An action-packed adventure with a 90’s backbone awaits viewers in Netflix’s The Electric State starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt.

The film also features the voice work of Alan Tudyk, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate and more. Based on the graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag, the film watches Michelle (Brown) and Keats (Pratt) venture into the dangerous Exclusion Zone and the heart of artificial intelligence firm Sentre to try and rescue Michelle’s brother. The politics of robots vs. humans fall to the side as each of them has their own robot companion, and they meet more on their adventures to track down Christopher (Woody Norman), who Michelle was told died in a car accident that also took the lives of their parents.

Several 90’s needle drops play in many different scenes from the more sentimental ones to the high-adrenaline ones. Some are performed by a piano-playing Taco robot.

The Flaming Lips’ “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 1” is a gorgeous blast of psychedelic dream pop about a Japanese girl warrior who represents the best chance of defeating evil machines programmed to destroy humanity. The Oasis reunion tour is already shaping up to be the biggest concert experience of 2025, with U.S. tour dates recently added and thousands of fans scrambling to nab seats online.

New North American tour dates have been confirmed by the musicians ahead of their hotly anticipated reunion next year. Among the sets in the U.S., Canada and Mexico are gigs at Rogers Stadium in Toronto on Aug. 24, Soldier Field in Chicago on Aug. 28 and MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Aug. 31.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will also play the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Sept. 6 and Estadio Gnp Seguros in Mexico City on Sept. 12. American indie band Cage the Elephant will open for all the shows.

Update: The Oasis reunion tour has been confirmed. While it’s only a handful of dates — none of which are in North America — this is still huge news in the music world. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, August 31st.

The tour begins on July 4th at Cardiff Principality Stadium for a two-night stint before heading to Manchester Heaton Park for four nights. After that? Josh Brolin technically served as the host on this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, but Ariana Grande also spent plenty of time on screen. In addition to serving as the episode’s musical guest, the pop star appeared in three separate sketches, including one in which she and Wicked co-star Bowen Yang spoofed Moulin Rouge.

Marking her first live appearance in support of eternal sunshine, which was released this past Friday, Grande performed “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” and “imperfect for you.” For the latter performance, Grande was introduced by her mother.

Grande also teamed up with Yang for a spoofing of Moulin Rouge, which saw the pair sing songs that were cut from the final version of the film, such as Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” Oasis’ “Wonderwall,” Styx’s “Come Sail Away,” and “Happy Birthday.”

Ariana Grande wasn’t just the musical guest during the March 9 episode of “Saturday Night Live.” While she took the stage to perform two songs from “Eternal Sunshine,” her just-released sixth album, “We Can’t Be Friends” and “Imperfect For You” — and was introduced by her mom, Joan Grande, for the second number — she also took on two different sketches.

After appearing as a patient in a group therapy session during the first half of the show, she was invited back to the stage later on in the night for a “Moulin Rouge” spoof, giving her the opportunity to sing covers of multiple hit songs.

According to Le Parisien, the iconic singer-actress was found dead at her home in Paris on Sunday. No further details have been shared at this time. Birkin had canceled a series of performances in Paris scheduled earlier this year for health reasons. She was previously diagnosed with leukemia in 2002 and suffered from a minor stroke in 2021.

Written and directed by Zach Braff, A Good Person follows Pugh’s Allison as she struggles in the aftermath of a tragic car accident that killed her fiancé’s sister and her husband. After becoming addicted to pain medication, Allison befriends Morgan Freeman’s Daniel as she tries to move forward.

A Good Person received a mixed critical reception, but there were plenty of positive reviews of the film. In the film, Allison plays piano at several points in the film, and sings to fiancé Nathan during their engagement party at the start of the film, and then again at the end. Allison writes new songs during her time in rehab, lyrics that encapsulate what she’s feeling and...

In the new film "A Good Person," Florence Pugh plays Allison, a young woman whose life is derailed when she is involved in a fatal car accident with her soon-to-be sister-in-law. She spirals into an addiction to oxycontin, and while in recovery, she begins to write songs. Pugh performs them herself in the film, something that, as it turns out, the actor has a history with. 

"A Good Person" is written, directed, and produced by Zach Braff, who wrote the role specifically for Pugh, who stars alongside Morgan Freeman, Molly Shannon, Chinaza Uche, and Celeste O'Connor. /Film's own Ethan Anderton recently got a chance to speak to Braff about "A Good Person," and asked him whether or not he worked with Pugh on the lyrics and development of the original songs.

Liam Gallagher launched his tour in support of his new album, C’Mon You Know, Thursday with a hometown gig in Manchester where the singer performed an Oasis track neither he nor his former band ever played live.

“American Idol” auditions continued with the second episode of Season 20 on Sunday, March 6. Nine talented artists earned golden tickets to Hollywood, with Kenedi Anderson securing the second coveted Platinum Ticket (Huntergirl received the first in Episode 1).
