Sally Field in Sybil (1976)

Review by redrick30

Sybil

9/10

the people, the people........

I remember seeing this movie in high school, in my Psychology class. I had to do a report on it. I loved this move and I hated this movie. I is very sad and mean to what her mother did to her when she was little. On the other had the acting is very very well done my Field and Woodward. That is what keeps me coming back to this movie form time to time. I is disturbing to know this it a true story. If it were just fiction then I would love it more. I know that is kinda strange. I read the book back 1993. Of course the book goes into a lot more detail. Dr. Wilber smoked, where the movie version she did not not. She had like nuts near her desk/couch that she munched on form time to time. All the personalities were present in the book, that were in the move. Some only had one line or just referred to. On bio's like these can make one sad to see one person do harm to another person. As the same way watching "What's Love Got to Do with It", a bio. about Tina Turner's life. I love that move and I hate it. The acting is wonderful, but the story line is dark and mean. Howerver it is good to know that they were to find the streangh to pick up the pieces and heal their past live. To have a good happy ending. I have a warn out original version of "Sybil". I hope hope that they will release the FULL version on DVD very soon.
