Marvel is announcing the cast for the upcoming “Avengers Doomsday” film in the most un-Marvel, painful way possibly. Announcing a new cast member, with their names on a director’s chair, every 15 minutes. While most of the names are exactly what we expected, Tenoch Huerta Mejia is also included. This is surprising because he was accused of sexual assault in 2023.
So far, here are the announced cast members for “Avengers Doomsday.”

The recent concept art leak for Avengers: Doomsday has massively increased excitement for the movie and, while Doctor Doom remains a divisive choice of villain, many fans are now happy to sit back and let the Russo Brothers cook.
The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez has shared some exciting rumours about the movie today, starting with Doom's plan for the Multiverse.
He explains that the villain sets out to stop the incursions from happening, thereby avoiding a Multiversal collapse. Like Thanos, he sees himself as the hero and is likely on the warpath after He Who Remains silenced his and every other universe by creating a single Sacred Timeline. Now, Doom wants to "take the reins of his timeline and win his freedom."
Perez goes on to explain that, while the Council of Kangs has obviously been dropped from a movie originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, it's not as simple...

Holiday blockbusters like “Mufasa: The Lion King” and “Gladiator II” and a re-release of Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” helped lift profits and revenues at Imax during its fourth quarter. Revenues at the big screen company increased by 8% to $92.7 million, up from $86 million in the prior-year period. Net income at Imax more than doubled, topping out at $5 million compared to $2.5 million. Imax reported earnings per share of 27 cents, compared to 16 cents in the year-ago period.
However, Imax shares fell sharply in after-hours trading, dropping nearly 5% after the company failed to match Wall Street’s projections. Analysts were forecasting the company would post earnings of 29 cents per share and revenues of $104.8 million.
Imax’s CEO Richard Gelfond shrugged off the after-market dip, telling Variety “I don’t attribute it to anything. I don’t think it makes a difference.”

For cinema owners, “Survive till 25” has become a mantra as one catastrophe after another has kicked their business’s recovery down the road. But the end of that long and winding road is here, so will the upcoming slate result in a true box office revival?
Over the next 11 months, Hollywood will unveil blockbuster hopefuls like “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning,” “Jurassic World Rebirth,” “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” “Wicked: For Good” and “Superman” with the goal of boosting the business to something resembling its pre-covid stature. With the pandemic and strikes in the rearview, domestic revenues are projected to reach $9.3 billion to $9.5 billion for the year. Those returns would rank as the best post-pandemic stretch though still down from before times, when North American ticket sales regularly climbed to $10.5 billion to $11 billion.
“We’re post Covid and post strikes. This is the new normal now,” says Shawn Robbins, Fandango’s director of movie analytics.

Unfortunately for the intersection of superhero fans and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia stans, Glenn Howerton isn’t the most stretchy and flexible man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — but that’s no knock on the jean shorts.
We’re about to enter the third iteration of the Fantastic Four franchise in the last two decades after past failed attempts featured the talents of irrelevant nobodies like Chris Evans, Jessica Alba and Michael B. Jordan. For some reason, the superpowers that be in superhero entertainment believe that, every 10 years, we need four new actors to play Reed Richards, Sue and Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm. But Hollywood has repeatedly balked at the opportunity to pluck one of the Fantastic Five from FX’s comedy masterpiece It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to play the team’s leader.

The first trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” finally landed on Tuesday morning and fans seem to generally agree that it’s, well, fantastic.
In the footage, we finally get a proper look at Marvel’s first family: Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). They’re currently navigating life after a journey into space that left them forever changed, as Richards explains.
But Sue is quick to comfort him, noting that Ben — who, of course, turns into The Thing — “has always been a rock,” her brother Johnny is always Johnny, and that she isn’t going anywhere. Together, they’ll face whatever’s coming “as a family.”
For the most part, the teaser did its job in getting fans excited, with many feeling hopeful that after multiple attempts to bring the Fantastic Four to screen, the MCU iteration would finally get it right.

“Survive till ’25” has been the mantra of the movie theater business — heck, the entire film industry — ever since pandemic-related delays and Hollywood’s labor strikes wreaked havoc on studio slates and production calendars. Several would-be 2024 blockbusters, like Tom Cruise’s eighth “Mission Impossible” and Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” were pushed into this calendar year instead, providing 2025 with a profusion of movies that everyone hopes will claw the box office back to something approaching its pre-covid glory.

Ben Shwartz, arguably best known for his role in Parks & Rec as the incessantly annoying, but in a funny way, Jean Ralphio-Saperstein, has been attached to a Plastic Man film for quite some time. He had been fan casted in the role for over a decade, and it is hard to deny that he would be perfect to play Patrick O'Brien. For years, there were also rumors that a Plastic Man movie was in development or pre-development and that Ben Schwartz had been cast in the role already. There were even rumors less than a year ago that Plastic Man was in development at DC Studios and that the film would be directed by Darren Aronofsky of all people under the supervision of James Gunn. However, nothing has been confirmed or denied by the studio or any executives as far as I know.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘Thunderbolts*’ are the next two Marvel movies set to hit theaters.
‘Brave New World’ will focus on Sam taking on the role of Captain America during an international crisis involving Red Hulk, Tiamut, Adamantium, and The Leader. Meanwhile, ‘Thunderbolts*’ will follow Yelena, Bucky, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker as they join forces to face an unknown threat. However, it’s still unclear how much these films will shape the MCU’s future.
Recently, well-known industry insider Alex Perez hosted a Q&a where he talked about what’s ahead for the MCU. Part of the discussion highlighted how ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘Thunderbolts’ could play a key role in the bigger Marvel storyline.

Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studio had several significant updates during the recently concluded Sdcc panel, including a new title for the Fantastic Four. Pedro Pascal’s upcoming film is now called The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It was earlier announced that Ralph Ineson would play Galactus, the big baddie in the film. And the latest Galactus theories don’t sound promising for Pascal’s Reed Richards and team.

Marvel Studios has had some outstanding weekends in its history, but not since the paradigm-shifting debut of 2012’s “The Avengers” has a weekend been more consequential for the company than the most recent one.
On Saturday night, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige opened the company’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con by announcing that “Deadpool & Wolverine” would have the highest opening weekend ever for an R-rated movie, and that the Marvel Cinematic Universe had just passed more than $30 billion in global box office grosses, the first film franchise ever to reach that milestone by a wide margin. Roughly an hour later, Feige closed the panel with the announcement that Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed the two most recent “Avengers” movies to more than $4.8 billion in worldwide grosses, were returning to the company to direct the next two “Avengers” movies — and that Robert Downey Jr. was also coming back...

At Marvel Studios' San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday night, it was announced that the movie will officially be titled "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." While the subtitle seems a little unwieldy, there have been quite a few other "Fantastic Four" movies, so it's understandable that they need to differentiate themselves. The movie is Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige's most anticipated upcoming project, with a lot of his excitement seeming to ride on the shoulders of director Matt Shakman, who worked with Marvel on "WandaVision." Feige's excitement translated to a whole lot of excitement for anyone who attended Sdcc's Hall H Marvel presentation, which included far more than just the reveal of the "Fantastic Four" film's full title. For one thing, they literally flew the Fantasticar into Hall H (or at least a life-sized prop version of it), showing off the Fantastic Four's chosen mode of transportation.

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has been released internationally and has been overwhelmingly praised by audiences, though critics have had a different take.
The film was backed by an extensive marketing campaign in recent months, teasing a multitude of variants, cameos, and jokes. At one point, I worried that the film’s key moments might be spoiled, but it managed to surprise me by keeping its most exciting cameos under wraps.
The Rotten Tomatoes audience score reflects this enthusiasm, with the movie currently boasting a 98% approval rating from over 2,500 verified ratings. For comparison, it has surpassed ‘Endgame’ (90%) and ‘Infinity War’ (92%).
However, this comparison may not be entirely accurate yet, as ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has far fewer audience ratings than either ‘Endgame’ or ‘Infinity War.’ Additionally, the initial wave of reviews is likely skewed positively, as opening-day viewers are often die-hard fans. We’ll likely see a more balanced rating in a month...

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was internationally released and so far the movie is considered overwhelmingly brilliant by the audiences, not so much by the critics but this is a different story altogether.

Bad Boys apparently really are for life as it seems that this action-packed franchise isn’t ending anytime soon with Sony Pictures’ Bad Boys 4 set to reach theatres in just a couple months. This series, centered on detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett of the Miami Police Department, has already produced three blockbuster films that have grossed over $840 million as well as a spinoff television show, L.A.’s Finest, making it one of the most successful buddy-cop action-comedy series in history. The most recent film, Bad Boys for Life, was one of the last movies to hit theaters before the pandemic shut them all down and was able to be a critical and box office success – so why would the franchise stop now? Before Spider-Man: No Way Home gathered decades of web-slinging adventures, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had to persuade Spider-Man: No Way Home producer Amy Pascal to allow him to make films for her.
In 2021, the two talked to The New York Times about how Pascal contacted Feige to discuss Spidey’s future after The Amazing Spider-Man 2 received unfavorable reviews in 2014. Starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, the film was helmed by Marc Webb.

Pascal has acknowledged, though, that she was not, at first, fond of the idea of Peter Parker joining the MCU, which led her to throw a “sandwich” at the Marvel boss. It is hardly surprising that Sony looked to Marvel for support following the critical whipping The Amazing Spider-Man 2 received.
It seemed like Sony was at a loss for what to do with its Webslinger at the time.

Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises of all time, anything attached to its name will surely bring a surge of curiosity, and given the success of The Mandalorian on Disney+ and their deal with EA and Respawn bearing new fruit with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wards Jedi: Survivor, perhaps success can be found by integrating the Mandalorian to a video game. Recently, EA pulled the plug on Respawn’s Mandalorian project and now details of the canceled game have surfaced.

Respawn’s Mandalorian project could have been another hit for Star Wars.
The game had a simple premise where the player takes on the role of a Mandalorian, not The Mandalorian Din Djarin from the show itself which could also mean the game would allow the players to customize their character.

