Marvel Rivals is going through a healing meta right now. But one character that kinda feels left out is Adam Warlock. While he was a strong pick during the game’s beta and first month of release, the balance changes and shifts in the meta have forced him to take a step back in the meta in favor of other healers.
The game has moved toward a healer meta in Season 1. | Image Credit: NetEase Games
His lack of mobility and slow healing have made him feel outclassed by other, more dominant healers. Cloak & Dagger and Luna Snow are currently at the top of the meta because of the sheer amount of utility they provide. And if Adam Warlock wants to compete, he’s gonna need some buffs.
Adam Warlock isn’t as good as meta healers and players want buffs But what kind of buffs would be good for balance?...

Warning: Major spoilers for Alarum below!Sylvester Stallone's latest action thriller Alarum came dangerously close to breaking his worst screen habits - then chickens out at the moment of truth. The latest Sylvester Stallone action movie features the screen legend in a supporting role as Chester, an arbiter (Aka assassin) sent to take out an Awol spy named Joe (Scott Eastwood). Sadly, Alarum doesn't quite break Stallone's recent disappointing action streak - though it is more fun than 2024's dour Armor.
Stallone's appearance in Alarum is very much an extended cameo, though he's such a pro he steals every scene regardless. It's also something of a villain role, with Chester preferring to kill using a slow-acting poison. He injects Joe with this poison around the midway mark, which gives Eastwood's character 60 minutes to finish the mission before his death. This adds a nice ticking clock element -...

I would love to see Finn Jones return to the MCU as Danny Rand, who first appeared in Netflix's Iron Fist, but Marvel needs to make him a much stronger hero. Previously known for roles in Game of Thrones and The Sarah Jane Adventures, Finn Jones became known to Marvel fans as Danny Rand in Netflix's Iron Fist series, part of the Defenders Saga. Out of the six shows comprising the Defenders Saga, however, Iron Fist is widely regarded to be the weakest link, which makes me concerned for the Iron Fist's future in the MCU.
In early 2024, Netflix's Defenders Saga was confirmed to be canon to the MCU and integrated into the McU's official timeline on Disney+. This makes me think that Finn Jones' Danny Rand is now an official part of the MCU, though neither Marvel Studios nor Jones himself have revealed whether this is the case.

There is a lot of stuff in Baldur's Gate 3, from gold to gems to magic items, particularly in the game's busy third act. It takes place in the lower part of the titular city, Baldur's Gate, and gives players the option to explore many streets and shops as they finish their fight against the Absolute's forces. With so many interesting locations and trinkets on display, it can become tempting for even the most lawful of players to commit some light thievery.
And while stealing is generally wrong, this is one case where you should absolutely let the temptation of treasure take hold. Looting areas in Baldur's Gate 3's final map is incredibly rewarding, both in terms of monetary gain and exploration, and more players should take the chance to sneak around the Lower City's stores.

Warning: Major spoilers for Armor below!Sylvester Stallone's action thriller Armor sits at 0% on Rotten Tomatoes and again shows his failure to break one of his strangest rules. Another element that makes this Sylvester Stallone action movie unique is that it's one of the rare times he's played a villain, as the thriller makes it clear Sly's "Rook" is willing to kill the guards trapped inside the armored truck he's trying to break into. Despite a fun hook, Armor has a dismal 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which with complaints about everything from the stock characters to the terrible CGI.
Even the film's slim runtime feels "padded" to some reviewers. It also doesn't offer Stallone any interesting material to work with, and the star refrains from making Rook too nasty or mean. Stallone only worked on Armor for one day (according to The Los Angeles Times), which is an impressive...

Anime has become such a popular and evergreen storytelling medium because of its limitless opportunities and diverse genres. Shonen anime are some of the mediums most successful titles, many of which produce hundreds of episodes and run for the better part of the decade. Akira Toriyamas Dragon Ball remains an archetypal shonen triumph that modern anime continues to chase. Dragon Balls accomplishments are plentiful, and the original anime premiered on February 26, 1986, on Fuji TV, where it ran for 153 episodes, at which point Dragon Ball Z started to air on April 26, 1989.
Dragon Ball helped establish many shonen staples, yet itd be disingenuous to the demographic and genre to overlook the many anime that preceded it. Dragon Ball blazed trails for shonen anime during the 90s and 2000s, but there are still some incredible shonen titles from the 70s, 80s, and even earlier that still hold up and are as impressive and entertaining as Dragon Ball.

There is a slew of villains that Deadpool could bring in for his next outing, which is rumored to include Wolverine as well. However, there are few villains that could actually do any lasting damage to the Merc with a Mouth.

