Dayle Haddon, Luc Merenda, and Enrico Maria Salerno in Le parfum du diable (1975)

Trivia

Le parfum du diable

Edit
Director Sergio Martino said the idea for the film came about because he wanted to make a crime thriller film (which was popular in Italy at the time) but change the rules a bit by giving the film a lighter tone.
Star Luc Merenda mentioned in an interview that he considers this one of the favorites of the films he's done because of "the lovely story, it was different, and the character had more depth."
Director Sergio Martino originally wanted Fabio Testi for the lead role of Luca Altieri. Testi, however, didn't want to do it so Martino picked Luc Merenda at the last minute.
Cinematographer Giancarlo Ferrando said in an interview that star Luc Merenda loved doing the risky scenes. He would often put himself in the dangerous shots and sometimes even do his own stunts.
