Stanley Tucci is opening up about the time after starring in The Devil Wears Prada, the 2006 David Frankel film in which he co-starred with Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Anne Hathaway.
In a new interview, Tucci revealed he had difficulty booking another job after the film despite the box office success it had.
“After The Devil Wears Prada, I couldn’t get a job, and I didn’t quite understand that, but that’s just the way it was,” Tucci told Vanity Fair. “So I went and did stuff that I didn’t necessarily want to do, but I did it.”
Tucci noted that in his career he has “always gone through these fluctuations, and sometimes it’s just the business. Sometimes it was personal reasons why you can’t work.”

The 1970s produced plenty of propulsive heist thrillers, helping to shape the crime genre for decades. Heist movies in the 1960s were typically classified by stylishness. Movies like Gambit, How to Steal a Million and Ocean's 11 presented a version of crime that was painless and suave. The following decade shook things up, reintroducing an element of danger that had been largely absent in the heist genre for years.
Some of the best heist movies ever made were produced in the 1970s, including Dog Day Afternoon and The Sting. Although these movies are just as funny as earlier films like The Italian Job or Take the Money and Run, they also have plenty of tension. The 1970s was the decade when heist movies started to balance humor and excitement, paving the way for later classics of the genre. The practical effects, clever plotting and great performances mean that these heist...

Marvel Studios officially introduced several beloved characters to the MCU this year, but one has clearly risen to the top as the best character of 2024. The Multiverse Saga got off to a rocky start with a handful of projects getting mixed audience reception, but 2024 has been a year of redemption for the studio with some extremely well-received releases. Much of this success has to be attributed to Marvel Studios debut of the X-Men and the inclusion of some beloved characters in the franchise.
Since Disney completed their acquisition of Fox in 2019, 2024 was the first year that the MCU released projects that actually centered around the X-Men. Reimagining the X-Mens stories while still staying true to their roots has been a huge success with fans, and even helped to garner newfound interest among casual viewers. The 1990s were a period of change for the crime genre, and some of the decade's best movies are must-watch material for cinephiles. Directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese and David Fincher set about revitalizing the landscape of the crime genre in the 1990s. There were gritty, realistic thrillers as well as highly stylized crime movies which sought to deconstruct the many tropes of the genre.
To this day, the 1990s stand out as one of the best decades for crime movies, with a number of unimpeachable classics all being produced in a few short years. Not since the glory days of film noir had crime movies been so important and so popular. Some of these classic crime movies were inspired by real cases, which made them even more chilling, while others were pure fantasy. There are some '90s crime movies that every self-respecting film fan should watch.

Who, exactly, is the ‘Fifth Beatle’? Many have had that title bestowed upon them, deemed the essential but just-out-of-frame counterpart to Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. There’s producer George Martin, who worked extensively with the band in the studio, or road manager Neil Aspinall, and press officer Derek Taylor. But one of the top contenders for that title has always been Brian Epstein – the man who discovered the Fab Four in Liverpool, helped usher them into the spotlight, and died at the tender age of 32. Now, his story – and a slice of music history – is being told in biopic Midas Man, starring The Queen’s Gambit’s Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as Epstein.

If you missed out on the Guardian Games Skimmer, you'll be thrilled to hear about the Xrfboard Skimmer that's just been introduced in Destiny 2's Season 25, Revenant. The first Skimmer was only earnable during the Guardians Games event in March of this year, and many players missed out on their chance to earn this limited-time vehicle. Now, even players that don't feel like shelling out money for Silver can ride the space waves on the game's brand-new Skimmer, the Xrfboard.
Skimmers are a new class of vehicle that take the same loadout slot as your Sparrow; they provide limited gameplay enhancements, but essentially allow Guardians to quickly traverse their environments without the need for shatter-skating or well-skating techniques. While there's nothing wrong with Sparrows, Skimmers provide a fresh take on the traditional Destiny format for vehicles. Players itching for something new can get the Xrfboard now, as soon as its mysterious vendor makes his appearance.

