Martine Beswick, Klaus Kinski, and Gian Maria Volontè in El Chuncho (1967)

Trivia

El Chuncho

Edit
It is rumored --to the point of almost being a legend--that director Damiano Damiani became so frustrated with Gian Maria Volontè and Klaus Kinski, two actors who were notorious for being difficult to work with, that one day they pushed him so hard that he beat them and whipped them on the set until they finally behaved and did as they were told.
The 'golden machine gun' is a Hotchkiss machine gun (likely an 'Mle 1914' chambered for 7 x 57mm Mauser ammunition).
Italian censorship visa # 48326 delivered on 16 December 1966.

Director Cameo

Damiano Damiani: A (possibly American) journalist who shakes hands with Gen. Elias shortly after Chuncho and Tate's arrival. He is present in the Italian and "International" versions, but is cut from AVCO Embassy's American version.
