    Star vehicle for both stars.

SOLOS LOS DOS pits star bullfighter Sabastian Palomo Linares and box office star Marisol into a contrived story about the hardships of loving a man who is always in danger.

Once the courting begins Sabastian and Marisol take walks in the park, walks in the town, look lovingly at each other and she sings songs.

Once he goes back to work Marisol mugs at the camera, swings her hair, squints, cries, takes long walks in the park, takes long walks in the snow and looks longingly at the lover she may never be able to keep.

This love story looking for a plot is really a 91 minute music video with the camera annoyingly flying up to the sky after every scene.

For Marisol and Linares fans only.

Entertaining and fun Marisol/Sebastian Palomo Linares film , showing splendidly their skills as singing as bullfighting

This amusing , funny flick deals with 2 stars by that time , Marisol and Sebastian Palomo, including vistas of real bullfighting carried out by the famous bullfighter . She is a wealthy singer and car pilot , he is a successful Torero . As Marisol is a rich heir , daughter of a sympathetic and understanding widow , Conchita Montes ; as Marisol likes to participate in car races without speed limit and singing at shows with a band called Cock Tail . One day, along the way Marisol meets on the road the known young bullfighter Sebastian Linares . After that , Marisol is raising funds for schools destinated to unfortunate children when there appears Sebastian who proposes bullfighting or Corridas to get it. Instantly , he deeply fall in love with Marisol and she loves him too ; but Marisol suffers really from his dangerous job , that's why she doesn't seem to be ready with a Torero who risks constantly his life every time he goes to the arena .

A charming film with a simple , plain and convoluted plot , full of songs , dancing and a lot of bullfighting , being an attractive vehicle for both superstars , providing natural and light interpretations by this protagonist duo . Likeable acting from Marisol as a young girl who takes part in car races and championships , at the same time she sings marvelously and has romances . Marisol here looks young and beautiful and provides enough chemical with his partner Sebastian , a bad actor but a very good bullfighter. Marisol was a prodigy child , she was discovered by producer Manuel Goyanes in titles as Un rayo de luz , Ha llegado un angel and Tombola , following other hits as Marisol rumbo a Rio , Buscame esa chica , La nueva Cenicienta , Carola de dia Carola de noche . And to ongoing successful career as a grown-up woman with plenty of hits . As a grown-up actress she played : 4 bodas de Marisol , La chica del Molino Rojo and directed by Juan Antonio Bardem she made Corrucion de Chris Miller and El Poder Del deseo . And for Carlos Saura she acted in Bodas de Sangre and Carmen , while for director Mario Camus she interpreted Los dias del pasado along with his husband Antonio Gades . And in TV she performed Mariana Pineda , being his last film Caso Cerrado as Pepa Flores . Here Marisol is well accompanied by Sebastian Palomo Linares as a Torero who falls deeply in love with her ; Palomo Linares even gives some rules about bullfighting such as : Pase La Veronica , the use of Capote and Muleta , including sacrificing a real bull . Both of them are supported by a fine plethora of secondaries, as the two veteran and likeable actresses Conchita Montes and Isabel Garces who give great talent and experience , and Jose Orjas , along with the uncredited Jose Sazatornil and Jose Mara Tasso.

The picture contains charming score by the known musical duo Juan and Junior. And an atmospheric and adequate cinematography by Antonio L. Ballesteros . As well as appropriate production design by the prolific Enrique Guerner. The motion picture was professionally directed by Luis Lucia. He was a good craftsman who made a lot of films. At the beginning he was a lawyer for the powerful production company Cifesa ; later on , he started to direct some notorious rendition based on classic authors as Jacinto Benavente in Pepa Doncel , and Calderon de la Barca in El Principe encadenado . And made import dramas as Molokai , La orilla and Aeropuerto .Shortly after , he realized several titles , usually vehicules for Folkloric women or famous players , such as : Lola Flores in Hermana Alegria , Morena Clara ; Carmen Sevilla in La hermana San Sulpicio , Antonio Molina in Esa voz es Una mina ; Rocio Durcal in Rocio de la Mancha , Cancion de Juventud ; Luis Mariano in Sueño de Andalucia ; Ana Belen in Zampo y yo and finally Marisol in Un rayo de luz , Ha llegado un angel , and Tombola , getting big Spanish boxoffices thanks to the charming Marisol.

    • Quotes

Marisol Collado: Have you realised, Sebastian?

      Sebastián: What?

Marisol Collado: That you exist. That you're here. Living is wonderful. You must be aware at any minute that you live. That now the sun's setting. That there are waves on the sea. That a dog barks. That a horse gallops far away. That we're together. That it doesn't matter what happens tomorrow, cause we will still be together. That our senses exist. That they are awake. That we see, hear, taste.

      [a train sounds far away]

Marisol Collado: Do you hear it?

      Sebastián: Yes.

      Marisol Collado: The train.

      [Horses galloping]

Marisol Collado: . Can you hear that? They sound like drums.

      [bells far away]

Marisol Collado: The church bells. Flocks... Yokes... There's life everywhere, Sebastian. And love too, the same in an old olive tree than in a small flower. And everywhere, there we are.