The early 2000s were a bad time for Sylvester Stallone professionally. In the mid-nineties, after a short-lived resurgence of three hit movies, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man and The Specialist, Stallone’s career as a bankable action star began to sputter, with Judge Dredd, Assassins and Daylight all losing money. Copland, an indie drama directed by James Mangold, made money and earned Stallone his best reviews since the original Rocky, but his follow-up movies were disastrous. His attempt at a slasher/ horror movie, D-Tox, sat on the shelf for years, finally being released under the lame title Eye See You. His 2000 remake of Get Carter was another disaster, with critics eviscerating him for remaking the Michael Caine classic, with even a cameo from Caine himself not easing their fury. In 2001, he teamed with Cliffhanger’s Renny Harlin on a go-for-broke would-be blockbuster called Driven.

News about Shang-Chi 2 could be on the way. At least, that's what Marvel Cinematic Universe fans think following a cryptic social media post by franchise star Simu Liu.
The actor, who stars in the MCU as Xu Shang-Chi, recently shared a jacked, shirtless selfie on the social media platform X with the caption, "prepping," along with the "eyes emoji." While Liu may be getting in shape for a non-Marvel role, such as his upcoming untitled espionage series on Peacock, fans of the superhero franchise believe that the actor is teasing that some good news regarding the status of Shang-Chi 2 is around the corner. A sequel to the Phase 4 movie, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, was announced in December 2021, with Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed to be returning as writer/director on the project.

Warning! This article contains Spoilers for Tulsa King season 2.Watching Tulsa King makes me wonder why it took so long for Sylvester Stallone to show how great he is at playing a gangster. Stallone stars in Tulsa King as Dwight Manfredi, a capo from a New York City mafia who was sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma to start his own criminal empire. Tulsa King has also been a massive success for Stallone, and it's one of the best shows on Paramount+. I'm a big fan of both Tulsa King and Stallone, but the show has also highlighted something really confusing about the actor's career.

To kill or not to kill is an ever-looming question that plagues a mangaka. This especially holds for iconic characters. While Boruto may not be as iconic as its predecessor Naruto, it carves its own identity while staying true to Masashi Kishimoto’s core storyline. However, with character deaths, there are differences in opinion.

This is especially true when outlining a character’s death in the story. While the sequel spin-off breaks away from its predecessor’s shadow, it retrieves the core elements from the original series. In this case, the point of difference is Kurama’s fate in the series.
Kurama’s Fate in Boruto was contentious for Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto

The Bam Smack Pow comic book fighting tournament continues. The second set of fights were all about the supervillains. Unlike the superheroes bracket 9which produced some surprising results), most of the winners there made sense.
Shocking to no one, Doomsday destroyed Homelander in the voting (84%-16%), while En Sabah Nur won against Omni-Man (59%-41%). Voters believed in Black Adam more than Sentry (25%-75%). I was shocked that Thragg lost to Gorr the God Butcher (29%-71%). Loki took a major victory over Lobo (81%-19%). Sinestro took a beating against Thanos (95%-5%). Brainiac lost to Injustice Superman (24%-76%). Lastly, in the most dominant win so far, Darkseid defeated Anissa by a whopping 98%.
But how will our superhero fighters bracket go? Let's find out!

With Comic-Con fast approaching, we're hoping to see Marvel Studios highlight its live-action and animated offerings in Hall H later this month.
One of the most intriguing Marvel Animation titles is Eyes of Wakanda, a Black Panther spin-off with ties to the main MCU. The expectation is that it will be released this year, a surprise when we first learned of its existence long after Marvel Zombies and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Now, The Cosmic Circus has shared some new details about the series, including the fact Axis Studios is involved. They've previously worked on the likes of Love, Death & Robots, Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, and Destiny 2, and the site believes Eyes of Wakanda will be fully CG animated.
That's a departure from the likes of What If...? and X-Men '97 and the show is described as "very fast-paced, fluid, exhilarating, and very exciting."

Tony Lo Bianco, the Brooklyn actor who oozed criminal charm in the gritty 1970s New York City dramas The French Connection and The Seven-Ups, has died. He was 87.
Lo Bianco died Tuesday night of prostate cancer at his horse farm in Poolesville, Maryland, his wife, Alyse, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Lo Bianco was also memorable as a smooth-talking con man with a lonely nurse (Shirley Stoler) for a girlfriend/accomplice in Leonard Kastle’s documentary-style The Honeymoon Killers (1970), which Francois Truffaut once said was his favorite American film.
In another cult classic, the horror thriller God Told Me To (1976), directed by Larry Cohen, Lo Bianco starred as a New York cop who investigates a series of bizarre murders orchestrated by the leader of a religious group (Richard Lynch).
He received a best actor Tony nomination in 1983 for playing Eddie Carbone in a revival of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge,...

