Series co-creator Anna Raeburn's primary job was as a broadcaster and journalist who specialised as a radio agony aunt (she prefers the term adviser) on Capital Radio's ground-breaking late night phone-in "Anna And The Doc" - mirrored in the show with Jane Lucas' regular slot on Happening Radio 242 - which ran for fourteen years.
In the opening sequence for the first season, the sub-headings on Jane's Problem Page in "Person" magazine are actually the episode titles for that run.
The series theme tune was released as a 7" single on Pye Records (7N 46187) in 1979.