Josh Brolin's Cable was notably absent from Deadpool & Wolverine but I'm glad Marvel decided not to bring him back. Deadpool & Wolverine had plenty of cameos from the Fox universe that gave audiences exactly what they wanted. Some were returning characters, like Chris Evans' Human Torch, Jennifer Garner's Elektra, and Wesley Snipes' Blade. Others were characters who had never been fully realized, like Channing Tatum's Gambit.
There were also appearances by characters from the Deadpool franchise, like Cyclops and Vanessa, but their roles were brief. One fan-favorite character missing from the film was Josh Brolin's Cable from Deadpool 2. In an interview with Indiewire, Deadpool & Wolverine co-writer Paul Wernick said Cable "absolutely was considered" for the film, but ultimately didn't make the cut. While it would have been nice to see Brolin reprise his X-Men role, Deadpool & Wolverine made the right decision to leave him out.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the biggest superhero hit released in the last few years. The movie has seen tremendous success both at the box office and with the audiences, somewhat ending the dry spell that the MCU was caught in.
Much of that success can be owed to cameos of Marvel legacy characters. We’ve seen the likes of Wesley Snipes return as Blade, Garner return as Elektra, and even some favorite fan castings like Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
Fans were however expecting more important characters to reprise their roles from the former Fox’s X-Men franchise, and among them was Jean Grey, played by Sophie Turner and Famke Janssen. Ultimately it was rumored that Janssen would appear, but fans were left short regarding both actresses.
Famke Janssen’s portrayal of Jean Grey in the earlier ‘X-Men’ films set a high bar, and many fans had strong attachments to that version.

Deadpool & Wolverine will soon be coming home, and it's bringing a whole host of DVD extras along for the ride. While MCU fans will be happy about more Deadpool & Wolverine content no matter which form it comes in, it's the blooper reel that has audiences most excited. Ryan Reynolds previously teased the film's blooper reel, saying that there will be countless alt takes to the movie's best jokes in the compilation. Thanks to Entertainment Tonight, fans have their first look at the incredibly explicit outtakes, and it more than lives up to the hype.
The teaser for the gag reel pulls no punches, opening with the scene where Deadpool (Reynolds) introduces himself to Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) in the Tva. The version in the final cut of the movie is already ripe with innuendo, but the version in the gag reel blows right past that, toeing the line...

The MCU has developed a problem, and the latest Mephisto tease in Agatha All Along is a prime example. Agatha All Along is the titular witch's solo series, detailing her journey down the Witches' Road with a coven pulled together in a desperate bid to reacquire the powers stripped from her by Wanda Maximoff in WandaVision. The series is Marvel's latest foray into horror as the Witches' Road presents a series of trials replete with supernatural events. So far, this has been confined to the spooky imagery surrounding witches, embodied in particular by the Salem Seven.
Agatha All Along episode 3 revealed the first trial faced by the coven in their journey down the Witches' Road. This trial involved the practice of alchemy as the coven, led by Jennifer Kale, brewed an antidote for the "Alewife's Revenge" poison. It also delved further into the covens' backstories, with Agatha's being of particular importance.

Just when everybody thought the MCU was done, Deadpool & Wolverine shut the haters in the best possible way. With its R-rated gore and terrific cameos, the 2024 multiversal adventure raised a storm at the box office. However, the records are not the only thing that are shattered by the film, it also shattered the MCU with a harsh roast in the latest-released deleted scene.

One of the primary reasons behind Deadpool & Wolverine‘s success was its meta jokes. The film continued the quirky trend of Deadpool films to go full meta and induce several self-referential jokes and several real-life events in the screenplay. But the recently released deleted footage hinted that the Ryan Reynolds film was supposed to go more merciless on the MCU.

Channing Tatum's Gambit Is Basically Getting His Own Series (Working for the Tva) - Theory Explained
Gambit made his long-awaited return to live action, as portrayed by Channing Tatum, in Deadpool & Wolverine and now Tatum's version of the beloved mutant may very well enter the Marvel Comics Universe, playing a leading role in the upcoming Tva series. With its many connections to MCU lore, the Tva comic series has quickly become highly anticipated among the fandom, with Gambit's inclusion adding to readers' eagerness.
According to Marvel, Tva #1 written by Katharyn Blair, with art by Pere Prez will inaugurate a new era across mediums for the Time Variance Authority, and in the process will bring the worlds of the Marvel Universe and the MCU more closely in concert than ever before.
While much about the "how" of this merger remains open to speculation, many fans have quickly come to believe that this will lead to a prominent role for Deadpool & Wolverine's Gambit.

Deadpool & Wolverine is the latest release from the MCU and has become a box office hit, in part due to the return of some beloved live-action Marvel characters. We’ve seen Snipes’ Blade, Garner’s Elektra, and Evans’ Human Torch make a comeback, but the film also offered a chance for one character who was meant to have his own movie almost 20 years ago.
If you’ve been keeping up with Channing Tatum or the movie’s marketing, you know that Gambit appears in a smaller role. While it might not seem like a big deal at first, it holds significant weight when you consider the backstory and the long wait for Tatum to finally portray him.
Tatum and Gambit share a long history. The actor and his longtime friend and producer, Reid Carolin, had an idea for a Gambit movie that they pitched to 21st Century Fox.

