Trivia

Star Wars: Droïdes - Les Aventures de R2-D2 & C-3PO

Edit
The series main theme entitled "In Trouble Again" was written and performed by Stewart Copeland who was a member of The Police.
The Roonstone hunted by Mungo Baobob was later referenced in the liner notes written by Ben Burtt for the soundtrack album of the 1996 Star Wars multimedia project "Shadows of the Empire".
The series has had a troubled life on home video with every episode except "Coby and the Starhunters" seeing release on VHS in the early 1990's. In 1997 and 2004, two 4 episode arcs were edited together as mini movies released under the titles "The Pirate and the Prince" and "Treasure of the Hidden Planet". It would not be until 2021 that all episodes were available on the Disney+ streaming service.
It has been estimated that each hour-long pair of Droids and Ewoks episodes cost between $500,000 and $600,000 to produce. This made them one of the most expensive animated series of the 1980s.
During this short lived series, four separate owners of the droids are chronicled.
