Prime Video’s Invincible’s Borrowed Half Its Voice Cast From a 79%-Rated Gem
Image
Amazon Prime Video has a vast library of content that has hooked its users, but Robert Kirkman’s Invincible is in a league of its own. The original show has been one of the biggest surprises in recent years, where it continued to grow in popularity in a period where the fans were entering into an era of superhero fatigue.

The animated superhero masterpiece has continued to be a widely adored show, especially with its unconventional hero and taking a more divergent path from its source material. But what has been the show’s secret to success is its voice acting team, who have effortlessly breathed life into the characters.

Surprisingly, the show’s voice actors are not unknown; in fact, fans have seen them in the post-apocalyptic masterpiece, The Walking Dead.

Playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Online in 2025 Is Easier Than You Think
Image
2010’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is widely regarded as one of the best games in the Battlefield series because of its exceptional single-player and engaging multiplayer modes. The game set the foundation of the Battlefield franchise, but unfortunately, a few bad decisions led to the creation of Battlefield 2042. Since the game offers an underwhelming experience, most Battlefield fans still play old games to reminisce about the good old days.

In 2023, the game’s online support officially ended and was removed from digital storefronts. However, there is still a way to experience Bad Company 2‘s online multiplayer in 2025, and it’s quite simple.

How to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in 2025?

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 offered an exciting multiplayer experience, which can be experienced in 2025 through Project Rome. Unfortunately, this is only possible if players already own a legit version of Bad Company 2, as Venice Unleashed’s Project Rome is basically a mod for...

The Surprising Influence That Helped Robert Kirkman Perfect Invincible
Image
Robert Kirkman, the mind behind The Walking Dead and Invincible, recently shared how his past mistakes have shaped the animated series Invincible for the better.

Speaking with Deadline, Kirkman explained that the rocky patches of The Walking Dead taught him how to make Invincible’s storytelling sharper and more cohesive.

Reflecting on The Walking Dead, Kirkman admitted that its later seasons, especially from Season 6 to Season 9, felt disjointed. The TV show made changes from the comic, but those tweaks caused problems down the line. “I didn’t properly plan for the butterfly effects that came from those changes,” he said.

The Strongest Attack in One Piece Yet: It’s Not Garp’s Galaxy Impact or Kaido’s Flame Bagua
Image
Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is full of explosive battles. These clashes between pirates, Marines, and Emperors shape the seas and are full of creative attacks. While a few of these attacks are meant to deal severe damage, a few others are used with the motive of restraining the opponent. The One Piece fan community often debates the most devastating attack in the series.

Sure, moves like Garp’s Galaxy Impact can destroy a large mountain, and Kaido’s Flame Bagua can scorch Luffy. Still, one attack eclipses them all: Conquest of the Sea, the attack unleashed by Big Mom and Kaido during the Onigashima Raid. This technique redefines destruction in the One Piece universe. Let’s see why this attack stands as the series’ strongest.

Invincible’s Robert Kirkman on Battle Beast: I Had Already Chosen the Star Trek Actor to Play Him When I Created the Character
Image
Robert Kirkman’s popular comic Invincible was adapted to a series, and they have been at the top of their game since its premiere in 2021. The Amazon Prime Video show chronicles the coming-of-age of Mark Grayson, a part-Viltrumite superhero, who is trained by his father, Nolan Grayson, a.k.a. Omni-Man.

Among the various adversaries Grayson fights as Invincible, Battle Beast has been one of his most dangerous ones yet. The superhero barely survived his battle with the Beast in the show, and he has been a fan-favorite character from the comics. The character was voiced by Star Trek: Tng’s Michael Dorn, who Kirkman is reportedly a huge fan of.

Game of Thrones (2011)
Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is a new video game based on House of the Dragon
Game of Thrones (2011)
Netmarble has officially released Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, quite possibly the most ambitious Game of Thrones video game yet made. But Warner Bros. has more gaming fun in the hopper. According to Pocket Gamer, it's already soft-launching another game, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Although you wouldn't guess based on the name, Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is actually based on House of the Dragon, HBO's Game of Thrones prequel show. As you can see in the trailer above, characters like Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen appear, not to mention their dragons.

Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is a strategy game. So players will manage funds, crops, minerals, troops and more as they wage war across Westeros, all to win the Dance of the Dragons civil war and claim the Iron Throne. They'll make deals, expand their influences, and hatch dragons for use on the battlefield. Battles play out on a tiled grid.

