Jackie Chan's 7 Kung Fu Fantasy Movies, Ranked Worst To Best
Image
When it comes to Jackie Chan fantasy films, the varying results can be just as interestingly unpredictable as the stunts the martial arts sensation is famous for. From animated epics to martial arts-packed mythological adventures, Chan has experimented with various projects over the years, from cult classics to box office brawlers. Whether he’s wielding legendary weapons, fighting CGI monsters, or physically performing stunts only Jackie Chan can do, the actor's ventures into the fantastical realm often integrate traditional fighting methods with over-the-top Hollywood-esque storytelling.

Some moments deliver memorable action and imaginative worlds, while others stumble over a chaotic rug of plots as well as struggle to balance action and narrative. Chan’s journey is a whirlwind of quirky charm, daring action, and pure chaos. Whether soaring high with martial arts magic or falling short somewhere along the way, the greatest Kung Fu movie star of all time has never...

Toronto Film Festival’s Midnight Madness lineup includes Boy Kills World
Image
This year’s edition of the Toronto International Film Festival is set to take place from September 7th through the 17th, and yesterday they invited film fans to guess which ten movies they’ll be screening in their Midnight Madness lineup this year. The hints were the titles of ten movies that could be compared to the films in the lineup in some way. They were Trey Parker’s Orgazmo, Geoff Murphy’s Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, Jimmy Wang Yu’s Fantasy Mission Force, Charles Martin Smith’s Trick or Treat, Stan Brakhage’s Dog Star Man, Martin Scorsese’s After Hours, Lucio Fulci’s City of the Living Dead, Paul Schrader’s Blue Collar, Ingmar Bergman’s Hour of the Wolf, and Theodore J. Flicker’s Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang. Now TIFF has announced the full lineup for both their Midnight Madness and Discovery programmes, and...

Queen + Adam Lambert are bringing their Rhapsody Tour back to North America for their first shows on this side of the Atlantic since 2019. The tour kicks off Oct. 4 in Baltimore, Maryland, and wraps up Nov. 11 in Los Angeles, California.

‘Mission: Impossible 7’ Cast Photo Gets the Imf Crew Back Together
La Mission fantastique (1983)
The Impossible Mission Force is together again in a new behind-the-scenes pic from Mission: Impossible 7. Director Christopher McQuarrie took to social media to praise the film’s first assistant director, Mary Boulding, and most of the cast got in on the action, too. So while this isn’t an actual image from the film, it does feature Tom Cruise, Simon […]

Game of Thrones Podcast #35: “Kill the Boy”
No boys were killed in the making of this episode, but Maester Aemon did use the episode title “Kill the Boy” as a metaphor for how Jon Snow needs to become a man. Now if only Dany can become the woman she is supposedly meant to be. This week, our discussion gets heated as Ricky expresses his frustration with season five. Here to defend the series is guest host, Les Chappell.

Kevin Hart
Recap: 'Saturday Night Live' – Kevin Hart and Sia
Kevin Hart
It’s only been two years since Kevin Hart last hosted “Saturday Night Live,” and yet Hart will find himself interacting with plenty of new not ready for primetime players. (Nearly half the cast is new in that time.) Hopefully that leads to a better episode, as his initial hosting gig didn’t produce a particularly memorable episode. I’m mostly curious to see if the show can continue the momentum produced by its stellar Fall run, one of the best sustained runs in the past five years. Will we see another great episode, or are the Powers That Be already focused on next month’s 40th anniversary extravaganza? Only one way to find out: via liveblogging tonight’s episode! Honestly, all I want is another “Z-Shirt” sketch. Then I’ll be happy. I’m easy to please that way. Come back at 11:30 pm Est and follow along! Martin Luther King...
