Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Lace Harding Romance Guide
Image
Lace Harding is a recurring character in the Dragon Age universe who plays a more significant role in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. She is known for her cheerful attitude and unwavering loyalty. She is initially encountered as a scout in Dragon Age: Inquisition but has worked her way up to being a main companion. She looks very different than her previous design, but she acts similarly. If they were popular, many more important companions in the Dragon Age games would start as side characters in previous ones. Harding was well-liked, so seeing her as a romanceable companion is no surprise.

Harding is deeply knowledgeable about dwarven culture and history, often sharing insights and stories from her experiences. She is a skilled archer and a valuable asset to any team. She's an easy companion to like because of her positive can-do attitude, but her romance feels average compared to others in the game.

The Godfather's Ending Explained (What Happens and What It All Means)
Image
The Godfather's ending solidifies Michael's transformation into a ruthless Mafia Don through violent acts and powerful imagery. The Baptism of Blood montage showcases the stark differences between Vito and Michael, highlighting Michael's cold and calculating nature. The closing scene with Kay symbolizes Michael's final evolution into a mafia boss, isolating himself from his family while embracing his criminal empire.

The Godfather ending is one of the most iconic in cinema history, and both cemented Francis Ford Coppola's reputation as a director, and set up the events of The Godfather Part II. Based on the original 1969 novel by Mario Puzo, The Godfather centered on the infamous Corleone New York crime family. The Godfather begins with Marlon Brando's Don Vito Carleone, and Al Pacino's Michael Corleone as the wholesome son with no interest in his father's business. However, by The Godfather ending, Michael has emerged as the head of...

Hunger Games Prequel Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes Left Rachel Zegler Bruised From A 'Bloodbath'
Image
It's a little odd to get excited about the "Hunger Games" films coming back, right? Not because the previous films in the franchise were bad (on the contrary), but because they're the opposite of escapist entertainment. The initial four films based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling young adult novels are pretty unflinching in the way they depict a future where a fascist government forces working-class young people to fight one another to the death for the amusement of the wealthiest and most powerful members of society. Those films are just as frank in the way they confront the psychological impact on the Games' survivors and how easily revolutionaries can be manipulated by politicians or even become fascists themselves.

This also makes the "Hunger Games" films uncomfortably on time for a revival with this year's adaptation of Collins' prequel book, "The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes." Set long before the other entries in the series,...

Gwar Announce Battle Maximus 10th Anniversary Expanded Edition, Share “Falling” Remix: Stream
Image
Gwar are revisiting their 2013 album Battle Maximus with a new 10th anniversary expanded reissue. A remixed and remastered version of the track “Falling” can be heard now ahead of the reissue’s September 1st release date.

Battle Maximus stands as the final Gwar album to feature late band mastermind Dave Brockie, aka Oderus Urungus, and the 10th anniversary edition features his final vocal performance on the previously unreleased bonus track “Tammy, the Swine King.”

“Ten years after its initial release, the wounds are just as fresh,” commented guitarist BälSäc, the Jaws ‘o Death. “The words that Oderus wrote as a tribute to his fallen Scumdog brother, Flattus Maximus, gain new meaning when heard as the final lyrics he would ever sing. The songs echo in stereo through the twin holes that were left in our hearts by the absence of Oderus and Flattus. This new remix of Battle Maximus breathes...

Cocaine Bear: Maximum Rampage Edition reaches Blu-ray, DVD, and digital this month
Image
Director Elizabeth Banks’ “character-driven thriller” Cocaine Bear (read our review Here) already received a digital release a few weeks ago, but another digital release is coming up later this month – and this release is being called the Maximum Rampage Edition! The Maximum Rampage Edition will be available digitally on April 14th and will be reaching Blu-ray and DVD on April 18th. Physical media copies can be pre-ordered at This Link.

Cocaine Bear is based on true events that took place in Kentucky in 1985. As our own Kevin Fraser reported last year, the true story goes like this: “In 1985, convicted drug smuggler Andrew Thornton was on a smuggling run from Columbia and had dumped several packages full of cocaine before bailing from the plane himself. Unfortunately, he hit his head on the tail of the aircraft and wound up in a freefall to the ground where he was found dead in someone’s driveway.

‘Cocaine Bear’ Maximum Rampage Edition Claws Its Way Onto Digital and Blu-ray This Month
The very premise and violent nature of the Elizabeth Banks-directed horror-comedy Cocaine Bear screams “maximum.” But it’s about to get much more unbearably over-the-top with a new Cocaine Bear Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital “Maximum Rampage Edition” home release.

The “Maximum Rampage Edition” comes loaded with behind-the-scenes extras, including an alternate ending, deleted scenes, and gag reel, and will be yours to own on Digital April 14, 2023, and Blu-ray and DVD April 18, 2023, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

The movie is inspired by true events that took place in Kentucky in 1985, and it was written by Jimmy Warden. Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) produced.

Cocaine Bear is “Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner’s plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest...

Silvio Narizzano obituary
Director best known for Georgy Girl, a romantic comedy set in 60s London

The film and TV director Silvio Narizzano, who has died aged 84, handled several genres throughout his career, including black comedies, period pieces, social dramas, action thrillers and horror movies. But one picture, his swinging London romantic comedy Georgy Girl (1966), stands out from the rest of his eclectic filmography.

Georgy Girl was part of the trend in which British cinema shifted the focus from provincial life and back to the metropolis, celebrating new freedoms and social possibilities. Narizzano, influenced by the French New Wave and his chic contemporaries Richard Lester, John Schlesinger and Tony Richardson, explored such "shocking" subjects as abortion, illegitimacy, adultery and sexual promiscuity with a light touch. The film, which took its cue from the jaunty title song by the Seekers, had superb performances from Lynn Redgrave as the virginal and plain Georgina; Charlotte Rampling...

Silvio Narizzano Dead at 84: Directors Guild Nominee for Georgy Girl
Silvio Narizzano, best known for the 1966 swinging London comedy-drama Georgy Girl, died July 26. Narizzano was 84. Based on Margaret Forster's novel, and starring Lynn Redgrave, Alan Bates, James Mason, and Charlotte Rampling, Georgy Girl was considered daring at the time because its plot included sex (of the non-marital kind), abortion, and adultery. For her performance as the homely, ungainly Georgy, Lynn Redgrave was nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award and for a BAFTA in the Best British Actress category. Additionally, she shared the New York Film Critics Circle's Best Actress Award with (eventual Oscar winner) Elizabeth Taylor (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?). Narizzano, for his part, was nominated by the Directors Guild of America. Born in Montreal (Feb. 8, 1927) to an Italian-American family, Narizzano began his show business career on the Canadian stage and television. He later moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked on British TV. Narizzano's first...