George R.R. Martin: I Admit I Was “Surprised” When HBO Greenlit a Staggering 4 ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequels
Image
It’s not a secret anymore that we’re getting a handful of prequels thanks to the popularity of Game of Thrones and the success of House of the Dragon (even if it’s debatable). This year, HBO is bringing a new epic based on George R.R. Martin’s novella, Tales of Dunk and Egg. While fans were looking forward to more stories based in Westeros, the author was surprisingly caught off guard by the studio’s decision.

It takes a lot of risk and courage to attempt to replicate the global phenomenon of Game of Thrones, but somehow, the latest prequel series managed to take the world by storm. With this, HBO must be very confident enough to greenlight more spinoffs.

George R.R. Martin did not expect this number of Game of Thrones spinoffs

Invincible Season 4: Everything We Know So Far
Image
Spoilers ahead for "Invincible."

"Invincible" has concluded its third and latest season, but rest assured, Prime Video has already renewed it for a fourth season. The animated series is based on the original comics by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker (who drew the earliest issues), and Ryan Ottley (who took over as artist starting from "Invincible #8). Published at Image Comics, "Invincible" ran for 144 issues between 2003-2018.

Both versions of the story follow teenage superhero Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun in the cartoon). He's the son of Nolan Grayson (J.K. Simmons), aka Omni-Man. Hailing from the planet Viltrum, Omni-Man is the greatest superhero in the world. After he turns 17, Mark inherits his father's Viltrumite gifts of strength, flight, and longevity, and becomes the superhero named (of course) Invincible. Mark has to balance family, hero work, and ultimately his inherited legacy when Omni-Man turns out to be not so benevolent after all.

Director Carl Rinsch Pleads Not Guilty to Defrauding Netflix, Spending $11 Million Meant for Sci-Fi Series on Cars and Crypto
Image
Carl Rinsch has pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud and money laundering, after the director was accused of taking $11 million from Netflix — meant for a sci-fi series that was never completed — and spending it on cars and cryptocurrency.

Rinsch, who was out on a $100,000 bond, appeared in a downtown Manhattan courthouse Thursday afternoon for the arraignment, where a judge cracked jokes in a room packed with Columbia law students. Later in April, Rinsch is due back in civil court in Los Angeles for a debtor’s examination by Netflix’s lawyers. The entertainment company has obtained an $11.8 million judgment and is attempting to locate assets it may be able to seize.

A trial date was set for Sept. 8, along with a continuation of Rinsch’s bail conditions. Most of the evidence in this case has been handed over to the defense, but the prosecution said they have several hard...

Netflix spent $55m on a sci-fi series; its director allegedly spent millions on mattresses and cars
Image
More details have emerged from one of the most bizarre industry cases in years: Netflix, director Carl Rinsch, and the $55m sci-fi show that never was.

In 2018, Netflix signed a deal worth some $55m in return for what it hoped would be another hit series on the scale of Stranger Things. The sci-fi show never emerged; instead, the streaming giant is now trying to track down some luxurious mattresses in the hope of regaining some of the money it’s lost.

That, at any rate, is what is alleged to have happened, as revealed in an ongoing court case between Netflix and filmmaker Carl Erik Rinsch. Word of the abortive production on Rinsch’s would-be series first emerged in 2023, but it’s only in recent months, following the director’s arrest on the 18th March, that more details have come to light.

Netflix wants its money back.

Five years after wiring $11 million to director Carl Erik Rinsch for a sci-fi series that never got made, the streamer is asking for a return on those funds.

Later in April, Rinsch is due back in civil court in Los Angeles for a debtor’s examination by Netflix’s lawyers. The company has obtained an $11.8 million judgment and is attempting to locate assets it may be able to seize.

In previous divorce proceedings, Rinsch has said that he is broke. Rinsch owes $420,000 in spousal support to his wife, Gabriela, according to a recent filing from her attorneys. In...

Invincible Confirms Season 4 Release Window, Teases Casting for Major Series Villain

Kneel before Grand Regent Thragg, coming soon to Invincible.

"No new episode today, so how about an everything we know about Season 4 so far post?" the Invincible Instagram page wrote the week after its season finale premiered, confirming that season 4 will return next year. The post also confirmed that voicework for season 4 is complete and, besides the main cast, a voice actor has been selected for Thragg, the Viltrumite Empire's ruler and ultimate villain of the Invincible franchise.

While the identity of Thragg's actor remains unknown, season 3's events teased a build-up to the comic's Viltrumite War arc, pitting Invincible, Omni-Man, Allen the Alien, and the Coalition of Planets against Thragg and his remaining Viltrumite forces. This included Omni-Man's confession that less than 50 pure-blooded Viltrumites remain in the galaxy, with the remainder of their people being wiped out by...