The MCU could introduce the Midnight Sons team in the near future. Doctor Strange, Blade, Iron Fist, and more are potential candidates for the Midnight Sons. The Midnight Sons team could provide more diverse storylines and connections within the McU's supernatural corner.
The Midnight Sons could be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future, and there are already some perfect members for the team. Marvel has plenty of popular teams in the comics, with the MCU introducing only a few of them so far, like the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. As some of the best movies in the MCU came from team efforts, it would make sense that the franchise would expand its roster of superhero squads.
Making that even more likely is the huge criticism Marvel has faced over the absence of an Avengers movie in Phases 4 and 5. With so many characters in the MCU,...

Even as he collected his martini, the burly stranger who introduced himself as “Joe” exuded an aura of belligerence. We were standing on the fringe of a post-screening reception, so, hand extended, I blurted, “Did the movie work for you?”
“It was blah,” he replied. “Given what they spent for the script, they should have made a powerful f*ckin’ movie.”
At the time I didn‘t realize I was talking with Joe Eszterhas, who had made $4 million from sale of his script — more an auction than a sale and hardly “blah.” Joe and several estimable writing colleagues were participants in what came to be known in the mid-‘80s as the “Writers Rebellion,” a moment when top screenwriters decided to reinvent what they considered a broken system for propagating their creative product.

Imaginary, the latest team-up between Blumhouse and director Jeff Wadlow – who had previously collaborated on the 2018 film Truth or Dare and the 2020 horror version of Fantasy Island – reached theatres on March 8th, and it hasn’t set the box office on fire during its tow and a half week theatrical run, pulling in just under $29 million at the global box office. Now Lionsgate has given the film a PVOD (that’s Premium Video on Demand) and Pest (that’s Premium Electronic Sell-Through) release, so maybe more genre fans will check it out now that it’s available to watch in the comfort of our own homes.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to feel a lot smaller.
According to trusted insider Daniel Richtman (via X), Marvel Studios will be taking fewer risks in the future and focusing on more guaranteed hits. This means that Eternals 2, which was reportedly secretly being worked on at Marvel, is now on hold as Disney CEO Bob Iger believes it's destined to flop. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, however, would still like to see the sequel get made. Ant-Man 4 and Captain Marvel 3 are also not expected to happen following the box office performances of their respective predecessors, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels.

Daredevil: Born Again star Jon Bernthal recently teased his Marvel Cinematic Universe return as Frank Castle/The Punisher with a cryptic Instagram post.
On Feb. 11, the actor posted a caption-less image of the fictional children's book, One Batch, Two Batch, on his Instagram page. Fans of Netflix's Daredevil series will remember that the in-universe children's book was a favorite of Castle's daughter, Lisa. In the Season 2 episode, "Penny and Dime," Castle explains how Lisa begged him to read it to her the night before she and the rest of Castle's family were murdered. With Bernthal currently filming Daredevil: Born Again, it's possible that the book could reappear in the upcoming Disney+ series as a way to revisit Castle's tragic backstory.

Danny Rand has access to advanced technology and resources without relying on the Iron Fist. His tech division at Rand Corporation could give him a new superhero identity or second calling as a hero. The potential for Danny to create or already have advanced tech sets him up as a strong contender for Marvel's Batman.
Warning: Spoilers for Luke Cage: Gang War #2!If anyone has a right to be Marvel's Batman, it's the original Iron Fist, Danny Rand. There have been many characters over the years who have either laid claim to or been viewed as the Marvel equivalent of DC's billionaire with a superhero persona. Iron Man is usually a popular choice as well as more surprising candidates, like Black Panther.
Now, thanks to Luke Cage: Gang War #3 by Rodney Barnes, Ramon F. Bachs, Andrew Dalhouse, and Vc's Travis Lantham, Danny Rand is the latest candidate to emerge as Marvel's Batman.

Is Marvel Studios willing to put its dukes up again with Iron Fist? According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the House of Ideas has a female-led Iron Fist series in the works for Disney+. Marvel Studios recently announced that the studio’s Netflix shows are canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, paving the way for heroes like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to mix it up with other characters in the MCU. While Iron Fist is brimming with potential, fans reacted poorly to Finn Jones’s portrayal of the classic Marvel character. The second season of Marvel’s Iron Fist concluded with Colleen Wing (Jessica Chenwick) picking up the torch as the new Iron Fist. Is Marvel plotting Colleen’s return to the MCU, or is this rumor only wishful thinking?

