Sanjeev Kumar and Nutan had been signed by Nasir Husain for Manzil Manzil. This was big news because after the 'slap' incident Sanjeev and Nutan had vowed not to work with each other. However Nasir couldn't pay Sanjeev the price he quoted and he was replaced by Suresh Oberoi. Eventually the roles were done by Danny and Asha Parekh.

Debut film for Master Chintu in a grown up adult role. Master Chintu was actually a girl who acted as a boy in childhood. In Manzil Manzil, Master Chintu used her real name "Sajida" and played the role of Sundari.
Nasir Hussien wrote the film with Rishi Kapoor in mind. But Rishi refused to meet Nasir after the debacle of Zaamane Ko Dikhana Hain. Rishi blamed himself for the films failure and was too guilt ridden to meet Nasir. The role was then given to Sunny Deol. As Rishi Kapoor was avoiding Nasir Hussain his good friend RD Buramn tried to convince him to do the film. But Rishi Kapoor felt it wont be right on his part.
