and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. It will, however, take a turn that we didn't see coming in the episode "Greater Good." Instead of revolving around one of the Iu members, the episode will delve into the backstory of Pd's antagonist, Chief Deputy Charlie Reid.

Hank Voight is the face of Chicago Pd. He may not always be the focus, but it's impossible to conceive of the show without him. One could argue he's the One Chicago character who is most important to his show. And he's undergoing some changes in season 12.

Chicago Pd has been putting Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) through the absolute ringer lately. The character has had to contend with his father's Alzheimer's diagnosis, as well as a harrowing case involving a kidnapped girl he has a fatherly connection with.
It's no wonder Ruzek has been on edge. Unfortunately, Pd's decision to focus on Ruzek's increasingly tense situation has come at the expense of the happy stuff around the corner. Namely, Ruzek getting married to Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati). The show has been oddly non-referential when it comes to the wedding, despite it being set up as the season 12 finale.

The following contains major spoilers from Chicago Pd Season 12, Episode 14, "Marie," which debuted Wednesday, Feb. 26 on NBC.
Chicago Pd Season 12, Episode 14, "Marie" is the expected follow-up to Episode 10, "Zoe." That hour ended with unanswered questions about who Zoe was and even more importantly, where serial killer Thomas Cronin had run off to. Episode 14's title "Marie" gives away the answer to the first question, but figuring out the second is what drives the Adam Ruzek-heavy installment -- which ends pretty much the way that viewers will have expected it to.
"Marie" picks up with Ruzek and the rest of the Intelligence Unit finally getting a lead on where Cronin might be. When he gets into Zoe's foster home and abducts her, it's a race against time to...

They are a three hour block in which we get dropped into the lives of our favorite characters, and are forced to watch as they put their lives on the line to help save others. It's stressful, it's exciting, and it's invigorating to talk about. We're here to do the third one.
We have recaps of individual episodes if you prefer to delve into your favorite title, but we thought it would be fun to zoom out and look at Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd as a whole, since they are. We decided to cherry pick three winners and three losers from across the franchise, and what we hope to see moving forward.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 14 “Marie.”] Chicago P.D. delivers an intense conclusion to the two-parter that started in “Zoe” with the latest episode. Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) is very much like Intelligence’s leader, Voight (Jason Beghe), in his pursuit of the serial killer who once again kidnapped a young girl, known as Zoe (Anabelle Toomy). Cronin (Eric Sheffer Stevens) manages to find Zoe in foster care and kills the woman who had been watching over her before taking off with her. But by the time the unit traces their steps, he’s bleeding out and Zoe isn’t with him. Ruzek has no problem hurting him more to try to get him to give up Zoe’s location. In fact, it takes Voight yelling at him that it’s “enough!” and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) pushing him back for him to stop. That’s something we’re used to seeing from Voight,...

Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) has been one of the sneaky MVPs of Chicago Pd season 12. The character may not evoke the instant intrigue that a Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) or even a Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) does, but he has been front and center in some of the season's biggest stories.
He proved his capableness and coolness under pressure during the One Chicago crossover, and advised Kevin Atwater (Laroyce Hawkins) through some pretty murky waters on the recent episode "Street Jesus." Well, Ruzek is center stage once again in the episode "Marie," which will bring back two major players in his life.
What happened to Zoe on Chicago Pd?
The first is Zoe (Annabelle Toomey), a little girl that Ruzek assisted in the eponymous season 12 episode. Ruzek is obviously a father himself, and his paternal instinct really kicked when it came time to aid Zoe. That said, the arc...

Chicago P.D.Season 12, Episode 10, "Zoe," introduced Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) to a young girl whose father is a serial killer. The case reminded him of his daughter Makyla, given how close Zoe (Annabelle Toomy) and Mak were in age, and even when everything wasn't panning out, he wanted to keep working it. The episode left the case open to be revisited in a later episode. John Flueger said the second part "will keep breaking your heart," and a sneak peek of Episode 14, "Marie," follows through on this promise. Ruzek's father, Disco Bob (Jack Coleman), also visited in the same episode, and it was revealed that he had Alzheimer's. According to the logline below, Ruzek deals with emotional arcs in his personal and professional lives as his father's Alzheimer's worsens. NBC released a preview of the February 26 episode, previewing the next part of Zoe's story.