Norman Jewison made movies that mattered.
“Timing is everything,” the director told me the one time we met. I’d been enlisted to host a long Q&a with Jewison at the American Cinematheque — and I was more than a little intimidated.
From “The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming” in 1966 to “Other People’s Money” in 1991, Jewison had an astonishing quarter-century run behind the camera, directing movies that impacted the culture when they came out (none more than “In the Heat of the Night”), a great many of which are still watched today. Turns out, this legendary talent couldn’t have been sweeter.
Jewison liked to tell the story of how he met Bobby Kennedy before making the landmark Sidney Poitier picture. He and Kennedy crossed paths while on vacation skiing, where both of their kids wound up in the hospital.

The virtuoso Canadian helped craft much of postwar Hollywood cinema, directing Sidney Poitier in In the Heat of the Night, Topol in Fiddler on the Roof and Cher in Moonstruck
For five extraordinary decades, Norman Jewison’s film-making was the beating heart of Hollywood drama: he could do anything and supercharged it with idealism, confidence and style. Oscar-nominated film director and producer Norman Jewison, who steered the 1967 racial drama “In the Heat of the Night” to a best picture Oscar and also helmed such popular films as “Moonstruck,” “The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming” and “The Thomas Crown Affair,” as well as film musicals “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Jesus Christ Superstar,” died Saturday at his Los Angeles residence. He was 97.
His film career began with fluffy Doris Day comedies like “The Thrill of It All.” But Jewison’s social conscience began to surface with “In the Heat of the Night” and, later, the labor union drama “F.I.S.T.” and other films focusing on racial tensions such as “A Soldier’s Story” and “The Landlord” (the latter of which he only produced), though he never abandoned comedies and romances.

Norman Jewison is dead at the age of 97. For over four decades he sustained a career of films that became major box office hits as well as others that presented current social issues in a Hollywood context (with some combining the two). He died peacefully at his home on Saturday January 20.
“In the Heat of the Night,” which beat “Bonnie and Clyde” and “The Graduate” for the Best Picture Oscar for 1967, is the most obvious example of Jewison’s talent for turning tough subjects into hit movies. It grossed (adjusted to current prices) over $200 million, with it already having become a major success before it won five Oscars. Ironically, the racially-charged story about a Northern Black detective (Sidney Poitier) investigating a murder and confronting a racist Southern police chief wons its Oscars in a ceremony delayed by the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Norman Jewison, the multifaceted filmmaker who could direct a racial drama (In the Heat of the Night), stylish thriller (The Thomas Crown Affair), musical (Fiddler on the Roof) or romantic comedy (Moonstruck) with the best of them, has died. He was 97.
Jewison died Saturday at home — his family does not want to specify exactly where — publicist Jeff Sanderson announced.
A seven-time Oscar nominee, Jewison received the prestigious Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences in 1999.
Known for his ability to coax great performances out of his actors — 12 of his players were nominated for Oscars, while five of his features made the cut for best picture — the most distinguished film director in Canadian history often used conventional genre plots to take on social injustice.
Improbably, he got his start directing musical specials on television.

Marvel's Iron Fist is honored with beautiful fan artwork, reminding readers why they want to see the hero on-screen. The image showcases Iron Fist's full power and the depth of his character, making it clear that he is a force to be reckoned with in the Marvel Universe. Netflix's portrayal of Iron Fist did not do justice to the character's full potential, and Marvel should bring a new version of the hero into the MCU with more vocal supporters like Kode Abdo cheering him on.

Despite no longer being the Iron Fist, Danny Rand has still got it, when it comes to kickin' butt as a true hero. Devilman Crybaby captures the Lovecraftian horror and character dynamics of Berserk, with similarities between Akira and Guts. Fist of the North Star, a major inspiration for Berserk, features a protagonist similar to Guts and offers a thrilling, action-packed experience. The Rose of Versailles, despite being a shojo classic, shares similarities with Berserk in its court intrigue and character development.
It's no surprise that fans are on the lookout for the best anime like Berserk. After all, no franchise has moved the needle for the dark fantasy genre quite like Kentaro Miura's masterpiece. Since its publication in 1989, Berserk has become the subject of two anime series, three films, and three video games. Even popular video games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls borrow heavily from Berserk's legacy. With the recent release of Chapter 375 of the manga, it's clear that Guts' revenge-fueled journey continues to capture audiences nearly 35 years later.
