"The 'town of crazies' were actually crazy people from a local insane asylum in Yugoslavia," Kurt Thomas said. "We provided them with alcohol and a buffet for their time!" The people Thomas kicked were stuntmen, however.

Tetchie Agbayani was a former Playboy model.

Richard Norton was also the film's stunt coordinator and choreographer.

The word "gymkata" which refers to Kurt Thomas' fighting style is never actually mentioned in the film.