The Deadpool & Wolverine star said they were “absoooolutely mad” that their supervillain character Cassandra Nova killed Chris Evans‘ Human Torch during a surprise cameo after he last played the Marvel superhero in the 2005 and ’07 Fantastic Four movies.

Deadpool & Wolverine which hit theaters this week is teeming with several superhero cameos. For the first time, the third installment in the mouthy anti-hero franchise unites disparate characters from the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Marvel cinematic universes, who have never appeared in the same movie until now.
As Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) explains in the film, after Disney merged with 20th Century Fox in 2019, they were allowed to fold the characters of X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU. And Deadpool was first in line to cash in on the opportunity by debuting several Marvel characters in a film.
Early on in the movie, Deadpool and Wolverine are banished to a place called The Void, a dumping ground for abandoned Marvel characters. They run into several superheroes who the studio has abandoned.

"Make Me Like Gambit": Gambit Fans Share the X-Men Hero's Greatest Moments in Social Media Challenge
Gambit's fans share their favorite moments and panels showcasing his charm and personality. Marvel's upcoming Uncanny X-Men series may provide a bigger platform for Gambit's character development. Gambit's charm lies in his nonchalant demeanor and passion for his actions, making him relatable and likable.
Social media users have come out to show some love for Marvel's most underrated mutant, Gambit. For the X-Men fanbase, Gambit can be something of a mixed bag. He's someone who audiences either love or they hate, largely because (to some at least) Marvel has spent 27 years mistreating him and his character. And for audiences indifferent to him, it might be hard to see what Gambit lovers get so hyped about.

Edgar Wright declined an offer to work on Fox's Gambit film because he didn't know much about the character and it felt like someone else's dream gig. Simon Kinberg, a fan of Wright's work, had approached him for various X-Men movies. Another Marvel project that Edgar Wright was approached to work on besides Ant-Man was Fox'x Gambit film, as the filmmaker reveals why he declined the offer. Easily one of the most talked-about new series of 2020, The Queen's Gambit garnered universal praise once it was released on Netflix in October, and even set a new streaming record for the most viewed limited series of all time on the platform. The drama miniseries tells the story of a young orphan named Beth who discovers she's a chess prodigy. Through her young life, she pursues her dream, rather obsession, of becoming a grandmaster.
While the story, which is set in the '50s, almost seems real, it is actually a work of fiction, based on the 1983 Walter Tevis novel of the same name.

Right before the Disney takeover happened, Fox were busy creating a host of new X-Men spinoffs. Among them was a solo movie for Kitty Pryde which was to be helmed by Deadpool director Tim Miller. Of course, now that the rights to mutantkind are resting with Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige is expected to wipe the slate clean and come up with his own projects that will fit into the McU. But is there a chance that Miller could make his Kitty Pryde film for Marvel?
Well, no, to put it plainly. Miller spoke to ComicBook.com about his love of the X-Men franchise and his enthusiasm for what he was going to do with Kitty. And it turns out the filmmaker is under no illusion that it’ll actually happen now.
“I love the X-Men. I don’t expect Marvel to call me and say, ‘Come do the X-Men,’ so...

Neill Blomkamp is finally getting back behind the camera for a new feature and this time, he's making a horror movie. The District 9 filmmaker has lined up his next project, which is titled Inferno and has Taylor Kitsch attached to star. Production is expected to get underway in early 2020.
According to a new report, Agc Studios has stepped in to back Inferno. It was revealed by Neill Blomkamp back in August that he was no longer set to direct RoboCop Returns, the planned sequel to Paul Verhoeven's 1987 sci-fi classic. Instead, Blomkamp said he was moving onto a horror movie. Though, at the time, no details were revealed. Blomkamp had this to say about the project in a statement.
"I am very excited to be getting behind the camera and making Inferno with Agc. The film is filled with themes and concepts that I find deeply fascinating, I feel lucky to be shooting it.

Thanks in part to the recent success of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum – not to mention the new Toy Story 4 – Keanu Reeves is currently one of the internet’s favorite, most meme-able film stars. So when Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige told ComicBook.com earlier this month that he and his team have approached the actor for almost every movie they make, it was all too predictable that the fancasts would come flooding in.
Over on Twitter, for instance, we’ve seen a vast array of suggestions that range from Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four to Namor to Adam Warlock. Apparently, there’s an abundance of ways in which Marvel Studios could make use of the Matrix star, but until an actual casting decision is confirmed, fans can still get a kick out of imagining what might be.
