If Ever I See You Again (1978)

Trivia

If Ever I See You Again

Edit
This movie has never been released on DVD or Blu Ray disc but it was released on home video cassette during the 1980s.
Third and final theatrical feature film as an actor of director and composer Joseph Brooks.
Cast member Jimmy Breslin was nominated in Harry and Michael Medved's book ''The Golden Turkey Awards'' (1980) in the category of "Worst Acting Performance by a Novelist".
The movie got green-lit based on the box-office success of Un petit mélo dans la tête (1977) which shares a number of the same crew and production personnel. Both pictures were mid-late 1970s romantic love stories which featured a title song with the same name as the movie. Both ran on the coat-tails of the box-office success of Love Story (1970) which set the template for the weepie picture for around a decade or more.
The film's theme song of the same name ''If Ever I See You Again'' sung by Roberta Flack went to the No. #24 spot on 'The Billboard Hot 100' chart.
