In Sound Mind developer We Create Stuff has announced that they’re revisiting their 2010 Half-Life 2 horror mod Nightmare House 2 in remake form with Nightmare House: Reimagined. Rebuilt from the ground up as a standalone title in Unreal Engine 5, Nightmare House: Reimagined (which you can wishlist now on Steam) solely focuses on the house from the first chapter of the original game, massively expanded with new rooms, secrets, dangers and deep lore to uncover.

The story sees the player character waking up in a mysterious, abandoned house. No matter where you turn or what you do, you feel as if you’re being watched. You must search the house to uncover “her” secrets, exploring every corner to reveal unspoken truths as you overcome the nightmares heading your way.

While all eyes are on Barbie stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, as well as praise for director Greta Gerwig’s feminist message, the world of Barbie would not have been possible if not for production designer Sarah Greenwood and set decorator Katie Spencer. In an interview with Variety, Greenwood and Spencer share their behind-the-scenes design process for building the amazing world of Barbie Land.

When the project started, Greenwood explained that producers Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley, Gerwig, and Mattel gave her and Spencer complete creative freedom to craft Barbie Land.“That was great and scary because it was like, ‘Oh, right, now we’ve got to go and figure it out.” Most of the sets were built on sound stages, which enabled Greta Gerwig and cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto to convey an immersive feeling of actually being in Barbie Land. We only have a few titles on the docket for this week’s home media releases, but there’s still some fun stuff to keep an eye out for, especially if you're a fan of classic genre films. Mondo Macabro is keeping busy with several Blu-ray releases, including Panic Beats, Blood Ceremony, and Queens of Evil, Code Red is showing some love to an often overlooked ’80s slasher—The Forest—and Bless the Child is getting re-released on DVD for the first time in decades, too. Also being released on March 9th is Rent-a-Pal from Scream Factory.
