Clive Revill, the actor known for voicing Emperor Palpatine in “The Empire Strikes Back” (1980), died March 11 in Sherman Oaks, Calif. He was 94.

Revill’s death after a long battle with dementia was confirmed to Variety by his daughter Kate.

Over the years, Revill starred in “Kaleidoscope” (1966) alongside Warren Beatty, “The Assassination Bureau” (1969) with Oliver Reed and Diana Rigg and played the fire marshall in “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” (1993). Revill worked with director Billy Wilder on both “The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes” (1970) and “Avanti!” (1972), which starred Jack Lemmon. Revill received a Golden Globe nomination back in 1973 for his supporting role in “Avanti!”

Film historian Karina Longworth‘s “You Must Remember This” podcast has been beloved by cinephiles ever since it launched 11 years ago to explore “the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century.” The latest season, “The Old Man Is Still Alive,” is Longworth’s most enlightening and entertaining to date. Juliet Mills, who starred in the 1970s sitcom “Nanny and the Professor” and played Jane Leeves’ mother on “Hot in Cleveland,” has been cast in a recurring role on “Grey’s Anatomy,” TheWrap can exclusively report. She’ll appear in at least three episodes, beginning Thursday.

Per ABC, the 81-year-old British actress plays Maxine, who “comes into the hospital with a friend, but surprisingly knows Jules from outside the hospital.” Jules, a surgical intern who first appeared in Season 19, is played by Adelaide Kain.

Mills also co-stars in Chris Pine’s upcoming directorial debut “Poolman” with Jennifer Jason Leigh, Danny DeVito and Annette Bening. In 2022, she developed and co-hosted “British Classics With Juliet Mills” on TCM. She recently starred in U.K. stage productions of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Lady Vanishes” as the enigmatic Miss Froy and “Darker Shores” opposite her husband Maxwell Caulfield.