Invincible team announces Thragg will be in season 4 and has been cast
Image
If we're going by the source material, season 3 of Invincible completed volume 12 of 25 of the comics. The Invincible War followed by the fight with Conquest was the perfect way for Prime Video to hit close to the halfway of the series and the right ending point of the season. As unforgettable as those were, the attitude change from Mark Grayson (Invincible) is the most crucial moment of the season. Mark stated that anyone who threatened his family would be killed and he wasn’t joking.

I’ve stated in multiple articles that this was the beginning of dark times for Invincible, but season 3 was only a taste of what's to come. If you thought the Invincible War and Conquest were a problem, wait until you meet the most powerful Viltrumite alive, Grand Regent Thragg.

The Invincible social media team wasted no time announcing the future of the series in their posts.

Invincible Creator: I Wanted Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the Show Because “I couldn’t let Eric Kripke have all the fun” With The Boys Bagging a Supernatural Reunion

The finale of Invincible season 3 hit all the right boxes, both in terms of the in-world and meta context. As for Morgan’s casting as Conquest, even though creator Robert Kirkman was aware of the potential risk, given the former’s reunion with The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, Kirkman wasn’t going to let this opportunity slide.

“It would have prevented a ton of misery”: Even Robert Kirkman Acknowledged the Single Worst Reason We All Think Invincible’s Mark is a Grade-a Loser
Image
Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for Invincible.

Invincible’s arc so far in the show has been him struggling to not become his father. This has manifested in a chronic aversion to killing, something that Mark has given in a few times, albeit under duress, like with Angstrom Levy, and the Future Immortal. Robert Kirkman has revealed why Mark’s journey has been the way it has, and what his thoughts were on where Mark landed in the finale of Season 3.

Invincible || Credit: Prime Video

The fight with Conquest ended with Mark deciding that if it ever came down to his family and an attacker, he would hesitate to protect his family, killing the aggressor if necessary. This is shown in the fact that Mark has zero remorse for the death of Conquest and that he blatantly tells Oliver that his attitude was right about Angstrom Levy. Robert Kirkman...

'47 Ronin' Director Carl Rinsch Arrested For Defrauding Netflix
Image
The director behind the 2013 film 47 Ronin has finally been indicted after allegedly defrauding Netflix of $11 million. Carl Rinsch could be facing a life behind bars instead of the camera if he is found guilty of the charges against him for ripping off the streaming giant by promising an epic sci-fi series that never materialized. While there are several big projects a year that don’t make it to the finish line, this case was very different as Rinsch is accused of taking the money and using it to live out a lavish lifestyle of high-value purchases and cryptocurrency gambles.

According to THR, the 12-page indictment was made public and has FBI Assistant Director Leslie Backschies as saying, “Carl Rinsch allegedly stole more than $11 million from a prominent streaming platform to finance lavish purchases and personal investments instead of completing a promised television series. The FBI will continue to reel in...

Conquest (1983)
Netflix | Director Carl Erik Rinsch indicted in an $11 million fraud case
Conquest (1983)
Director Carl Erik Rinsch has been arrested for allegedly defrauding $11 million from Netflix – money originally earmarked for an abortive sci-fi series.

Marking the latest chapter in an increasingly outlandish case, filmmaker Carl Erik Rinsch was arrested on Tuesday the 18th March for alleged money laundering and wire fraud.

According to official court documents, Rinsch has been charged with defrauding Netflix out of $11m – a sum of money the director is alleged to have spent on personal investments and luxury items rather than the science fiction TV series he’d originally agreed to make.

The case goes back to 2018, when Netflix signed a deal with Rinsch to make a sci-fi series called White Horse (later re-titled Conquest). Rinsch was best known at the time for 47 Ronin, a martial arts fantasy film starring Keanu Reeves that didn’t do too well at the box office. All the same, Netflix was hungry...

Carl Rinsch, ‘47 Ronin’ Director, Indicted by the FBI After Allegedly Ripping Netflix Off for $11 Million, for a Sci-Fi Series ‘Conquest’ That Never Saw the Light of the Day
Image
Federal prosecutors have arrested Carl Erik Rinsch, a filmmaker known for directing “47 Ronin,” on charges of defrauding Netflix out of $11 million. The money was intended for a sci-fi series called “White Horse,” later renamed “Conquest,” which he never completed. Authorities say Rinsch misused the funds for personal gain instead of finishing the project.

The trouble began when Netflix paid Rinsch’s company $44 million in 2018 and 2019 to produce the series. The show, centered on a scientist creating artificial humans that rebel, had sparked a bidding war among studios.

By March 2020, Rinsch asked for an additional $11 million, claiming the original amount wasn’t enough. Netflix sent the funds, expecting progress on pre- and post-production work.

