A Let’s Make a Deal contestant had host Wayne Brady bewildered momentarily during the game show.
A recent episode featured a contestant, Daniel, who went on stage wearing a cowboy costume, and it happened to be his birthday.
During the show, he won a bedroom set worth $9,000, but he decided he wanted to win more than that.
Wayne later called him back on stage for a shot at winning the show’s Big Deal, which was an unknown prize.
“How cool would it be to look back on this day and have won the Big Deal?” Wayne asked him.
“This was the day I got to meet comedy legend Wayne Brady,” Daniel replied.
Wayne was surprised by a Lmad contestant’s reply

Dreaming Whilst Black brought a new, diverse audience to the BBC in droves, according to the buzzy comedy’s EP Dhanny Joshi, who was speaking on a panel of diverse creatives at Mia Market.
According to Big Deal Films co-founder Joshi, the A24-distributed comedy has now notched up one of the highest shares of Black viewers for a BBC comedy of all time, around one quarter.
Joshi in part put this down to “creative choices” made throughout the making of the series, which took more than five years to get from web series to screen.
“We were offered deficit financing from huge distributors [early on] but said ‘Let’s not do that,” he told a panel in Rome. “Our overdraft facility may have been just £3,000 but we didn’t want to be tied to a distributor who may view creative choices as risky. The BBC has hit its £100M ($130M) three-year diversity content comittment with one year to spare, according to the corporation.
The public broadcaster said it has spent around £120M over two years on shows that qualify under the commitment, which was forged in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. It is also ahead on radio content spend, according to the BBC Diversity Commissioning Code of Practice Progress Report.
The three-year commitment only counts shows that qualify under two of the following three criteria: diverse stories and portrayals, diverse production leadership and diverse company leadership. The criteria are discussed when a show is commissioned and then measured at transmission. Recent examples of shows that would have met the criteria include Big Deal Films/A24 comedy Dreaming Whilst Black and Candice Carty-Williams adaptation Champion.
“We’ve always said the investment was a starting point,” said new Diversity & Inclusion Director Chinny Okolidoh.

“I tried to reference all of the stimulus in his head that led him to create amazing pieces of theater,” details director Wayne Cilento on honoring the legendary choreography of Bob Fosse. Cilento has crafted the first ever Broadway revival of “Dancin’,” but the show now comes appropriately billed as “Bob Fosse’s Dancin’” since the director was keen to go beyond what was presented in the original incarnation. ”I wanted to show his scope,” explains Cilento, ”I wanted to do more than what he presented in 1978.” Watch the exclusive video interview above.
Cilento starred in the original Broadway production of “Dancin’” and earned a Tony nomination for Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance. Cilento was not a Fosse dancer when he booked the show (he jokes that he had previously auditioned for “Chicago” but was “cut immediately”). The songwriting credits for the new Apple TV Plus animated series “Central Park” include a veritable who’s who of American female singer-songwriters stepping out of tune-land and into toon-land as guest writers, with Sara Bareilles, Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, Cyndi Lauper and Meghan Trainor among those represented.
None of their voices will be heard on the show— that’s left to a voice cast that includes executive producer Josh Gad, Leslie Odom, Jr., Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs and Stanley Tucci — but the list of talent the show attracted just as songwriters is bound to draw pop fans’ interest.
Other top-rank names contributing to the songwriting come from the worlds of theater, film and TV composing, including Alan Menken and Tony nominee Glenn Slater. The bulk of the songs, however, comes from the show’s core writers, Kate Anderson & Elyssa Samsel (“Olaf’s Frozen Adventure”) and...

Harrison Ford could soon be taking on the first regular television role of his career.
Variety has learned exclusively from sources that the iconic movie star is attached to star in a series adaptation of “The Staircase,” the docuseries that detailed the trial of American novelist Michael Peterson, who was accused of murdering his wife in 2001. Peterson claimed his wife died after falling down the stairs at their home, but police suspected he bludgeoned her to death and staged the scene to look like an accident.
The project is currently being shopped to networks and streaming services. Ford is attached to executive produce the series in addition to starring. Antonio Campos will write and executive produce, with Annapurna Television producing. The docuseries was originally released in 2004, with creator Jean-Xavier de Lestrade updating with new information years later. Netflix released it as a 13-episode series in 2018.

Showtime has picked up to pilot Big Deal, a half-hour single-camera comedy co-created by and starring Emmy-nominated Saturday Night Live alumna Vanessa Bayer. Emmy-winning former Inside Amy Schumer head writer Jessi Klein serves as showrunner on Big Deal, which Bayer co-created with former SNL writer Jeremy Beiler.
