When John Cleese first speaks to Oskar Werner he seems to accidentally call him Mr Hilter, before correcting it to Mr Zelter. Hilter was the name by which Hitler is referred in one of Monty Python's most famous sketches, although it was written after this film was made.
A remake of the 1957 Universal-International film of the same name starring June Allyson and Rossano Brazzi. However, despite having the same title and the same plot (transplanted to Swinging London, and with the names changed), there was no reference to the earlier film in the credits of this movie, or in publicity; many people at the time took it to be an original screenplay. The 1957 film was itself a remake of a film of the 1930s, "When Tomorrow Comes".
Final film of Virginia Maskell.