Instead, prosecutors allege Rinsch moved the money through various accounts, eventually landing it in his personal brokerage account. Within two months, he lost over half of it in risky stock and cryptocurrency trades. With the remaining cash,...

Director Carl Erik Rinsch Indicted for Defrauding Netflix Out of $11 Million
Image
Director Carl Erik Rinsch was indicted by federal prosecutors on Tuesday for defrauding Netflix out of $11 million, money he received to produce a science fiction TV series but instead spent on personal investments and property.

According to documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Rinsch has been charged with one count of wire fraud, one count of money laundering, and five counts of engaging in a monetary transaction in property derived from specified unlawful activity.

Rinsch made his reputation making commercials with striking visuals and went on to direct the 2013 Keanu Reeves action film “47 Ronin,” though he was removed from that project during production after the budget ballooned to $225 million. In 2018 Netflix greenlit a sci-fi series from Rinsch, “Conquest” which was never completed and eventually canceled.

Netflix ultimately took a write-off of $55 million for the aborted production.

Director Carl Rinsch Indicted on Charges of Defrauding $11 Million From Netflix
Image
Director Carl Erik Rinsch has been indicted on charges of fraud and money laundering for allegedly taking $11 million from Netflix and spending it on luxury cars, antique furniture and mattresses.

Rinsch demanded the funds in order to finish “White Horse,” a science fiction TV series that was never completed, according to the indictment. Instead, he allegedly used the money to make “extremely risky investments,” to pay for stays at the Four Seasons and for other lavish purchases, and to hire lawyers to sue Netflix.

Rinsch, 47, was arrested Tuesday in West Hollywood, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

Netflix declined to comment.

The allegations were first reported in a New York Times story in November 2023. They are also spelled out in a lengthy arbitration ruling, which was made public last August. The arbitrator ordered Rinsch to repay $11.8 million, and...

47 Ronin director charged with fraud over unfinished Netflix series and could face 90 years in prison
Image
Carl Erik Rinsch made his feature directorial debut with 47 Ronin. The historical fantasy action film starring Keanu Reeves was eviscerated by critics and declared a box office bomb. Despite that failure, Netflix still agreed to fund Rinch’s ambitious sci-fi series, but instead, he allegedly spent the money on cryptocurrency and Rolls-Royces and paid for his divorce. Now, he could be facing the consequences as the Justice Department has charged Rinsch with defrauding Netflix out of $11 million.

Rinsch was arrested today and, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York, has been charged with “one count of wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; one count of money laundering, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; and five counts of engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity, each of which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Feds Indict ‘47 Ronin’ Director Who Allegedly Scammed Netflix Out Of Millions For Never-Made TV Series

Federal prosecutors have indicted Carl Rinsch for allegedly taking $11 million from Netflix for a long promised sci-fi series that was never made.

“Carl Rinsch allegedly stole more than $11 million from a prominent streaming platform to finance lavish purchases and personal investments instead of completing a promised television series,” FBI Assistant Director Leslie Backschies said Tuesday of Netflix a.k.a “Streaming Company-1” in the 12-page indictment, as the indictment was made pubic. “The FBI will continue to reel in any individual who seeks to defraud businesses.”

Invincible Season 3's Finale Is One Of IMDb's Highest-Rated Episodes Ever
Image
Spoilers ahead for "Invincible."

"Invincible" season 3 has come and gone with just as much critical praise and fanfare as the show's two prior seasons. According to one specific rubric, it even hit a new high for the show. At the time of this writing, the "Invincible" season 3 finale, "I Thought You'd Never Shut Up," holds a near-perfect 9.9/10 audience score on IMDb. That's just a small notch above the penultimate episode of season 3, which holds a 9.8. Both episodes have eclipsed the IMDb score for the season 1 finale, "Where I Really Come From," which remains one of the most iconic episodes of television from the past decade.

Hitting a new stride (at least in the eyes of some fans) in its third season is a huge accomplishment for "Invincible," and it bodes well for the show's future. Prime Video has one of the best reputations for renewing streaming shows long-term, in part...

‘Invincible’ Season 3, Episode 8 Ending Explained: Conquest’s Arrival Ends Bloody
Image
Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Invincible” Season 3 Episode 8.

Conquest’s arrival on “Invincible” was one of the most hotly anticipated moments from fans of the comic book series and it didn’t disappoint.

Season 3 of the Prime Video animated series put Mark Grayson aka Invincible (Steven Yeun) through the ringer and the final episodes were the most brutal. Clean-up from the aptly named Invincible War – where Earth was beset by a multiversal army of morally questionable Invincibles – had barely begun before Conquest showed up. His arrival was teased at the end of Season 2 and comic fans knew to expect one of the bloodiest fights of the show when he did.

