9-1-1: Lone Star, now airing its fifth and final season, follows the firefighters and paramedics at Station 126 in Austin, Texas. Led by Captain Owen Strand (Rob Lowe), the team at the 126 came from all over the country to help reopen the firehouse after a terrible accident at a fertilizer plant killed all but one of the firefighters at the 126. Since their arrival in early 2020, the team has become like a family, supporting each other through illness, childbirth, marriage, divorce, death, and some of life's most joyful experiences.
As the show moves through its final season, fans are getting a look at what the future of their favorite characters might look like. Judd Ryder (Jim Parrack) is trying to figure out what he'll do for work now that he's no longer a firefighter, Carlos Reyes (Rafael L. Discovery made headlines yesterday with its launch plans for its global streaming service Discovery+.

Holme told Deadline that its content strategy is essentially three-fold: serving Discovery “superfans” more of the shows they love such as spin-offs of Say Yes To The Dress, Gold Rush and Dr. Pimple Popper, pushing into more premium areas of content with docs such as P.S., Burn This Letter Please and younger skewing shows and “genre mash-ups” to appeal to cord cutters such as baking competition Cakealikes.

How I Met Your Mother, "The End of the Aisle" finally gets around to Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin’s (Cobie Smulders) actual wedding at the Farhampton hotel.
How I Met Your Mother Recap
After older, wiser Ted (Bob Saget) provides a voiceover about wedding day panics, as Robin tells present-day Ted (Josh Radnor) that she can’t go through with the wedding with 32 minutes until it’s time for her to walk down the aisle. Refusing to go through with “another runaway bride situation,” Ted insists that she calm down. She tells him that she can’t shake the feeling that not finding the locket is a bad sign – that she wants to be with someone who will always come through for her.

Actor who played Bert Lynch in BBC police drama Z-Cars and appeared in shows ranging from Doctor Who to Nightingales
The actor James Ellis (also known as Jimmy), who has died aged 82, was the longest-serving original cast member of the hugely popular BBC television series Z-Cars. When Z-Cars began in 1962, it represented a major change in the way the police were characterised in fiction. The BBC police series Dixon of Dock Green had been running for seven years, with Jack Warner playing the understanding, avuncular police constable Dixon. Z-Cars, by contrast, had the actors Stratford Johns and Frank Windsor making cynical remarks about the death of a murdered police colleague whose funeral they were attending, and Ellis, as Constable Bert Lynch, hearing from a colleague how he beats up his wife, without doing anything about it. West Coasters, you might wanna press “pause” on this recap for a few hours. The rest of you, let’s rock ’n’ scroll!
“Seed” was the title of Sunday’s third season premiere of The Walking Dead, but if you ask me (and no one ever does), “Bleed” would’ve be more fitting! Approximately every other second, an overripe zombie head was getting either split open, poked through, shot up or cut off — and always with the kind of squishy special effects that make ya glad this show isn’t on at suppertime! The monster-smashing was worth it to Rick and Co.

'Cheeky cockney' character actor who graced British screens for more than 60 years
While working on the classic Ealing comedy Hue and Cry in 1947, the actor Harry Fowler, who has died aged 85, was given sage advice by one of his co-stars, Jack Warner: "Never turn anything down … stars come and go but as a character actor, you'll work until you're 90."
Fowler took the suggestion and proved its near veracity. Between his 1942 debut as Ern in Those Kids from Town until television appearances more than 60 years later, he notched up scores of feature films and innumerable TV shows, including three years as Corporal "Flogger" Hoskins in The Army Game.
He never attained star status but created a gallery of sparky characters, including minor villains, servicemen, reporters and tradesmen enriched by an ever-present cheeky smile and an authentic cockney accent. He was Smudge or Smiley, Nipper or Knocker, Bert or 'Orace, as...

Director, John Landis doesn't commit himself to one specific genre, but on occasion, he delves into horror. More recently on the horror front, he has directed an episode of 'Fear Itself' titled 'In Sickness and in Health;' and two episodes of 'Masters of Horror' titled 'Family' and 'Deer Woman.' His older horror films include 'Innocent Blood,' a segment in 'Twilight Zone: The Movie,' and 'An American Werewolf in London.' The director recently spoke with Bloody Disgusting, who asked him if he had anything going on horror-wise. He told them: "You know what? Actually, I'm writing one with Alexandre Gavras and we're shooting it within the next two years in Paris. Yeah, a little monster movie. It has no title [yet]...You're the first people to know about it." He wouldn't get too detailed otherwise, but he did say: "It's interesting...my...

The royal wedding is underway. Soon after Kate Middleton arrived at Westminster Abbey, she was escorted down the aisle by her father and the ceremony began. It went without a hitch although there was a moment when Prince William seems to have difficulty in slipping the ring onto her finger since it looked to be a very tight fit.
Daily Mail reported that when Kate first joined William at the altar, the 28-year-old prince whispered, "You look beautiful," to his radiant bride. Moments later, they exchanged their vows. "I, William Arthur Philip Louis, take thee, Catherine Elizabeth, to my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse," he vowed. "For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish, till death us do part."
In his sermon, Bishop of London Richard Chartres told the newlywed, "William and Catherine, you...
