Gracie Abrams is a Grammy-nominated singer and the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and television producer Katie McGrath.
The artist has found success among Gen Z and has performed as the opening act for Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour Tour and Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
Although some may call Gracie a “nepo baby,” Interscope CEO John Janick shuts down the idea that her Hollywood ties played a part in being signed to the label.
“She’s done this on her own without taking any of the shortcuts,” Janick told Billboard in an interview, noting he still hasn’t met Gracie’s parents. “It was purely signing her based on how she was as a person and a songwriter. That’s what we were interested in.”

Halfway through Green Day’s headlining set on the second day of this year’s Coachella Music and Arts Festival, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong asked the audience if it was their first time at Coachella.
When about half responded with a roar, Armstrong responded with a white lie: “It’s my first Coachella too!” Actually, it was more than a white lie: Armstrong performed a historic set at the Outdoor Theater on the Polo Field in 2014, filling in as frontman for the then-reunited Replacements while singer Paul Westerberg watched from a couch onstage.
That night, a small smattering of hardcore alt-rock fans watched Armstrong fulfill his own cult-hero fantasies. Last night, a throng many tens of thousands deeper saw Armstrong and his main band fulfill their destiny as the holders of rock’s eternal flame. As the only announced rock headliner in the festival’s post-covid era (Blink-182 were a...

Green Day closed out the second night of Coachella 2025, finally making their debut at the festival after more than three decades in the spotlight.
Since their post-pandemic return, Coachella has been leaning on its California ‘90s rock roots in a much more overt way — first with blink-182 in 2023, then 2024’s No Doubt and Sublime reunions, and now Green Day, who have been at the legacy level for years and had still never headlined. So seeing them provide a proper rock show as one of Saturday’s marquee performance felt strangely right this year, especially given Green Day’s “down with authority” ethos and the painfully urgent relevance of their most political tracks. After the sweaty, bombastic decadence of Charli Xcx and the random-but-deeply-welcome Bernie Sanders cameo at Clairo’s set, Green Day’s sweeping bravado and crowd-pleasing mentality was welcome.

Floyd Russ, the director of the new O.J. Simpson Netflix docuseries, American Manhunt: Oj Simpson, has revealed that he uncovered incriminating evidence that was not presented at Simpson’s murder trial.
Simpson was acquitted of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman.
The docuseries director also told The New York Post that for “almost everybody that [the crew] interviewed, the word ‘regret’ is something that you could talk about for hours.”
“Just looking at the world and what’s happened in the last six to seven years – things like the MeToo movement, Black Lives Matter and the surge of true crime – we think of O.J. as the most epic, iconic, crazy, disastrous, true crime story ever,” he declared. It has themes of domestic violence, themes of race, themes of [police] versus prosecution versus defense, and who controls the narrative. Those are topics that I think people are talking about.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” is here and with it are the expectations that go along with it – namely that Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) will annoy the hell out of the more stoic Wolverine (Hugh Jackman); that there will be plenty of cameos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and beyond); and that the post-credit scenes will leave you bopping out of the theater with a smile on your face.
Let’s tackle that last one today, discussing what happens after Deadpool and Wolverine go on their cross-multiverse journey, facing off against a bureaucratic wonk from the Time Variance Authority (Matthew Macfadyen) and Charles Xavier’s evil twin Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), who threaten to destroy not only Deadpool’s timeline but all timelines.
Of course, it’s time we issue a severe spoiler warning, as we dig into whether or not there are post-credits scenes and what those scenes entail. Ready to break the fourth wall?...

Marvel's Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack has a range of catchy pop tunes, capturing the levity fans expect from Deadpool's multiversal adventure. The movie's success is evident in record-breaking ticket sales, likely paving the way for a billion-dollar box office hit in 2024. The soundtrack, featuring 18 songs, was released on July 24, and vinyl and CD versions of the soundtrack have also become available.
The official Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack injects plenty of fun into the movie over the course of a range of songs. Deadpool & Wolverine debuts the titular two in the MCU for the first time, bringing them on a multiversal adventure that sees the duo clash with the Tva and encounter myriad variants from Fox's X-Men universe and beyond - including plenty of Deadpool himself. In the same vein as movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, the events of Deadpool & Wolverine play out to the tune of...

"Deadpool & Wolverine" isn't just the entry point for Wade Wilson into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it's not just an excuse for Hugh Jackman to collect a paycheck for his return as the beloved mutant from the "X-Men" franchise. You might be surprised to see that the third entry in the "Deadpool" film series is also a love letter to the Marvel movies that came before it from 20th Century Fox.
Not only are there Marvel cameos by a myriad former superheroes, including Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Chris Evans as a foul-mouthed Johnny Storm from "Fantastic Four," but Channing Tatum finally gets to live out his dream of playing Gambit, with a look straight out of the X-Men comics of the '90s.

With his Instagram posts of old Thrasher magazine covers, flyers of seminal post-hardcore group Jawbox, and pictures with Neko Case, Matt Jencik is not your stereotypical Taylor Swift target. The 50-year-old, long-haired, bespectacled longtime buyer for Chicago’s legendary Reckless Records admits he’d probably be listening to Van Halen at home. But in records stores like Reckless and around the country, things have changed drastically.
“I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d have to think about Taylor Swift [vinyl] as much as I do now,” Jencik, who’s...
