While filming a scene where Celeste Yarnall falls into quick sand, one of the bad guys accidentally dropped his rifle when he ran up and it hit Yarnall on the cheekbone, cutting it severely. Blood was pouring down her face, but she kept going with the scene. They ended up not using the shot because it was too horrific. The nearest hospital was four hours away so all they could do was tape her face back together with Band-Aids and put makeup over it.
