5/10

Mediocre production about secret agents and an international conspiracy

The film concerns an American agent (George Ardisson) assigned to rescue a scientific (Eduardo Fajardo) abducted in Saint Felipe Island (South America) by a tyrant named Siqueiros (Fernando Sancho) . A Russian agent (Frank Wolff) equally will go to the sunny island to free the scientist .

The movie is a Spanish-Italian co-production about secret agents , a sub-genre called ¨Euro-spy¨ , very usual at that time of the 60s . The origin of this sub-genre results to be the ¨James Bond¨ series , especially : ¨James versus Dr. No¨ and ¨From Russia with Love¨ that caused an authentic flood of copies, imitations and rip offs , each time more and more awful . The picture has action-packed , suspense , tension , thriller but with lackluster and little budget . The film is fast-movement ; besides , being developed in various scenarios , though specially on the hot island . However, the movie is a bit boring and there are situations and images that are ridiculous and embarrassing . In the picture appears habitual actors of co-productions : the great Fernando Sancho and Eduardo Fajardo , both of whom were players of numerous Spaghetti Western . In addition , appearing other prolific secondaries as Sal Borgese, Luis Undini, and Luz Marquez , all of them customary actors of this kinds of genres as Spaghetti Western , Peplum or Euro-spy . The motion picture was regularly directed by Sergio Sollima who made some classic Spaghetti Westerns as the ¨Cuchillo¨ trilogy starred by Tomas Milian . Rating: Average but entertaining .

Boring imitation of Bond!

Beautiful song sung by Orieta Berti. The film, in its entirety, is a kind of nonsense, George Ardisson does not impress with anything, Michel Lemoine, again in the role of villain is a little better, Frank Wolff is just a bit funny as a Russian spy, Evi Marandi is a Greek (in real life) beautiful, OK as a English spy. And Fernando Sancho is the same as in all the movies. To be seen only if you got nothing better to do.
