When Aldo and Gina duck into a theater to elude the cops, the movie playing is La vie facile (1949) with Victor Mature and Lizabeth Scott.
Musicians in the band on the soundtrack included bassist Jack Bruce and Burt Bacharach on piano.
One of the movie posters on the wall in Gina's room is for La Pantera Rosa, the Italian name for La Panthère rose (1963), and lists Peter Sellers as one of the stars.
First film in over five years for Victor Mature, who was lured out of retirement by Peter Sellers calling him personally.
