The cave Celeste Yarnall used as a dressing room was also the men's latrine for the male cast and crew members.
Celeste Yarnall said she only took the role because she was pregnant and needed the money.
Promotion of the film included ads resembling folded ten-dollar bills being dropped on busy city streets.
While filming a scene where Celeste Yarnall falls into quick sand, one of the bad guys accidentally dropped his rifle when he ran up and it hit Yarnall on the cheekbone, cutting it severely. Blood was pouring down her face, but she kept going with the scene. They ended up not using the shot because it was too horrific. The nearest hospital was four hours away so all they could do was tape her face back together with Band-Aids and put makeup over it.
Sequel to Mad Doctor of Blood Island (1969).
