Paco Martinez Soria's sympathetic recital with great entertainment and fun

Diverting Comedy with the particularity of an unexpected pregnant on the wife an elderly man that rekindles his libido about youngest women from an amusing script with almost-surrealist dialogue from Vicente Coello ("Jenaro, El De Los 14") y Mariano Ozores, ("La Graduada") , being based on a successful play by playwright Carlos Llopis . Set in Madrid , there Eduardo Contreras (Paco Martínez Soria) , a likeable owner of an umbrella company, gets pregnant his wife Antonina (Florinda Chico) , while they were waiting for pregnating their daugher Pili (María José Goyanes) whose husband is Claudio (José Sacristán). Along the way , Contreras flirts with his gorgeous secretary (Mirta Miller) and the next door girl (Mary Paz Pondal) .

Attractive Spanish comedy but extremely moralizing with the great Paco Martínez Soria who became himself a big star during his last years ; he steals the show with his Aragonese accent , and playing splendidly his usual role as a fast-talking , grumpy as well as intimate old man . There are regular naughty and sexy elements at the time as a bombshell secretary (Mirta Miller) who alters the hormones of the male personnel , the sexy neighbour (Mary Paz Pondal) who is aim of the gossip and critique of the moralist neighbour (Rafaela Aparicio) , among others. There are some nice jokes in the film and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . The flick interweaves fun comedy along with a social criticism about the peculiar Spain of the 70s . This film packs customary images of the social life from the sixties , nutty situations , but it especially contains catching touches of humor , tongue-in-cheek and irony ; adding the typical Spanish idiosyncrasy . Nicely performed by Paco Martínez Soria , a noted Spanish stage and screen actor . He played mostly comedy roles and was born on December 18, 1902 in Tarazona, Zaragoza, and died 1982 in Madrid . He moved to Barcelona in 1907 where made mostly his career and had his own theatre in Barcelona , the Talía Theatre . He was a great comedian actor and writer, especially known for La Ciudad No Es Para Mí (1966), Don Erre Que Erre (1970) and ¡¡Se Armó El Belén!! (1970). The film is full of familiar faces and cameos , such as : Maria Jose Goyanes as daughter , Jose Sacristan as her hubby , Manuel Zarzo as a cab man , Mirta Miller as the beautiful secretary , Mary Paz Pondal as the sexy neighbour , Rafael López Somoza , Antonio Ferrandi , Erasmo Pascual , Ricardo Merino , Venancio Muro, Jose Yepes and ,of course ,Rafaela Aparicio.

It contains atmospheric cinematography by Manuel Rojas , as well as evocative musical score by Antón García Abril . This is a nice comedy movie , written by prolific Vicente Coello and Mariano Ozores , made in old style , being professionally directed by Pedro Lazaga , though it has some ups and downs . Pedro Lazaga was born on October 3, 1918 in Valls, Tarragona, Catalonia , and deceased in 1979 . He was a director and writer, known for Los Chicos Del Preu (1967), and his notorious films about Spanish Civil war and Francoist period as Cuerda De Presos (1956) , El Frente Infinito , La Fiel Infantería and Posición Avanzada (1966). Being specially known for his comedies as Abuelo Made in Spain , Las Secretarias , Abominable Hombre De Costa Del Sol , La Pandilla De Los Once , Trampa Para Catalina , Martes Y Trece , Trio De Damas and many others . His most known films were with the popular comic player Paco Martinez Soria , such as : Old made in Spain, , Padre De La Criatura , Alegre Divorciado , Estoy Hecho Un Chaval , Vaya Par Gemelos, among others .
