Ahead of The Flip Off‘s 2025 premiere, the stars have been putting out over-the-top Instagram videos to pique interest. Up until now, Christina Hall’s most recent husband Josh had been part of them. But now that they’re divorcing, it seems that he’s completely out of the show too.

The Flip Off was initially supposed to be a reboot of Flip or Flop.

TikTok is doling out cold, hard cash as part of an effort to build up its creator base.

The popular video app appears to have established several referral programs that reward users who invite their friends to open their own TikTok accounts. One set of incentives, as discussed in a report published by The Information, revolves around TikTok Shop. Other creators have been promised credit on TikTok’s Promote hub or Amazon if they bring other creators onto the app.

Evidence of that referral system comes from creator economy expert Lia Haberman, who posted a TikTok screenshot on Threads. The image shows two reward options — either a $300 Promote credit or a $100 Amazon gift card — for users who successfully bring their buddies into the 1 Minute+ Growth Program.

TikTok isn’t dishing out these rewards for any old referrals. To get credit, referrers must onboard a creator with at least 10,000 YouTube subscribers or 100,000 Instagram followers.

As TV Shows Ace previously noted, The Flip Off is moving on without Josh Hall amid his split from Christina Hall. However, it seems like Christina remains intent on filming the series anyway.

Both the Halls and El Moussas have spent a lot of time and energy on promotional materials to showcase The Flip Off. The show can certainly continue in some capacity, but fans agree that it can’t continue in its original format if Christina is without a partner.

More than six years after their divorce was finalized, Flip or Flop hosts Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall are set to reunite for a new HGTV series.

It was announced on Wednesday morning as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation to advertisers that El Moussa and Hall will challenge each others’ flipping skills in (heh) The Flip Off.

As is standard for The Curse, things are getting uncomfortable immediately, on both an emotional level and a physical one. The Seigels have decided — well, Whitney has decided, and Asher has gone along, because that is their power dynamic — that all buyers have to sign a letter in support of the Pueblo nation.

Film Development Council of the Philippines (Fdcp) has tweaked its incentive schemes for both international co-productions and offshore production, with the latter cash rebate being increased to 25% with the addition of a cultural bonus.

Philippines currently offers a 20% incentive through its Film Location Incentive Program (Flip), which is now being augmented with the 5% cultural bonus capped at $540,000 (PHP30M). Eligible formats for Flip include features, animated and documentary films, TV and streaming series and virtual reality content.

The miniumum qualifying spend to apply for the rebate is PHP20M for feature films and animation, PHP8M for documnetary and PHP3M for short films and each episode of a series of eight episodes or more.

Fcdp has also combined its International Co-production Fund (Icof) and Asean Co-production Fund (Acof) into a single Icof fund that has three separate funding caps for different formats.

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (Fdcp) has added a 5% cultural bonus incentive to the existing 20% cash rebate that is part of the Film Location Incentive Program (Flip), it was revealed at the Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Contents and Film Market.

The cultural bonus will apply if the project showcases Philippines culture and heritage. The total Flip rebate is now capped at $540,000. The bonus is already available for projects made under the aegis of the Fdcp’s International Co-Production Fund (Icof), where films or series from any country of origin with a co-production agreement with a registered Filipino production company can apply. Here the bonus can be up to $18,000 for selected projects from the Asean region, $35,000 for feature films and series and $18,000 for documentaries.

The minimum required spend in the Philippines for Flip projects are $353,000 for feature films, $53,000 for shorts, $141,000 for documentaries and $53,000 per episode for series,...

His other credits include the film “Johnny Dangerously,” the TV movie “Free to Be…You and Me,” and the TV show “Doctor, Doctor.”

Born in Brooklyn, Steinberg went to college at the U. of Maryland and law school at the U. of Pittsburgh and began practicing law in Manhattan.

He disliked being a lawyer, his family said, and met Mel Brooks when he would stop for coffee at Chock Full o’ Nuts. After much badgering from Steinberg, Brooks told him to try writing a script for “Get Smart.” When Brooks told him the script was funny, he quit his job at the law firm the same day.

Norman Steinberg, the Emmy-winning screenwriter who teamed with Mel Brooks on Blazing Saddles and My Favorite Year and wrote for the Michael Keaton-starring Mr. Mom and Johnny Dangerously, has died. He was 83.

Steinberg died March 15 at his Hudson Valley home in upstate New York, his family announced.

Steinberg also wrote Yes, Giorgio (1982), starring Italian opera star Luciano Pavarotti in his feature acting debut, and co-wrote Funny About Love (1990), directed by Leonard Nimoy and starring Gene Wilder and Christine Lahti.

The Brooklyn native and former lawyer won his Emmy very early in his career, for his work on a Flip Wilson variety show.

His TV résumé also included developing Marlo Thomas’ 1974 landmark kids special, Free to Be … You & Me (he brought Brooks in on that); serving as a writer and executive producer on the first two seasons of CBS’ Cosby; and creating the short-lived CBS sitcoms Doctor, Doctor and Teech.

Chrishell Stause is giving fans an update on her recovery after recently undergoing surgery to remove an ovarian cyst.

The “Selling Sunset” star took to her Instagram Story on Friday, taking fans along with her as she headed to an appointment to get her stitches removed.

“On my way to go get my stitches out. Let’s do this,” Stause, 41, said in a video shared to her Story. In the background, her partner G Flip, 28, was heard cheering before she added: “I’m gonna be a big baby inside.” She then turned the camera to the Australian pop singer who shouted: “Whoo! The project was supervised by Sony Music India which released Xscape here. We're feeling a little bereft. The Big Reunion has come to an end - though at least it was with a bang! The show went out in style with the much-trailed Hammersmith gig and now it's time to pack up our trouser skirts, heart glitter and gel pens and get back to our adult lives (well, as adult as we get anyway.) Like Halloween episodes, Christmas episodes tend to be restricted to contemporary settings (though I should add a shout-out to 1980s British drama sequel Another Flip for Dominick, follow-up to The Flipside of Dominick Hyde, which actually problematized the lack of Christmas in the future). Also like Halloween episodes, they tend to be comedies, horrors, or comedy-horrors. And so, Season’s Greetings from a collection of ghosts, pagan gods and people trying and failing to get through Christmas without getting embroiled in hilarious hi-jinks.

She was 95 years old at the time of her death. Here is what her agent Fred Wostbrock had to say about her iconic career.

"She was a true pioneer. She was the first lady of stand up comedy. She paved the way for everybody. And she conquered television, movies, Broadway, record albums, nightclubs, books, and radio. She did it all. A true pioneer."

The comedy legend was born Phyllis Ada Driver in Lima, Ohio in 1917. After a stint as an advertising copywriter, Phyllis Diller got her big break at the age of 37, when she first performed stand-up comedy at the San Francisco nightclub Purple Onion. Her act often revolved around her fictional husband named "Fang" and self-depricating humor about her looks. In the 1960s and 1970s,...

Diller broke into the comedy scene in 1955 at San Francisco's famed Purple Onion nightclub. Diller, who was 37 and a housewife at the time, won the crowd over when the owner gave her a substitute stand-up spot.

Diller found success in television, movies, Broadway, and as a recording artist. In the '60s and '70s Diller found an audience as she became a frequent guest on The Tonight Show, The Flip Wilson Show, and Laugh-In. Younger audiences discovered her from her stints on shows like Family Guy, 7th Heaven, and The Drew Carey Show. She lent her voice to the Pixar movie A Bug's Life. She also appeared in the raunchy documentary The Aristocrats.
