Michel Piccoli is here at his best. During the first minutes, you have an exquisite sequence, when Piccoli, a business man, comes back home earlier than foreseen and finds his wife - Claudia Cardinale - in bed with his associate - Jacques Perrin - and he behaves with them as if nothing happened; don't miss the faces of the two illegitimate lovers!!!And Piccoli's character brings his associate to the building in construction which he is in charge of, to the top, using an elevator...Don't miss Perrin's face !!! A pure delightful drama directed by the eclectic Etienne Perier, a french born film maker who also gave us Hollywood films such as BRIDGE TO THE SUN or ZEPPELIN. But most of his movies were French however.
