Why film lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri remained obliged to poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz?
Eminent poet and film lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri needs no introduction. He belonged to the legacy of learned lyricist like Sahir Ludhianvi, Kaifi Azmi, Shakeel Badayuni etc. who blossomed as literary poets but took to penning songs to make a decent earning.

List of songs penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri are long. They range from K. L. Saigal's Jab Dil Hi Toot Gaya.. (Shahjahan) to Aamir Khan's Pehla Nasha.. (Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar). Other hits songs include Jaane Walo Zara Mudh Ke Dekho Mujhe... (Dosti), Jalte Hain Jiske Liye... (Sujata), Kya Hua Tera Vada... (Hum Kisise Kum Naheen), Ek Din Bik Jayega Maati Ke Mol... (Dharam Karam) etc.

Once for the movie Chirag (1969), staring Sunil Dutt and Asha Parekh, film director Raj Khosla asked Majrooh Sahab to pen a song which could emphasize the beauty of eye because the film's plot centered on the heroine's attractive eyes and how her world goes...

Action Replayy is all over during the last laps!
With just a few days left for 'Diwali', the final countdown has begun for one of most thrilling and interesting battle for supremacy at the ticket window with Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3 and Vipul Shah's Action Replayy running neck-to-neck, though G3 still leads Ar but not by much. In terms of publicity and promos, while Golmaal 3 had a quite a big edge in the initial rounds with some superb musical teasers (especially the deadly title track) and rib-tickling dialogue promos but it seems that Action Replayy pulled up it's socks in the next few rounds with a barrage of musical promos and equally rip-roaring dialogue promos. In fact it appears that music giants T-Series had saved the best for last and as more and more chartbusters are being showcased everyday and thus building up the tempo and the hype surrounding Action Replayy, which seems to be getting bigger day by day.
