Lillian Müller in The Night They Took Miss Beautiful (1977)

Trivia

The Night They Took Miss Beautiful

Edit
Features three Playboy Playmates: Stella Stevens (Playmate of the Month, January 1960), Lillian Müller (Playmate of the Year, 1976), and Rosanne Katon (Playmate of the Month, September 1978).
In the December 1994 issue of American Cinematographer, in a story about the overuse of gratuitous violence in film, John Bailey wrote about his experience working on this movie as a camera operator. He took the job on short notice and wasn't able to read the script beforehand, so he went in not knowing anything about it. He was ashamed of the content he was filming, and after two days, despite needing the job, he told cinematographer Jules Brenner that he could not in good conscience continue working on it. Brenner, who had worked with Bailey on previous movies, felt "left in the lurch" and promised they would never work together again, and they didn't. Bailey was saddened by this, but felt that he had "crossed a personal Rubicon of self-respect" relating to the misuse of violence in films.
Stella Stevens wears a wig in this film. During the late 1970s she spent most of her time on her ranch in Washington State and kept her hair very short, wearing wigs when returning to Los Angeles for television work.
