Edit
Manek Chatterjee met with a accident and Gulzar completed the film.
Film was much more head of its time when society would neglect rape victims.Rekha's performance of a rape victim was applauded.
Rekha and Vinod Mehra are shown going to watch Loafer 1973 film at Chandan cinema in Juhu Mumbai.
Moushumi Chatterjee was offered the film but decided to turn it down once she realized that Vinod Mehra was the leading man. In those days there were too many rumors of Vinod being involved with Moushumi. She decided it was best to not work with him.
Aap Ki Ankhon Mein Kuchh.Kishore Kumar wrongly sang "Lab hile" instead of Gulzar's original words "Jab hile" in the first antara of this song. R.D. Burman and Gulzar let the mistake go, and that is how the song was eventually released.
