The film grossed a total of 2.972 billion Italian lira on its release making Flatfoot the first and most commercially successful attempt at mixing the crime genre with comedy.
The original Danish VHS-release from FilmLab (cat. no 7518) titled "Flatfoot - Byens Skrappeste Stridser", also contained an unmentioned adult bonus-movie (no word on the cover, only with the title written on the label of the cassette), titled "Hello Molly! (1989)", that began immediately after the main feature ended.
Juliette Mayniel's voice is dubbed by another actress in the French language version.