Exclusive: Egyptian and American filmmaker Sam Abbas has unveiled upcoming picture Europe’s New Faces capturing the migrant experience, from crossing the Mediterranean Sea out of Libya to settling in Paris-based squats.
The observational work is the fruit of three years of filming migrant communities living illegally in abandoned buildings across Paris, as well as on the work of Médecins Sans Frontières (Msf) rescue ship Geo Barents, which operated across the Mediterranean from June 2021 until late 2024, saving 12,675 people in 190 operations.

Zendaya is nothing like Rue Bennett in her life. She never lit a smoke in her life and completely avoided any alcoholic beverages as part of her vegetarian diet. There has been no shortage of cinematic responses to the Covid-19 pandemic on screens both big and small. We’ve had found footage horrors (Host), trippy folk thrillers (In The Earth), prestige TV dramas (Help), quarantine shot (anti-)romances (Malcolm & Marie), existential stand-up/musicals (Bo Burnham’s Inside), and even an allegorical arthouse response to self-isolation from Wes Anderson (Asteroid City). But of all the pieces of art to have emerged from lockdown, we can say with confidence that Sam Crane and Pinny Grylls’ Grand Theft Hamlet — a surreal documentary in which two out of work actors mount a production of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy in the ultraviolent virtual world of Grand Theft Auto Online — is easily the funniest. It also, more unexpectedly, may be one of the most cathartic, too.

John David Washington discussed what it felt like to be cast as the lead character in Christopher Nolan's 2020 movie Tenet. Tenet is one of the most mind-bending Christopher Nolan movies, in which Washington plays the Protagonist, a secret agent who must bend the laws of nature and time to prevent World War III. In addition to Washington, the cast of Tenet includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, and Michael Caine.
Appearing on the Little Gold Men podcast, Washington claimed that hearing he was cast in Tenet felt like getting drafted first overall in the NFL. Tenet was one of Washington's first leading roles in a major movie, and he was initially shocked he got the part. He further claims that he thought there was no chance Nolan was interested in him for Tenet when they first met. Read Washington's full comments below:

Eva Longoria revealed she no longer calls Los Angeles — or the United States — her home, now splitting her time largely between Spain and Mexico. Especially in the wake of Donald Trump’s election win against Kamala Harris, the actress said she is no longer eager to pass her days in a “dystopian” country.

For the last 55 years or so, you’ve had a friend in Randy Newman, if you have a thing for songs that offer eviscerating, uncompromising, even devastating dissections of the human condition and the American experiment. Or, sure, kids’ tunes, or laugh-out-loud funny ones, or memorable film-score cues — yes, all of those things, too. But the case for Newman as popular music’s greatest social commentators is the one being pressed most of all by critic-turned-biographer Robert Hilburn in his new book, “A Few Words in Defense of Our Country: The Biography of Randy Newman.”

Heisenberg has returned with a special message for anyone thinking about littering. Bryan Cranston has appeared in a public service ad campaign as his Breaking Bad character to discourage people from littering in the state of New Mexico.
Per the NY Post, the new ads featuring Cranston were first unveiled in an arthouse movie theater in Santa Fe. The PSA is called "Breaking Bad Habits," and it features Cranston's Walter White rolling a barrel through the New Mexico desert, similar to how he'd done so in a memorable Breaking Bad scene. In the PSA, however, Walter is revealed to be collecting trash from the ground left behind by careless litterbugs. Squashing a paper cup from Los Polos Hermanos, the drug kingpin warns, "Keep litter out of my territory." The ad spot, shared online by New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, can be watched below.
