Watch The Blue Man Group And Slo Mo Guys Do Crazy Stuff With Bowling Balls
Bowling balls are typically used for bowling, but as you'll learn today, they can be used for a lot more. Mainly just destroying stuff that only looks cool if you have a camera that captures incredibly fast frame rates. Every time I watch a Slo-Mo guys video I always imagine how much more boring it is to actually watch the experiment. Like, half of this stuff happens within a second at the most, so everyone here is just standing around watching and you really don't see how cool it is until you see the replay. I've rambled on too long, see their latest video, which features The Blue Man Group, below. ...

Peter Capaldi announces he is leaving Doctor Who – but here are five reasons to watch Series Ten
Author: Reuben Roper

Doctor Who fans woke up to the news this morning that Peter Capaldi, the show’s twelfth incarnation of The Doctor, is leaving the show. His departure is not entirely unexpected, as it coincides with the exit of the showrunner Steven Moffat, who has been with the show since Matt Smith took over the role.

It is bittersweet ending for Capaldi’s Doctor, who had to follow the double act of the aforementioned Smith and David Tennant. The show struggled to find its feet with Capaldi initially, however under Capaldi’s reign the show has seen some of its finest hours. We loved his entanglements with Missy, and his one man show Heaven Sent from Series Nine is one of the best episodes of the show’s entire run.

A beginner’s guide to Chinese black magic movies
Craig Lines Jul 6, 2016

From The Boxer's Omen to the genuine unpleasantness of Calamity Of Snakes, we take a look at a stomach-churning subgenre of cinema...

In 1975, Ho Meng Hua’s Black Magic cast its spell over Chinese audiences and summoned up a subgenre that produced some of the most extreme, esoteric and stomach-churning horror films of all time. Between the late 70s and early 80s, Chinese black magic movies were pumped out en masse, feeding audiences their fill of evil sorcery and twisted moralizing. The formula usually featured some poor schmuck enlisting a dark wizard to help them achieve something (more often than not, something sexual) and finding that the forces they’ve unleashed are more than they can handle. Cue the flamboyant special effects and abundant nudity.

These films took inspiration from authentic folk magic for their various spells and rituals which, sadly, means they frequently feature real animal slaughter.

Top 10 Most Heroic Villains
Typically, this is where you would find an intro. You’re reading this because you want something to explain what this article is about. Look up at the title. Now look down. Fred Meyers is a member of the Sinister Six, as well as holder of one of the dorkiest costumes ever. The blue man with the boomerang on his head was originally a major league pitcher who got drummed out for taking bribes. While he’s never really shown...

'Arrested Development': Tony Hale talks Season 4, Liza Minnelli and movie plans
Seven years might have passed between the end of "Arrested Development" Season 3 and the beginning of Season 4, but don't expect any of the show's central characters to have changed dramatically. If Tony Hale is to be believed, his character Buster Bluth has actually regressed in terms of his maturity.

"Buster has not matured. I think the first series he was probably around a 7-year-old maturity. I'd say now he's probably at a 5," Hale tells Zap2it in a recent interview. "He's gone back. Well, he's just gotten worse and worse. I think there's just probably years and years of isolation. I mean, going to the pharmacy's a big day for him, so if he can get out of the house, that's a big day."

He adds, "He's still got his juice addiction. I think he might have some support groups for his juice addiction that we don't know about. But that's his vice,...

Top 11 TV and Movie Horror Theme Songs
Nothing puts you in the mood for your favorite movie or television show better than a great theme song. And nobody, and we mean nobody, does theme songs like the horror genre does. We've got 11 of the best here to prove that point.

"The Sopranos" had a great intro with "Woke Up This Morning" by Alabama 3, and there have been some pretty great cartoon theme songs like "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons". Hell, even the old "Batman" theme song was a damn catchy tune, but honestly, horror dominates memorable theme songs. Just take a look at the list below, and we didn't even include some great ones like "Pet Sematary" by The Ramones, Dokken's "Dream Warriors" (written for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors) or "He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask)" by Alice Cooper, written for Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. (Consider those the honorable mentions!

