Always fantastic to see Gary Coleman

    Clever

Gary Coleman in the title role once again showcases his talent more than the Arnold Jackson role he's famous for.

Comedy, drama and espionage themes are mixed well in this made-for-TV-movie. D. C. Collins is a kid whose imaginations are more than just run wild; he loses sense of reality during moments he should be focusing on tasks on hand.

Along with established actors and fellow child actors, they make this a hilarious and serious movie with Collins using his imaginations to his advantage to outwit spies.

It's a shame that not many people remember this movie and others that Coleman did. While he maintained his comedic elements in this and other movies, it showed he can do serious roles and situations.

Like many of his movies on the big and small screens, this one is rarely aired these days and hard to find on DVD or other home mediums.

Eighties cheese? Sure, but enjoy it if you come across it!

    You won't be disappointed.

DC Collins is both a prime document of the waning years of the cold war, and a blistering exposition of the actor's craft from Gary Coleman. Coleman scored big with 'On The Right Track', the popular 'Kid' series of TV movies, and also this fantasy/espionage thriller.

There's a tender poignancy haunting DC's on screen relationship with Tatyana. Consider the divergent paths: Adlon and Coleman. It's as if the ensuing collapse of the Soviets v the USA were juxtaposed in reverse with the resultant careers of either actor.

Finally, one cannot help but regret Gary's absence from subsequent projects like this. Why is it that audiences are expected to remain starved in the dearth of available material? Reappraise, reissue, distribute.

    It's Gary Coleman.

About: it was like Enemy of the State, Jett Jackson and Inception. Gary is given a device and the Europeans want it while the Americans want too it because it's fear p*RN.

Story and production: A very nice family, proaganfear and political movie. Gary did his thing. This time he isn't adopted for a change. Instead he is the Son of a house Knee Grow.

Many of their accents were so obvious. The hot European girl was hot especially in her soccer shorts. She had a better accent than the veteran actors.

Highlight: Star Wars part. May the force be with you, Gary.

Main Intelligence: 10. I didn't see any signs of a millennial.

Despite this being another CIA proaganfear movie.

    Unworthiness level: N/A.

Should you watch this?: Mos Def. Despite it being a CIA proaganfear movie it was a fun, innocent flick. Gary had so much talent. Again it had elements of Enemy of the State which was another proaganfear movie about America respecting privacy.

Plus DC COLIN'S is such a cool name.

    • Trivia
The phone booth scene at the end serves to homage Superman, often receiving homages as using a phone booth to change between Superman and Clark Kent. However, specific examples of the phone booth as a changing room rarely occurred, particularly following the 1940's, when phone booths started to have transparent glass or plastic sides. Wooden phone booths seemed available in the 1940's, per The Mechanical Monsters and The Bulleteers.