With multiple attempts to adapt Marvel’s first family for the big screen, the casual Valentine’s Day news drop of the casting for The Fantastic Four has fans buzzing. As the Fantastic Four finally get the MCU treatment, there is a natural excitement that the superhero team will get the faithful translation that fans have been waiting for. The casting announcement was made with a simple illustrated photo that features the likenesses of the cast actors in their respective roles in a very retro picture. This also led to speculation that the movie may take place in the 60s.

Pedro Pascal is a wonderful actor whose career apparently received a new lease of life ever since he became part of the Star Wars franchise as the Mandalorian, in the series of the same name. Not only do fans love the series, but Pascal’s fan base has considerably expanded ever since the actor started leading as Din Mando Djarin.

Pedro Pascal, aka the internet’s boyfriend, has inevitably performed some of the greatest feats throughout his acting career. But this very acting career and all the star-studded roles he is finally able to land didn’t all come to him served in a silver plate, no. Christopher Nolan recently proclaimed that the decision to hire Robert Downey Jr. to play Tony Stark in “Iron Man” was “one of the most consequential casting decisions that’s ever been made in the history of the movie business.”
By the end of this decade, the same might be said for the four actors who were just cast as the titular superheroes in Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four”: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Like Downey, all of these actors have had recent experiences with big-budget productions — Pascal with “The Mandalorian” and “The Last of Us,” Kirby with the two most recent “Mission: Impossible” films, Quinn with “Stranger Things” and Moss-Bachrach with “Andor.” But, also like Downey, none of them have headlined their own studio action blockbuster before signing up with Marvel.

Former MCU actor Edward Norton famously made several changes to the screenplay for The Incredible Hulk, and writer Zak Penn has revealed what many of them had been.
In the new book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios (per TheDirect), Penn commented on how Norton had taken creative control with the screenplay, insisting upon changes that ranged from minor to major. It would include anything from changing the names of bit characters to a bigger alteration made to the ending. With the latter, Penn admits he didn't understand the change, as it meant that the superhero would be putting innocent people in danger.
Who Are The Young Avengers?
"I had him walking east down the street wearing a blue hat and now he’s walking west down the street wearing a red hat. And I had named his downstairs neighbor Lorina, and he changed it to Malina or something," Penn recalled.

The MCU Multiverse Saga allows for the introduction of new characters and potential villains, making the franchise's obsession with one villain trope more interesting. The exploration of the multiverse in the MCU provides an opportunity to showcase dark versions or evil counterparts of the heroes, adding depth and complexity to their characters. Dark mirror villains are common in the MCU because they allow Marvel to explore the consequences of not choosing heroism, highlight the difficulties faced by heroes, and create compelling fight scenes.
The MCU Multiverse Saga has created much potential for the introduction of new character, potentially allowing the franchise to make its obsession with one villain trope even more interesting. The biggest villain of the Multiverse Saga to date is Kang the Conqueror, the timeline-obliterating Thanos-level threat that Loki and Ant-Man have already had to face. Fantastic Four will not be another origin story Fantastic Four will appear in the MCU to help with the fight against the Kang variants Marvel Phase six needs the Fantastic Four’s help
Marvel's first family, The Fantastic Four, will finally return to the big screen with 2025's Fantastic Four. As the MCU expands its universe, there is more and more room to take beloved comic characters to a larger audience. Fans thought they had seen the last of this superhero family with the 2015 Fantastic 4 reboot, but with the Disney/ Fox merger, it was only a matter of time before another reboot was in the works.
While not much is known about Marvel's upcoming reboot, wild casting rumors are getting fans excited before its release. One thing that's certain from producer Kevin Feige is that this movie won't be another origin story, which is a relief because this story has been told enough times.

Doctor Doom's portrayal in the previous Marvel movies failed to capture his true complexity and menacing nature, limiting him to a typical supervillain role. Doctor Doom's re-introduction in the MCU would be perfectly timed, as the prominence of magic in recent projects like WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2 aligns with his character as a magic user. Doctor Doom's rich backstory, immense power, and ability to serve as a long-term ideological rival make him an excellent choice for the next big villain in the MCU, capable of providing darker and more complex narratives.
Doctor Doom has been portrayed in three Marvel movies -- and none of them have gotten him right. His well-written personality and intriguing backstory hasn't translated to the big screen, failing to relay to the audience why Doctor Doom is a dangerous foe. As rumors continue to swirl around who will play the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Fantastic Four, a new report claims two of the alleged frontrunners are no longer in the race.

Adam Driver would be an excellent choice to play Reed Richards in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Fantastic 4 movie in Phase 6. Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox a few years ago created new possibilities for the MCU, such as introducing the Fantastic Four. Marvel Studios eventually confirmed that the team is coming to the franchise as part of Phase 6. Fantastic 4 will be directed by WandaVision's Matt Shakman and release in theaters in February 2025. However, questions have continued to swirl about who will play the main characters, with Reed Richards fan-casts regularly trending online.

Fantastic Four was revealed to be released as part of the McU's Phase 6 at Sdcc 2022, though details surrounding the film are still elusive.