That’s exactly what we got.

Below, Invincible and Conquest’s brutal fight is broken down and those final teases for Season 4 are explained.

Where Is Jonathan Banks in Invincible Season 3 After Jeffrey Dean Morgan Took Up Conquest?
Image
Amazon Prime Video’s animated series Invincible Season 3 introduces significant developments, particularly in its casting of esteemed actors Jonathan Banks and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Banks, best known for his role as Mike Ehrmantraut in Breaking Bad, and Morgan, who famously portrayed Negan in The Walking Dead, lend their voices to pivotal characters in the new season. Banks takes on the role of Brit, while Morgan voices the formidable Viltrumite antagonist, Conquest.

Morgan brings a nuanced intensity to Conquest, a character feared in the Invincible comics for his ruthless demeanor and formidable strength. His arrival in the penultimate episode, titled What Have I Done?, sets the stage for an epic showdown with protagonist Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun). This casting not only reunites Morgan and Yeun—rekindling their on-screen rivalry from The Walking Dead—but also introduces a villain whose presence will profoundly challenge Mark.

I’m Glad Invincible Season 3 Episode 7 Didn’t Drag the Invincible War That Will Set Up the Show’s Traitor Like a Suckerpunch
Image
Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers ahead for Invincible Season 3

The latest episode of Invincible covered a lot of ground, from bringing back Angstrom Levy and the Invincible War to the first appearance of Conquest. The show saw some of its most devastating moments during the War as Mark Grayson had to fight his worst enemy: himself and more of himself. However, many felt that it got over too soon.

While it stays true to the comics, I am glad the makers did not drag out the War for more than an episode or worse, the whole season. Invincible is not a show that gives breathing room to Mark Grayson and being a superhero in real life does not always have time outs. It may also set up Rudy Connors’ a.k.a Robot’s betrayal.

'Give Steven [Yeun] His Chance at Redemption': Jeffrey Dean Morgan Addresses His Walking Dead Reunion On Invincible
Image
As fans of The Walking Dead will know, Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, killed Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, in one of the show's biggest moments. It was one of the most brutal and heartwrenching deaths in a show full of people getting eaten by zombies in quite a vivid fashion.

Given Glenn's fate, he won't be getting revenge against Negan in the world of The Walking Dead. And yet, Robert Kirkman (who co-created both Invincible and The Walking Dead), it seems, no small fan of irony, as Invincible will pit the two actors against each other once more. This time,Morgan won’t be the one walking away.

How Putting Morgan In The Role Gives Yeun a Chance To Avenge A Fallen Hero

That Morgan plays the role feels not only fitting but ironic - the man who played Negan, Glenn’s killer, now playing Conquest is almost...

Who Does Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks Voice in Invincible Season 3?
Image
Quick LinksJonathan Banks Is Brit, the Super-SoldierInvincible Needs to Give Brit More Screen-Time

The following contains spoilers for Invincible Season 3, Episode 7, "What Have I Done?," now streaming on Prime Video.

Invincible Season 3 once more continues to stack big names in the cast. Aaron Paul as Powerplex and Kate Mara as his wife, Becky, are prime examples. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is also playing the wicked Viltrumite warrior, Conquest, with Simu Liu similarly playing Multi-Paul. One more actor who joins the ranks in joining Invincible's voice cast is Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks.

Viewers loved Banks as Mike, the partner Jesse thought of as an uncle, and who Walter screwed over in that AMC series. No one had an inkling as to who Banks would be voicing, however. It turns out Banks' character has a short but very important role; that could help with Invincible's future.

The Walking Dead Fan Favorite Was Considered From the Start to Voice Invincible Season 3 Villain
Image
The following contains spoilers for Invincible season 3, episode 7, "What Have I Done?", now streaming on Prime Video

Robert Kirkman always knew Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the right man to voice Conquest in Invincible.

After season 3's penultimate episode concluded with Mark Grayson staring down a new Viltrumite foe, the Invincible creator and executive producer spoke with Entertainment Weekly about adapting his iconic battle with Conquest for animation. Morgan's voice, he admitted, was selected for this role "probably since the beginning of the show's existence.... Conquest needs a lot of nuance. There's a tremendous amount of personality there, even though he is this giant, powerful brute that's just wrecking things. And I knew Jeffrey could bring that."

Given Morgan's performance as The Walking Dead's Negan, who infamously made his debut by killing Steven Yeun's Glenn, both he and Kirkman recognized the appeal of having this fight between these two actors come full circle.