'Arrested Development' Rewatch: Season 2, episode 5 - 'Sad Sack'
Welcome to the "Arrested Development" Rewatch. Leading up to the release of Season 4, Zap2it will be taking a look back at the 53 episodes that made the show one of our most beloved TV comedies. We continue with episode 5 of Season 2, "Sad Sack," which first aired Dec. 12, 2004. Watch the first three seasons of "Arrested Development" on Netflix.

[Note: This episode landed "Arrested Development" the enviable honor of being named the "Worst TV Show of the Week" by the always humorless Parents Television Council. Among the PTC's complaints: "one or two plotlines cross the line by involving the institutions of marriage and family in such a negative way that it becomes offensive to adult viewers and potentially damaging to children who see it." Read on to see why!]

The Apprentice (2004)
'Celebrity Apprentice': And the fired celebrities are...
The Apprentice (2004)
Because there is no such thing as too much Celebrity Apprentice, NBC treated (if that’s the right word) us to a three hour episode this evening of Donald Trump firing people. That’s right — people, as in more than one. That’s because tonight’s extravaganza was actually two episodes condensed into one. (So, yes, in essence I am complaining that it should have actually been a four hour episode, but I realize I may be alone in that sentiment.) My full recap will be up at 2am (Update: Click to read Dalton’s full Celebrity Apprentice recap) , but...

Just Another Day In Gatlin.... Our Interview with Rich Kleinberg
Malachai and Isaac. Those names always "crop" up anytime someone mentions Children of the Corn. But there was another character as equally essential to the story who's "live" footage so to say, was trimmed from the final theatrical version. Once having almost stopped the entity know only as He Who Walks Behind The Rows, Officer Hodgekiss, a.k.a. The Blue Man, met an untimely demise that was to serve as an example for anyone who defied the ruling of Isaac. But what exactly happened to The Blue Man? As it goes in editing, it seems that footage involving a revealing scene was cut but promotional stills were used for various advertising materials and media outlets. Recently, we had the opportunity to talk with Rich Kleinberg who played the very much alive version (for a while anyways) of the iconic blue figure to discuss train stations, body doubles and petitions.

A Chinese Ghost Story (2011) Movie Review
Ching Siu Tung and Tsui Hark’s 1987 immortal classic of Hong Kong cinema “A Chinese Ghost Story” returns to screens in a new version with “Ip Man” series director Wilson Yip at the helm. Wisely, although a remake, the film makes an effort to do something a little different with the original Liaozhai source material, staying true to its themes whilst taking a different approach to its characters and their relationships. Unsurprisingly, the highly anticipated film was a major blockbuster release, boasting extensive special effects work from a top Korean team, and an all star cast headed by popular leading man Louis Koo (“Don’t go Breaking my Heart”), Liu Yifei, (“The Forbidden Kingdom”) and Yu Shaoqun, (“Shaolin”), with support from veteran Kara Hui (who featured in many Shaw Brothers hits such as “Legendary Weapons of China”), Fan Siu Wong (“Ip Man”), and, most excitingly, old school Hong Kong genre...

Blue Man movie in 3D
I honestly don't know what to make of this. The Blue Man Group are absolute geniuses when it come to live performance, but the idea of them making a fiction feature is a little weird. Even weirder is the distribution deal they got. The group's three original founders signed on to have their live-action comedy Blue Man Group: Mind Blast up on both standard theaters and IMAX 3D. That's fine - everybody does it and their act is probably even crazier on...

'Night Of The Living Dead' And The Blue Man Group Signal Further Growth In The 3-D Revolution
Between the global box office success of "The Final Destination 3-D" and the film festival kudos for Joe Dante's "The Hole," the new wave of 3-D cinema has been validated in a way that elevates the format above being a mere trend. And everyday we're hearing about more film projects being developed for 3-D screens.

Today's two entries involve popular franchises, though their respective films will be completely different. One is an updated re-imagining of George Romero's zombie classic "Night of the Living Dead," which director Simon West ("Con Air") will produce as a CG-dependent flick directed by newbie filmmaker Zebediah De Soto. The other is the first feature film based on the stage show Blue Man Group, which is being distributed by National Geographic Entertainment.

The former project has a new title, "Night of the Living Dead: Origins," and it will reportedly involve more character development than Romero's original.
