Filming began in 1982 or 1983. However, financial problems shut down production. In October of 1988, other producers found the footage, hired two young actresses to film new footage around the old footage, and that became Island Fury.
At the end of the movie, at Jimmer's cabin, there appears to be an upside down life saver ring from the S.S. Minnow.
This was the last time Elizabeth Monet and the director Henri Chart worked together.
