February 25th Blu-ray & DVD Releases Include Knives Out, Color Out Of Space, Spookies, Pet Sematary Two Collector’s Edition
Rian Johnson
February’s home media releases are ending in a big way, with 20 different horror and sci-fi titles making their way onto various formats this week. Leading the pack this Tuesday are Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, which comes home on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD, as well as Richard Stanley’s Color Out of Space, which will be available on both Blu and DVD. Scream Factory is showing Mary Lambert’s Pet Sematary Two some love this week with their Collector’s Edition release, and for those of you into wacky, obscure cult classics, you’ll definitely want to pick up Vinegar Syndrome’s Blu-ray for Spookies.

Arrow Video is keeping busy with their Special Edition releases of Deadly Manor and the One Missed Call trilogy, and Severin Films has given James Glickenhaus’ The Astrologer an HD overhaul this week, too.

Other notable releases for February 25th include The Candy Snatchers,...

First Films Announced for the 8th Annual B-Movie Celebration
The 8th annual B-Movie Celebration is traveling at us faster than a speeding monkey on a rocketship destined for the vast landscape of Mars, and we have the first details on what films and more will be waiting for you should you be one of the lucky ones to attend!

From the Press Release

1984 was not all Big Brother, Big Hair & Big Pants — it was also a great year for movies. This year, the annual The B Movie Celebration wants the “B” movies of 1984 to take a bow.

Many have made the claim that 1984 represented the paragon of both film-going and film-making. With films like Repo Man, The Toxic Avenger, Night of the Comet, The Last Starfighter and Ice Pirates, 1984 turned out to be a cinematic buffet; and the festival will be screening some of the best films from that glorious year, featuring live commentary from the people who made them.

LLoyd Kaufman lets loose Rita Jenrette in Zombie Island Massacre (1984)
Wow. I know how much I hate Troma movies but I thought Zombie Island Massacre from 1984 might not be as cheesy as their other movies because it was made before the big fromage change-over they had in the late 80s. When stuff like Toxic Avenger, Redneck Zombies and Igor and the Lunatics made Troma a force in the zero budget, comedy horror genre. Unfortunately my optimism led me astray. Zombie Island Massacre, wheres the zombies, wait, was i…...
