Up's iconic montage captured the hearts of fans and set a high standard for emotional storytelling in animated films. While If's opening sequence shares similarities with Up, it fails to establish a connection with the audience. Despite the differences, If delivers a heartwarming story that appeals to viewers' inner children and has a satisfying conclusion.
The heartbreaking montage at the beginning of the animated film Up finally got a live-action remake in John Krasinski's $185 million movie. Pixar's Up is notorious for Carl and Ellie's montage in the movie's opening sequence. In just a few minutes, viewers watch the trajectory of their happy lives up until the twist of Ellie's death. Viewers will never forget the sheer joy and satisfaction of watching Carl and Ellie living their best lives together, only to end in such a heartbreaking twist within the film's first five minutes.

Dogstar have been trying to make a go of their sleek, post-grunge alt-rock for decades, but bassist Keanu Reeves’ and drummer Robert Mailhouse’s pesky day jobs as actors keep getting in the way. Now they have planned a third album, Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, due out Oct. 6, and a sleek new video for the song “Breach.”

The Last of Us episode 2 ended with Tess' death, meaning Joel and Ellie continued their journey alone to a specific destination. After encountering two Clickers in a museum earlier in the episode, Joel, Tess, and Ellie continued to the State House to give Ellie to the Fireflies. However, the Fireflies in the State House were either dead or infected, with the latter also applying to Tess, who was bitten by one of the Clickers.
Tess, with newfound desperation to complete their mission due to her negative turn from the bite causing her to believe in Ellie's immunity more than ever, implores Joel to deliver Ellie to the Fireflies. While in the games Tess does this by asking Joel to take Ellie to Tommy, The Last of Us episode 2 sees Joel and Ellie heading to a different location hinted at with The Last of Us episode 1's radio song. “I’ve got another family in Telford that I’ve never spoken about,” announces comedian and writer Holly Walsh on a Zoom press call. “Luckily, by writing this, it’s tax deductible.”
She’s joking of course. Since writing a sitcom pilot about two step-sisters who only discover each other’s existence after their dad’s death, Walsh keeps being asked if the premise is autobiographical. It isn’t, but The Other One is inspired by a true story she heard about a man with two families who gave his kids the same name to avoid confusion or being sprung. “I thought that’s such a brilliant story.”
Walsh and her writing partner Pippa Brown turned it into a six-episode sitcom about uptight, high-achieving Cathy (The Windsors and Ellie & Natasia‘s Ellie White) and freewheeling, fun-seeking Cat (Catastrophe and Misfits’ Lauren Socha). Half-sisters just five days apart in age, they...
